Katsumoto: The perfect blossom is a rare thing. You could spend your life looking for one, and it would not be a wasted life. [With his dying breath] Perfect... They are all... perfect...
"I have dreamed of a unified Japan. Of a country strong and independent and modern. Now we have railroads and cannon, Western clothing. But we cannot forget who we are, or where we come from."
brothers, I think this wonderful movie does not speak at all of Japan's history but of the noble values of bushido. rectitude, courage, benevolence, kindness, veriticità, loyalty, honor. bushi-do ... the way of the warrior, recognize life in every breath
Une perfection, un bien etre que chacun recherche dans son existance c est ce que ce film nous fait ressentir.Un Tom Cruise exeptionnel et immortel comme les heros de ce spectacle magifique que l on ne peut oublier.
You got some truly awesome music on this channel, mate! This for instance is BEAUTIFUL! Big thanks for all your efforts in uploading this and sharing some EXCELLENT music with other people! Have a nice day everybody.
Someone like Fasbender or Crowe should have played the main character. Cruise is a big box office draw and although he did a decent job in this role, he did not come up with the gravitas a seasoned civil war veteran would show, nor was he old enough. The best character was Ken Watanabe, a great actor. The sound track is fabulous, and I never grow tired of it.
How ? Each and every aspect of a movie can be so magnificent, so Incredible. How can every scene is screaming yet remaining so still. I always had a desire to be a part of this masterpiece from my young age but now during my fourtys I have realised that this movie had always been a part of me from the first time when I saw it.
I am very proud of myself because I am one of the greatest one in this world who is capable to understand the depth of this ocean like high mountain masterpiece.
tthe way of the warrior of the old past.een herrinering toen we nog geen vuurwapens hadden. sindsdien is de wereld kapot gegaan, tradities uitgestorven zijn. was ik maar ggeboren in deze tijd....
One of its great fallacies is the samurai army didn’t use guns . On the contrary they had plenty of them. The imperial army was just more numerous and western trained. Saigo Takamori their leader didn’t press the initiative quickly either when he started the Seinan war.
today, what these people have gone through is nothing compared to what us muslims are going through. We need the same love as everyone here are giving this film music. In reality we are being persecuted all over the world unlike this film in just a country. we have morals ethics, love and unity through our religion just the same way the Samurai had.
+myxthereal it was bad tho. I'd say they hollywoodised it way too much i guess. Like in the first battle in the forest. Infantry were terrified to stand against samurai's and they were like as if they saw guns for the first time. But during sengoku era they used lots of fucking guns to slaughter each others. First major gun used battle was led by Oda clan tho. And regardless to mention its not some sort of historic movie. Guy was not american he was French. And then I think this movie just took the idea from Satsuma rebellion which was happened in the end of Boshin war. Led by Saigo Takamori. Funny thing is he was emperor's vanguard during boshin war. And had the biggest role in throwing the shogun's authority. But overall this movie was masterpiece. I even wanted to grab sword and jump into that fight hahaha. Obviously I'd die shot to the death
+Sindshost You need to keep in mind that this is a movie, not documentary. From that aspect, why does it matter if he was French or American? It doesn't. In real life it matters ofcourse, especially since Americans try to present every single good thing that happened in human history as their own achievement. But that's a whole another topic. As for the infantry being scared, well iirc they were not actually professionally trained military but rather some sort of militia, first time using guns against "pro" soldiers - samurai. Also you need to keep in mind what these samurai represent to others (in the movie I mean). If you think about it, it all makes sense. I am an history enthusiast and I like pure facts but that's not what general public wants. General public wants what you call "hollywoodised" movie. Thats with every movie we watch that is set in certain time period or event. It just needs to be more understandable to the audience who doesn't care about history. That's what I think at least.
Although the movie was fantastic, I still think it would've made more sense if Tom Cruises character helped or trained with the "last samurai" rather than a white American becoming the last of a kind.
Sorry but i have to disagree. I fucking love this movie. Tom Cruise gives one of his best performances and i love the whole political side to the film that so many samurai films miss. Plus the acting from the Japanese cast is stellar. The music, the acting, the cinematography, the story is all brilliant in this film. I think Tom Cruise gets far too much hate simply for being Tom Cruise. Just look at his filmography, he's been in so many great films and for me this is his best.
Hell yes. The action in the film is handled beautifuly. Especially when you meet the samurai for the first time in the forest. Oh and like AcceleratorUlz said, the music is not 'decent' it's fucking magnficent, and is one of Hans Zimmer's best scores. Personally I really love Tom Cruise. He's a great actor and really only gets the hate due to his belief in Scientology. Honestly I couldn't care less about his personal beliefs, the guy is a good actor, and is one of the most dedicated actors working today. Seriously the guy is 50 and he recently hung on to the side of a fucking plane mid flight, all for the new Mission Impossible film.

Hattori Hanzo was very powerful...😎
Awesome :)
Musica para inspirasiones..!!
A big chunk filmed in New Zealand. The film is a mesh of the Boshin War of 1868-69, and the Seinan War of 1877.
My heart pounds with Love and Love,Love, more and more.
The second track is actually called "Beating in the Rain" I think.
Nonetheless a very good mix.
ممتازة
which reminds me bit of shopping next week

the only movie i watched 3 nights straight with the same love, try to tell me one bad thing on this movie!
yes thats bad, but at the same time it gives power to the film and to the end
+myxthereal it was bad tho. I'd say they hollywoodised it way too much i guess. Like in the first battle in the forest. yeah thats true, there are some mistake, as you said for example the guy was french, but yeah...its a movie more than an historic storie. Nice comment

Although the movie was fantastic, I still think it would've made more sense if Tom Cruises character helped or trained with the "last samurai" rather than a white American becoming the last of a kind.
