Took a test drive. Instant book.. After testing Vstrom- too high for me (5'7) ADV390 - Same issue. But price is too high for me . Duke- good bike. Not for me . Hunter - 😂😂😂 Hero Xpulse - nice. Xpulse 200T- good bike.. JAWA- ground cleaning and heating.. Bajaj- already 3 bikes from bajaj ( my friends said they gonna kill me if i buy another bajaj) Ronin- instant book after first ride.. GTT will help u in traffic.. engine feels great.. good nice pick ups..easy to maneuver.. great on highways.. great exaust notes.. looks very nice to my taste. Pillion seat comfort.. What else do u need.

I have already rode the bike to mountains. Handled a bit of off Roading with ease. The bike is smooth af. Mileage around 38-40. It's loaded with features and definitely comes handy when the. Needs arise

Ronin SPE EDT Dec-2023. Bike age 5 months : Parts changed: 1. Gear Sensor ( 4 days delay) 2. Front Back Sprocket (4 days delay) 3. Rear Mono Shock ( 15 days delay) 4. Rear brake kit full ( under progress) brake failed while driving. 4 days and counting Service center do not have proper person to repair. delays are resolution delay, out of 5 months bike in breakdown condition for 1 month combined. Think twice before buying TVS bikes. RTR310 people are also complaining. Don't think this is problem with my bike only, there are many owners fighting to get service and repairs. Everyone does not go on twitter and UA-cam to comment so don't be ignorant. you will suffer. @ TVS don't comment here we will resolve issue. you already have issue open to repair rear brake and bike is in your service center.
Exhaust sounds good but I think I'll give this one a pass, coming from an RTR 200, it doesn't seem to bring the improvements I was hoping for (>130 top speed, refinement, 6th gear...). Under 3L what would you recommend for touring?
I'm probably not suited for this, but did you try the Benelli TRK 251? Or one of the scramblers? I could've recommended Honda CB350 Highness, but that bike also doesn't go upto 130 km/h; it's just the most all-round comfortable bike in that price.
@@Farhan_049 Have not looked at Benelli yet, from what I read about some of their bikes the cost of maintanence seems high and good service centers aren't easy to find. I've looked at the CB350 before and liked it, no 6th gear but I know more gears doesn't equal more performance, just wanted to own a bike with more gears 😄. Currently the CB350 & Himalayan seem nice. I toured on a friend's 2021 Himalayan and the performance was satisfactory but the exhaust note and headlights were meh. Finally there's RE 650, I remember doing 125 kmph on a highway and one guy with an RE 650 blew past me effortlessly, so performance is good. The exhaust note again is meh and I don't know if they have improved the bike's reliability. My friend's RE 500 Thunderbird had so many issues...

I really want to buy a bike from an indigenous brand, but if they suck, it'll be the Highness for me. I'll just change the rear tyre to that of the RS.

There are plenty of bikes like RE 650, Dominar 400, Himalayan... that aren't superbikes but can have a >130 Top Speed with good comfort levels for long rides. The only reason I mentioned the above limit was that in my head, I'm thinking that if the Bike has a higher top speed then it might have less vibrations in lower speeds and less engine noise since I'm not pushing the engine to it's limits. I don't know if you are a Ronin fan boy trying to defend his fav Bike but for me, coming from an RTR 200 this Bike did not seem like a worth while upgrade, not saying that the Bike sucks or isn't good... just that it's not for me. Sorry if I seem a bit offensive and if I'm interpreting your comment the wrong way, your comment reminded me of an experience I had with some cops. I was wearing my riding gear and cruising at ~70 when I was stopped at a checkpoint where a cop was like "ah you are a racer huh, why do you need all this protection? you also have a racing bike huh?" dude wasted my time a lot and was trying to pull my RTR 200 keys, the main motive was that he needed some greasing but the blind assumption about racing just pissed me off, especially when I take so much care to be a careful rider.
Reviews highlighted many negative aspects of Ronin relative to its segment of cruisers - but Ronin has sold More than Xpulse 200T, more than Imperiale400, more than Yezdis and even Meteor 350. Though most reviews compare Ronin with Hunter - but Hunter is a performance oriented roadster while Ronin is a light weight cruiser. It should have been launched when Hero Honda 1st gen Karizma had been around , two 225 cc bikes .They are having equal performance.

I'm not Strell but there is a good chance your Dad would prefer the Classic 350 more than the Ronin due to the retro charm and timeless design. Moreover it's a new age motorcycle now. If your budget allows, gift him that. Ronin's looks are a hit or miss even to new age buyers like us. Ronin is definitely more VFM out of the two and by a HUGE margin. There is no comparison there. Hope this helps you inch closer to making a decision.
Why don't you take your dad to test ride all these options? It's a good gesture that you want to gift him something, but I believe he will be happier if you let him choose.
