I replaced the two plastic pins on the left hand side of my radio box with a screw and a nyloc nut flipped upside down so it seats itself in the hole in the chassis rail. No more radio box two step when you steer or slam on the brakes.
I’m looking at getting some new wheels and tires for my redcat dunerunner. I believe the hex is 22mm and I’ve seen a nice set of wheels that are 23mm and 24mm. Do they make hub spacers or should I swap hubs? If I swap hubs, Is the center rod it sits on a different size as well? Could you offer your opinion on advice?
Hey man the dune runner is a totally different rc car. i'd jump on the fb groups and ask there. more people who know the platform will give you good info.
@@kpopRC thank you for the reply! I shall try to find some forums on them. Your budget extra parts build has been inspiring me to get my dunerunner fixed!
Always tuned first high revs, then low revs look at the pick-up from the bottom. And then to the idle needle. This is a two-stroke engine it should shoot at high revs and you only have it mooing and that's it.
I Think i have a old baja 10 -15 years old clutch bell bracket missing so quess it broke on previous owner new electrics n service n it should be good to go only combustion rc i own love from Australian mate
it has a little oil hole where the piston ring split sits. the ports on the piston on the exhaust side open up where this little slit is, so that the ring doesnt catch on the sleeve. i think that's why.
It puts the piston ring gap in the wrong place and it can hang up on a port. That can potentially ruin the whole top end, and in some cases even get metal shavings in your bottom end bearings. Another note, the c-clips on the wrist pin should have the gap straight up or straight down to prevent them from coming out while running.
I loved my Baja but everytime I took it out is broke something and it just got too expensive so I had to give it up. Actually a shop dedicated to ⅕ scale and bajas here in sa
Every rc guy ever:

first tank. we're flooding it.
That thing was epic, so much damage because of 1 c-clip.
Sick 👌
try to save some hpi baja parts for me to buy in canada = great video guys
Luckily there are a ton of parts in china! Hopefully you don't mind rovan or kingmotors.

Thoughts on switching motor out for a chainsaw motor or something i can make fit 🤔
oh. i'd just get a clutch carrier. my guess is the stock plastic one melted. not a pricey fix.
What happens if the arrow on the piston faces the wrong way?

Nice
Ugh. I hate it when that happens
Thats what she said 🤣🤣🤣
The carburetor is terribly tuned. Low idle, no pick-up from the bottom, she just mooses and doesn't drive. You can't hear the top in general.
Yeah, it doesn't sound right....
