Yakuza 3 was literally the only one I couldn’t finish. All the rest I’ve had a blast with.
@@sayhello2heaven_ yeah, it was definitely more difficult than the others to get adjusted with, but i was more forgiving since it was their 1st take on the new gen and the improved space for all the extra content that the PS2 couldnt handle.
@@sayhello2heaven_ I played the beginning part in Okinawa for an entire day just chilling with them kids and then rushed through the rest of the game within literally 1 afternoon. The main story can be finished really damn quick
@@sayhello2heaven_ I would have been equally satisfied playing that Kiryu: Orphan Dad Simulator for the whole game. Seeing Kiryu just living his best life is so entertaining on its own, I didn't need much else honestly. Yakuza 4's story is trash though.

Ishin was probably made by a different team to start to ground work on unreal engine games onward.
Remaking Ishin was a golden opportunity. RGG themselves said DE was kind of old already.
I can't seriously tell the difference but if that makes their works more easy so be it.

@@Dead_Hitori Yeah, me too. But they are probably getting behind in terms of what they can do with the DE.
Best case scenario they make DE 2, like Bethesda and their Creation Engine or Rockstar with RAGE, just an evolution of their old engine to open more possibilites hardware and technical wise. And it's propietary so they can do whatever they want without paying licences or fees.
Hope they do that. These lastest AAA games made on Unreal Engine 4/5 hasn't been the most optimized, regardless of the system and company.
@@Dead_Hitori What are you talking about? There's a reason nearly everyone is using UE and migrating to UE5. Its the premiere engine right now.
I don't think the DE engine really show off its capabilities until the PS5 since it runs like absolute crap on the base PS4, but there's no doubt that UE5 would be a superior option to migrate the LaD to.
@@Bateluer unreal engine just feels clunky as shit, the stutters, by god the stutters. We need another FOX engine, something that combines beauty and optimization, because UE ain’t it!

But imagine... The entire game is replayable with 4 characters, each with own style. And of course, the story doesn't change but levels are still designed around these characters. That would be so cool...

The fighter pack is probably going to add them as bosses in the new coliseum like arena, but I want to believe that the fighter pack will let you play as them

RGG is getting to greedy man. I don't like their directions. 50 euros (For me) for a game that is the size of Kaito Files (10-12). A dlc where you fight three popular characters that is gonna reuse their same movesets? What the hell.
Yakuza games used to compromise their numbers. LAD 7 was expensive but it was like three games in one. LJ was mostly a asset reuse but it compromised with its combat and minigames.
As long as it isn't turnbased I know it's going to be good
They aren't going back on turn-based combat for the main series, right? I can only hope they do it better in LAD 8 so it's more enjoyable
@@danielgonzalezjimenez5677 8 is going to be turned based like 7 is and most likely ichiban's games will keep being rpgs but other new entries in the series will keep being beat em ups
7 is quite literally the best written game in the series other than 0. I get that many yakuza fans don't like change, but saying an entire game isn't going to be good because of the combat system is pretty underhanded.
@@solace2679 The story is fine, i wouldn't say it comes close to 0 or 5, but when the game is 85% combat and the combat puts your brain to sleep then yeah id say it can certainly bring down how good a game is.
@@iribell If you genuinely think that 5 is well-written and in the same ballpark as 0, then that's your opinion ig. But calling 7's combat boring simply isn't true. I've been with this series for a long time now, and playing the same repeated combat system for 7+ games has been incredibly archaic and very weary. But then again, this was over the course of a very long time, and I still enjoy the classic beat 'em up style. But 7's combat and story were a breath of fresh air for me-something new, something to improve upon, and most importantly, variety. But that's just my take on it.
