Thanks immensely Christie. You're doing a great job. Can a Med. Laboratory Scientist who has applied to HCPC but awaiting link for Scrutiny fee apply as a Laboratory Technician? Also, since Laboratory Technician is included as one of the eligible occupation (code 3111) would licence be required?
Dear Christie Thanks for this information, I have an ND and HND in Science Laboratory Technology and Environmental biology, graduated and served since 2012 but don't have much experience in the Lab especially with automated equipment and am almost clocking 40yrs old With this new development with jobs enlisted in the NHS is there any chance for a 40yr old male with very little experience to get a job, because even some care homes request specifically for female applicants?
40 year is still far from retirement age so pls apply to all that are willing to recruit any gender, and confirm they can provide you with a CoS if you're overseas
Hi Christie, nice content. Are you saying someone without medical background doesn't need 300 hours of work experience before applying for care jobs with tier 2 sponsorship?
Thank you so much for your positive response 🙏🙏. I also tried reaching you on Facebook also. I will appreciate if I can apply both ways either direct or agency hopefully charges 🤔🤔are not so much. Thanks once again🙏🙏
No, you'll need a care or social work offer to get this tier 2 visa cos your employer would have to send to you a Certificate of sponsorship (COS) as part of your visa documentation
Yes, an MLS who has not gotten HCPC licence yet might want to consider this route and swap while in the UK when he or she gets registered (and gets a Biomedical Science job)
For the UK specifically you can get a job from your country and apply for a skilled worker visa on GOV.UK ... The job you get is dependent on your profession. Furthermore, some people relocate by gaining admission to a UK school and obtaining a job after their studies. Hope this helps.
