- All of Crysis 3 cutscenes. One clip has an audio issue. It happened in game for that entire level on both times I went through. So... Sorry! I really enjoyed this game where I didn't really care for the others. Enjoy!

He died at the end,when you killed all the aliens,his mind was completely erased and Prohpet's mind was "saved" inside the suit and suit replaced alcatraz's mind with prophet's. At the end of Crysis 2 he says "They call me prohpet"

I love the reaction of the woman when they brought him in the rebel base.

Alcatraz's personality was 40% data corrupted, so that meant the Nanosuit had to like, store Alcatraz's personality away. And because the Nanosuit "saved" Prophet's personality in itself, Prophet's personality took over the Nanosuit. That's why Alcatraz was the protagonist in Crysis 2 and Prophet in Crysis 3.
They have to make a crysis 4!
at the ending, they say 'the war is over'.....that's mean they are not going to make Crysis 4
matthew gau Games didnt selled well,C3 sales are about 700k copies on 3 platforms so thats pretty bad. And indeed but story of these games is bullshit. In Crysis 2 ending Prophet says its just the beggining while showing map of whole world where aliens have their hives but in 3 its just...forgotten and we still are in NY and he destroys aliens hive/alpha Ceph in NY so every hive is destroyed by destroying just one? Where's sense in that,i know there was comic in which Prophet travels with team across the world and finds Alpha Ceph in Siberia then gets captured by CELL to NY and then story of 3 starts but..why they showed map of world where Prophet says cephs have hives on every place on this planet and he says its just the beggining? lmfao...my guess is they wanted to make alot more Crysis games but when the sequel didnt selled well they just released a fucking comic book and leaved some stories opened and unexplained.
They are making another one. Crytek confirmed it
theXBOXandPC Gamer They are "will" make one but it will not be called Crysis. The story is over.. they wanted trilogy. Now they will focus on other story... and also dont forget.. Crytek is not going well with the economics.. If Crytek will not Bankrupt then we will have "Crysis 4"

Love the fact that he lands in the excact same location at Lingshan as Nomad did in the first game, and wakes up at the first KPA base you took out. :)
Seeing that view whenever it pans out and he says "Remember me." it brings back Soooo many memories. I played the hell out of the first Crysis.
With games like this coming out, I think Call of Duty's reign is just about over.

- Herp derp EVERY map has all the predictable run lines which others camp and spam with n00b tubes/grenades in EVERY CoD EVER.

Crysis is brilliant 👏🏻 and all three of the titles were good. The only two things I'm disappointed about was the story in the third but that's only because it didn't feel like a proper progression from the second game. Its not that the story wasn't good, it just went a direction I wasn't expecting. I really, really wanted to see USMC in nanosuits like the multilayer in Crysis 2, those USMC nanosuits were 🔥🔥🔥 and I was half expecting a bigger battle between marines in their nanosuits and a bigger Ceph invasion that had been brought on due to CELL messing around with Ceph tech and luring the Ceph to earth.
Fighting alongside the marines in Crysis 2 felt a bit more personal as I used to try my best even on Supersoldier difficultly to keep them all alive by the end of each level.
Instead in Crysis 3 we fight in NYC again which has somehow become an overrun forest/jungle type in the space of 20+ years of it being abandoned.
I still can't express how gutted I am about not getting to play alongside USMC again, especially USMC in their nanosuits. They didn't even have to equip every marine in one, maybe just the Force Recon guys due to limitations on materials etc.
Rant over lol, I still really enjoyed all three games. All were ahead of their time and still look good today.
These cutscenes are literally the most beautiful thing to watch.
When I played the bit where he gets into the hive mind the first time my heart just DROPPED when he said "I am the alpha-ceph"
It sounds almost like Sovereign but less mechanical/robotic sort of stuff.

But these are the awesome themes. They even spoke bout those themes in some interviews. One of Crysis 3's main themes actually is "Am I the suit, or another man's body with a suit?". Prophet has an identity crysis. I think of it like this: It's not Prophet. It's a body and a suit that need each other, and the suit brought Prophet's conscious out of storage to power it. It's not exactly him... it's more like a machine thinking to be that person. It's very philosophical when you think about it.

"Prophet" is essentially the A.I instead of the real prophet who killed himself when he became infected. Alcatraz can be considered dead, but he can also be considered dormant. In the comics it was stated that Alcatraz could've taken his body back if he really wanted to. Wouldnt do much good being a being that is trapped in a suit and being conscious about it for eternity. I would choose to be stored somewhere else too. Prophet: dead. Alcatraz: dead/dormant. Nanosuit A.I lifeform: alive in the guise of prophet. Prophet's mental template being the nanosuit's preferred and active personality. Essentially the suit is the spirit and will of prophet. All that being said: that is the character we play as. We play as the suit harbouring a corpse with the mental clone of another dead guy.

For some reason, my Crysis 3 cutscenes would always stutter on the audio. So this is the only way I can watch them :)

No. He wanted to disconnect from suit,that's why he shot himself in head (In crysis 2 at start). He was dying and he needed someone who would finish what he started. He didn't knew this was going to happen...at least i think.
Man that nanosuit in the end is epic. It does give you wierd eyes and and the other suits looked bigger but still pretty good.

I think that with Prophet being in the suit for so long, and removing the blockers on his dopamine receptors, the nanites may have fused with him, allowing him to "use" the suit without having it on.
i like how psycho still had nomad, jester, and aztecs dog tags
gotta say this crysis did a lot more emotionwise than most games nowadays, especially when you find out who skinned psycho( no spoilers)

The reason why he looks human in the end is because the suit took the form of Prophet. If you listen to the cutscenes, it says thatt once the nanites are set free, they can take any form imaginable. So at the end, it's still just the suit, but just in a different form.
It's more like Prophet has unlocked the full potential of the nanosuit. Prophet (now merged with nanosuit) can manipulate the suit in molecular levels, like the liquid terminator.

I think the intro has more meaning then u think. Because when he says we stopped them I stopped them I think he is talking about everyone who wore that nano suit and then when the “The nano suit/all the wearers”

ill explain to all you cunfes people, PROPHET, is the suit, which is a cocktail of nanotech, barnes' mind/conscience, and currently Alcatraz's body, BARNES was lost once he put on the nanosuit, what was left was prophet. NOTE: Nomad and Helena are dead
the since the suits nanites were disabled, the suit could take any form it wanted to (within reason), so prophet took the form of laurence barnes, remember the difference between Prophet, and Laurence and Alcatraz
The suit is symbiotic, and wearing it a long time will fuse the suit to the wearer. Because of this, Prophet's DNA, and memories were preserved inside of the suit when he gave it to Alcatraz. Eventually, these memories were passed onto him, which caused Alcatraz to be assimilated into the suit, fusing with the DNA of Prophet. I think
after the blast at the end of the second game he suffered huge brain damaged, so Alcatraz is either dormant or completely brain dead

Probably his injuries. Throughout Crysis 2 you are told that you're badly injured: damage to heart and lungs, broken ribs and heavy bleeding are a few to name. He's a "dead man walking". The collapse of the Ceph at the end of Crysis 2 killed him and Prophet took over the suit. He probably "repaired" the body, as the suit grew into the wounds.
Well, Alcatraz was dead. Almost. And the costume regenerated Al's body, integrating its nano-stuff so that Alc could live. And... Prophet was suit's owner... So the suit had some sort of body-schematic in its memory and re-built Al's body, slowly, according to it. Smth like that.
I played Crysis,Crysis Warhead,Crysis 2 and Crysis 3
and I can say that I enjoyed every moment nanosuit said MAXIMUM POWER,SPEED,STRENGHT,or CLOAK ENGAGED
every awesome music in cut scenes every moment I understood more from the story
Crysis is for me the number one game in this world
and I sacrificed spending time to understand the truth about the suit and the CEPH

The suit basically ate Alcatraz...Prophet's consciousness was stored in the suit, and throughout Crysis 2 Prophet's memories keep flashing back as the suit rebuilds him. Alcatraz was just a placeholder. Just a body for the suit to function off of, while the suit was actually working to restore prophet. By the end of Crysis 2, Prophet's mind has been restored, and Alcatraz has been overtaken.
I truly believe that it was Nomad that was the body on that table. Theirs no way it couldnt be.
Got to have been one of the best and saddest games this year. So deep!

Thank God someone could explain it, I was confused as hell.
What you see at the end is actually the suit, just taken another from just as clarie said earlier in the game. The suit just look like prophet's skin head, or have you ever seen anyone with beta-flat skinfrom? ;) Or skin that can stealth?
That was one of the reasons why I liked him. I kinda liked the idea of him not being able to speak so the game could do the Half-Life way of immersing you. :D
I just liked Alcatraz. I don't know why. The whole story of having him in the suit - not really knowing what he's doing, and then there's the suit which stored a copy of Prophet's conscious. But there's still Alcatraz' conscious. Instead of focusing on that great theme (who's in control?) alongside the man/suit theme, they killed him off.
Alcatraz's body was taken over by Laurence(prophet)'s mind, as the suit is synthetic. So its a Barnes/Alcatraz/cyborg thing in the suit.

I think the Nanosuit actually stored Prophet's memory before he killed himself at the beginning of Crysis 2. At the very end of Crysis 2 Alcatraz comes out and calls himself Prophet because his memory was replaced with Prophet's.
I think, he didn't know it exactly, because in a cutscene from Crysis 2 Laurence said: "Did you think 'm dead? So thought I." (or somewhat like this, I haven't played the English version)
The Prophet's consciousness was absorbed into the suit (Look at Crysis 2.) When he put the suit on Alcatraz, Alcatraz was already dead, and the suit emplaced Prophet's consciousness inside his corpse, so right now, Prophet is walking around in another man's shoes, literally.
Yes, the prophet from Crysis 2 did die, and Alcatraz did put it on, but alcatraz somehow got his memory erased and now is the "Prophet" so thats why Prophet is still alive
Someone needs to replay the games. Alcatraz is the meat inside the suit but the suit is Prophet. I really dunno how so many people missed this.
He sacrificed himself in 2. Prophet was looking for someone similar dna and such. In short he was probably related to prophet and the suit accepted him easily.
The suit is symbiotic...that made it possible so that Phrophet's mind is in Alcatraz's body. Alcatraz's body voice is damaged, so Prophet's voice is used automatically from the suit. Alcatraz's body, Prophet's mind.

Crysis story is like... when you first play it everything's confusing.
But if you really like the series, and think slowly twice...
It all makes perfect sense.
Alcatraz's body is still in the suit, but somehow prophet's mind and the suit have linked, so prophet has control over alcatraz's body. At the end, the suit manipulated its way into a "skin" of prophet
If you were into crysis since when it came out. You guys should know that That's the Same island from the first game. Where everything started.

There are, as Crysis 2 Ended, at 2025, Alcatraz was assimilated to False-Prophet a program Prophet made to store all his memories.
Prophet as he said multiple times was a corpse walking and needed to make a final upgrade.
Prophet died but as he died, the suit absorbed his memory and his personality and moved onto Alcatraz and as the game progressed the more of Prophet's memories and personality was moved into Alcatraz's brain.
At the end, Alcatraz died within the suit and Prophet was reborn.
Alcatraz is basically the corpse that makes up the suit, The suit assimilated prophets very being and therefore turned alcatraz into prophet
Haven't got the game yet but one question, is the game linear like 2 or more like 1? I loved 1.
