Hi @Glens Garage I've been using the iCarSoft CR Max BT (same functionality as yours but connects via Bluetooth instead of the cable in the OBD port) for quite some time now, and I'd like to offer you a good tip. Sorry in advance if you already know the following - Make sure the vehicle's battery volts (it shows you the vehicle's battery voltage on the upper right of the screen) are 12volts or higher whilst using the scan tool. Either run the vehicle before scanning to top the battery up (if it runs), or use a battery maintainer. I did notice yours was dropping until you started your engine. The reason for offering this to you is because I've had some minor glitches but after charging the vehicle battery up those glitches simply went away (some of the menus/functions - example ABS bleeding will prompt you to make sure the battery volts are a minimum of 12VDC whereas others don't give the same prompt). Anyway, I agree the screen needs a firm press - that's my main issue with this scan tool (and I'm in the UK so can't offer any advice for Canadian vehicles - before someone asks - but mine also came with the wrong adapter needed for UK mains/power sockets, but a 2 amp 5VDC USB charger works fine)
I purchased the CR MAX to maintain my 2006 Trailblazer Super Sport. Found out quickly that anything I attempt, CR MAX tells me "vehicle not support". I installed a new battery in my 2010 Impala and when I tried to register the new battery, CR MAX again told me "vehicle not support". I have tried to call icarSoft customer support for the last two months and all I get is a message that they are power down. I e-mailed them several times and they kept giving me functions to perform. I can't perform any of their functions as all I get is, you guessed it, "vehicle not support" They have quit responding to my e-mails. When I went to my local UPS store to return the CR MAX I was told it would cost $200.00 shipping to send it back. YOU HAVE ALL BEEN WARNED NOW.
I just got mine today, I will update it and test on my family vehicles. If it does not perform I will send it back. I got mine via Amazon so I think it should not be hard if it is defective.
How's it holding up for you? I'm planning to buy the same as they offer free update for life. I think Autel charging over $100 to get it updated is ludacris.
I have 5th gen ram 2500 6.7l and it shows only up 2017. Customer service said they were releasing updates this past October(2023). I wanted to double check as I do not see anything as of this post. Update comes over WiFi, correct? No need to hook it up to a pc?
@@boatinglife1 Different supplier. I got mine in the US, Glens Garage got his from a supplier in France. That extra extension cable is not really part of the iCarsoft CR MAX.

I’m curious if you’ve tried a different brand of scanner. If so, what brand and did it support your vehicles with more functionality?
Im also having the same problem. Only certain functions work. Dealer told me all functions work on my Subaru Impreza
I just got mine today, I will update it and test on my family vehicles. If it does not perform I will send it back. I got mine via Amazon so I think it should not be hard if it is defective.

So far it’s been good and I did like the idea of the free updates. Had a few updates come through already.
i bought this scanner 3 months ago, nowt but trouble, and customer service does not exist.

That’s correct-it Will download any new updates any time it connects to Wifi.

6:06 You got an extra 90 degree OBD "ribbon" cable which I could use on my other car. I'll have to order one.
