#AlabamaShakes was an American #rock band formed in Athens, Alabama, in 2009. The band maintained a consistent lineup of lead singer and guitarist #BrittanyHoward, guitarist Heath Fogg, bassist Zac Cockrell, and drummer Steve Johnson. The group rose to prominence in the early 2010s and has sold over 1.5 million albums in the US.
The band began its career touring and performing at bars and clubs around the Southeast for two years while honing its sound and writing music. They recorded their debut album Boys & Girls with producer Andrija Tokic in Nashville while still unsigned. Online acclaim led ATO Records to sign the band, which released Boys & Girls in 2012 to critical success. The album's hit single "Hold On" was nominated for three Grammy Awards. After a long touring cycle, the band recorded its second record Sound & Color, which was released in 2015, debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, and won four Grammy Awards.

No matter how many times I watch this I never get tired of it.It is one of the best concerts I've ever seen and I have seen a lot, I'm 70 years old and Brittany Howard Is probably my favorite singer in years. I love this band and I live in Alabama so I'm especially proud of them. Roll Tide and rock on.
Its awesome that you're still jamming to new music. Alabama Shakes is one of the bands I give to people who say "music today is terrible" and claim to have tuned out of music after the 80s.

Brittany Howard is amazing. Some have compared her to Janis Joplin though her influences are said to be Bon Scott and Nina Simone. The band does well to compliment her voice. She is pretty good with that Gibson / Les Paul also. Like I have the experience to critique someones musical ability that I lack. I just love listening to her.
actually its a gibson sg, not a les paul. as far as im concerned it could be a turd on a stick and brittany and the band would still be one of my favorites not just recently but all time. rock on, keep pulling it out of your souls and playing it for us

The whole band sounds like a schoolband. Except of the vocals (which are very impressive) I don't get why they play in front of such a crowd....no hate, just wondering whats the point of the band...
Fabian Purucker Making music doesn't have to be individually impressive to be beautiful and touching. Your remark is pretty stupid. These musicians play in function of the music, you should try it sometimes.

Yea right, because all of the bands that made the sound that was the sound of the mid 60's-70's were just a bunch of talent-less hacks that sounded like a bunch of Jr High School Garagebands! Right mr. Fabio? You don't have a clue as to "what the Phuruck" you're talking about.. This is a professional sound right here Fabio.. Do you hear that sound? The crystal clear sound of no Heavy Distortion and very little Overdrive, that's used to mask the fact that in realty you sound like shit and can't play a fuckin' lick if you had to play a Triangle without a rack full of canned effects.. I'd be willing to bet that if you don't have a rack full of effects, you've got at least one or two electronic multi-effects banks.. This is what you call a "Pure & Clean, Unadulterated Classic Sound." And to ice the fucking cake, this shit's a recording of an "Outdoor Live" performance man! Show me a "Schoolband" as you say, that has a sound like this and I'll show you a "Schoolband" that should have a fucking record deal, if they don't already... I concur with Kris Kisbulk " Get a life you Justin Bieber wankin' twat-waffle"... No, I didn't quote directly, I paraphrased, but I can do that, I'm not under-educated.. ;)
