There are research papers from Harvard and other top medical schools proving that blue light is not harmful to us and these glasses dont do anything to help us. Hey jarno great video it’s just that there’s probably others out their like me and I play on a steering wheel and pedals and it’s just so hard for me to drive without using traction control like I don’t use brake assist as I know it just slows me down and I don’t need it but for things like anti lock brakes, traction control or manual gearbox I just can’t drive even a single corner without spinning out and yes I’ve tried using them separate it’s just so frustrating how I can’t even drive a corner without assists
@@Clocethe easiest of these is probably the manual gearbox. You can use the suggested gear for the corners for a while and after a bit you will get a feel for the type of corner and gear that belongs to it.
My sugestion: I think you should start by turning off the automatic gearbox. If you stay using traction control and the anti-lock, it will not take long for you to get faster. That was my experience at least, back then in F1 2017. Then, when you master the manual gearbox you can start trying to practice without the traction control. It surely will be VERY DIFFICULT to get used to. It took three entire years on three different games for me to master the traction control off, but the manual gearbox was very easy and took me like five days or so to become faster in every track. And about the Anti-lock, I also STILL DON'T KNOW how to turn it off and still go fast whitout locking up😂. I didn't care about that because on the previous games It was not a massive "must-to-master" skill, so I can not help anyone on that
For those who want a quick summary of the video: Brake Assist - Low: 2.3 seconds slower Brake Assist - Medium: 3.2 seconds slower Brake Assist - High: 5.3 seconds slower Steering Assist: 5.7 seconds slower Anti-Lock Breaking Assist (ABS): 0.5 seconds slower Traction Control - Medium: 0.37 seconds slower Traction Control - Full: 0.15 seconds slower Automatic Gearbox: 0.35 seconds slower ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- For those who want a guide on what assists to turn off: ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- So, if you're starting fresh best path to start turning off assists would be: (Note: this is from the perspective of a Steering Wheel user, I don't have experience with Keyboard / Controller.) Steering Assist - Instantly, just don't use it. Brake Assist - Instantly, just don't use it. Automatic Gearbox: A great assist for your "first one" to turn off, the change in pace is quite significant (0.35s) but it also affects your control of the car so much less than ABS and TC so the change from Automatic to Manual won't be as cruel as the others persay. Practice a little in Time Control, you'll easily come to notice when you need to upshift. Downshifting is honestly just a bit of trial and error in figuring out what the best gear is for that corner. But I have seen some beautiful videos on using your surroundings to identify what gear you need to be in for a corner. Anti-Lock Breaking Assist (ABS): Once you're here you most likely have some experience playing the game and being comfortable shifting gears. This would be your next one to turn off, it will take practice trying to push on the break FULL and then slowly easing off the break but you will get there. Turning this off is the biggest time saver of the ones you don't instantly just turn off. There are tons of videos and guides on learning to turn off ABS and I highly recommend watching one and practicing it in Time Trial. And finally, Traction Control (TC): As highlighted in the video, the time difference with TC is the least significant (full TC specifically (0.15s)) and so you can keep this on whilst you learn the other assists. Once you've mastered driving without the other assists then I would recommend turning TC off to achieve that feeling of mastery and understanding of the car. Once again there are tons of videos and guides on learning to turn off TC and I highly recommend watching on and practicing it in Time Trial. Hope this helps. :)
Also for those wondering, the reasons behind instantly turning off steering assist and braking assist it's simply because having them on is training you to get used to a bad habit/bad assist, driving with either of these assists on only worsens your driving in the long run, so it's much better to turn them both off on the get-go and learn to go without them.
Finally you have got glasses to protect your eyes... I saw you in the past with really exhausted eyes, that's not good, i have the same problem. Glad you fixed that 👍
I'm driving with TC and ABS off and automatic gearbox on, you _can_ manually shortshift to avoid s🅱in which I'm finding myself having to do, but will probably take your advice and switch TC on and gearbox to manual and see how that goes. It's hard for me to pay attention to that many gear shifts though :')

(competing like 95 ai difficulty) Also i dont understand why codemaster make gear down/up buttons to L1 and R1 like autentic steering wheel. You guys switch to these if you using controller aswell. 4 fingers at the back; you can throttle/brake and switch gears.
You know a single windows setting can achieve the same effect as those glasses right? (its called Night Light). If you have a good monitor it can do that too probably.
The last one I played a lot was the F1 20 (I didn't buy the others), but for me, it was more challenging to use a manual gearbox than setting TC off. I wonder why. Does anyone have the same issue? OBS: I use wheels and pedals.
I play on controller and have always used medium tc bc I can’t be smooth enough on the trigger to turn it off. Should I switch to full tc since it’s faster this year?
@@ethan-by5xo My best advice would be to play around with your setup.
