It used to be. Its a gimmick because its not even close to real life. Its a pain. Drivers mocked it during lockdown when they were playing the f1 games because they dont change modes like that
@@deklancrowe2730 lower pressure means higher Temps due to physical laws. If you have lower pressure in the tyres, the air has to much space to expand. The tyre is Not completly filled and need to work more to keep the car where it should be. And you have a lot more contact with the track, which is causing even more temp.Thats raising the temp. Its hard for me to explain in English, but from am physics pov its right. If you want a better explanaition you should google it✌️
This was actually an interesting video. More videos like this, maybe even about little detail things which would help in league races for example would be interesting to watch
jarno loving the vids and the series, im new around here and this is my first f1 game. Are you able to give an explanation on the differential % and brake bias %. What raising and lowering them do and when to use the different settings. Thanks
For the race, will engine braking cause wear on the engine, meaning it will make more sense to have low engine braking for career mode? I assume for Sim Racing you'll all put it to the max, but for career will it be better to lower it?
If you have a good set up. I tend to turn it to none during curves and overtake on straights depending on how far away or behind I am from the car in front of me.
At least codies actually put work into the new ers, when the trailer originally came out I thought all they did was unlock the ers modes, but cool to see the differences between hotlap and medium especially
So mguk is energy under braking capped at 2MJ per lap, MGUH is coverting hot air back into energy which is uncapped but their is a maximum deployment i think of 4-7MJ per lap which is what is shown by that green bar
hello jarno thanks for your video I have a question about your last career video in Miami. You lowered the tire pressure to prevent your tires from overheating so much In the description of the tire pressure, however, it says that higher tire pressures would mean lower temperatures. Can you explain that? And when will your gloves come onto the market and where can they be bought? Thanks in advance Have a nice evening Greetings Schmalzi
Do you always run 100% engine bracking in the setup, or do you want it to be as low as possible and then balance it out with wing levels so you still achieve max ers gain through the lap with the red bar, or is the engine bracking always at 100%?
Hello, thank you for this kind of video, it's to your credit to share your mastery on these F1 games. It helps me a lot to progress even if I stay away from you:)
I think in the race scenarios i only use medium and overtake when im pushing and when i need to save i put it on none a little before the end of the straight and then back on medium before the exit. I only use hotlap during qualifying
Do you think on tracks like spa if you use none at all for most of the lap and drain it on the back straight will the times even up as oppose to balancing it between medium and hotlap?
Thanks for the video, I hope it helps me get to grips with this game. ERS this year just feels broken. Other cars just fly past me even with ers on overtake and drs open. There's no point using anything other than hotlap and overtake. And how in the world am I recharging while on hotlap settings. I'm doing like 30% recharge in two corners...
I can't play this game, i do not have ps5 or xbox or anything that can even run this game, i will not buy this game, but i will still watch this video cuz i just want to understand what's jarno doing in those eSports events.
I don’t know if I missed it.. but what about the race? Surely you use the overtake button.. but on what mode do I have to use ers? None Medium or hot lap?
@Jarno Opmeer what is te downside of not using 100% engine brake, or actually, what is the benefit of not using... does it make you use more brakes to slow down the car? does it give more speed on the straight lines??? i dont get it, what is the relation between not 100% engine brake and lap (time wise). tks, love your content
Thank you Jarno for the tutorial, but i have a question. How do you stay competitive against the ai, because no matter what the performance is, I'm always getting left behind and having to use all of my ers and i barely keep up with them
does the car use ers in time trial even tho you cant deploy it there, just curious because i did a time trial lap 2 seconds better than the one you did without ers and im 100x worse than you even while you are not concentrating
This will probably be a great video… once I figure out how to actually, physically, mechanically deploy the ers. Can anyone help? I’ve tried all the modes, with toggle and hold, but when I press my overtake button, nothing happens. I haven’t managed to deplete the battery at all. I even reassigned the button just in case, but no. At this point era strategy is pointless because I can’t even activate it. Someone, help… please.
Does medium and hotlap ersnha e a different and how big it is ? Btw saw a vid of tiemetmarduk of his last driver carrer vid and liwerd the tire pressures as low as possible and gained so much time why is that ? Thnx for your time
this is the type of shit i hate in the new F1s and why im never gonna be a full fan or like really go into f1 racing. it's more of a tactical game than a racing one at that point. like when to use how to use an electrical battery that's literally just nitrous in nfs games.. just weird and unintuitive. already got a billion things on my mind like not spinning the car on every exit

Jarno happily talking about the extra 160 horsepower
it’s on 160 likes rn keep it that way
This is cool honestly I always wondered why this wasn't in the game yet, it adds a lot of diversity in strategy
It used to be. Its a gimmick because its not even close to real life. Its a pain. Drivers mocked it during lockdown when they were playing the f1 games because they dont change modes like that
my brain understood "f1 24" as "f1 2004" lol
Mr. Opmeer, just thanks for uploading. I don't particularly enjoy F1 24 but your content makes it significantly better!
You can also draft behind someone, lift just slightly off the throttle and it will recharge the battery pretty quickly while they pull you along.
Are you lifting to 0 throttle or lifting to like 50٪ throttle?
@@ZKN99 nope, just lifting a little seems to disengage the ers and lets it start charging..
Thank you. First timer to the gm. This vid just helped me use ERS now after a few weeks of having gm! Perfect tutorial explaining. Easy to follow u.
Another simply lovely video from Jarno
make a tutorial of low and high pressure tires, so everybody understands it
nooo, that would be a cursed video lol
Basically Lower pressures = higher tyre temps and wear
Higher pressures = Lower tyre temps and wear
Im sure lower tyre pressure is less temps but less straight line speed?

Any chance we could get a video explaining your thought process behind creating setups on this game?

I really enjoyed the video I found it very informative Thank you Jarno Pogmeer 👌🏻
Max Verstappen approves this video
If Max stops using ers maybe Lewis could overtake 😂
@@ringofart lewis has won 2 races since maxs last win
also yh max is good but now his car isint the best so now he hasnt won in 8races
Ok, i am just so last year on quali. Many thanks for this, there is no way my brain would have found this without a video as blunt as this.
Shaved my speed down as well! Great video bro again
If you have a good set up. I tend to turn it to none during curves and overtake on straights depending on how far away or behind I am from the car in front of me.
Thank you!! You could also do a video about how to heat the tires the best, Also how too cool them down. Basically a tire guide.
thanks jarno, love your videos :) is it just me or is it extremly difficoult to warm up the tires in f1 24? any tipps?
Also looking forward to your next race win really can’t see enough of those

Jarno: good news, now you can have 160hp with 4 different modes

It was an excellent explanation, thank you very much for helping me a lot ❤

Do you always run 100% engine bracking in the setup, or do you want it to be as low as possible and then balance it out with wing levels so you still achieve max ers gain through the lap with the red bar, or is the engine bracking always at 100%?
I think balance it out cus it also effects oversteer during braking. I like 30% at a lot of track
Thanks for the video our Goat

just in time for my league race tonight
How are you handing Austria. Are there situations where it is beneficial.to cycle between overtake and medium rather than using hot lap at all?
I play cockpit view and turned off steering wheel turning now I really enjoy the game
What impact engine braking has on the behaviour of the car?
What about during the race? Overtake out of exits is still a valid strategy and then maybe medium in the corners? Or is there a more optimal way?
I don’t know if I missed it.. but what about the race? Surely you use the overtake button.. but on what mode do I have to use ers? None Medium or hot lap?
What I’m still confused by is why you need to fill the red bar. What does the red bar actually do?
@Jarno Opmeer what is te downside of not using 100% engine brake, or actually, what is the benefit of not using... does it make you use more brakes to slow down the car? does it give more speed on the straight lines??? i dont get it, what is the relation between not 100% engine brake and lap (time wise). tks, love your content
