I’m really impressed at your tutorial, I’m KURTIS Blow’s first Original DJ and your tutorial really shed light on how to use my MPC 2 Live. You manner in which you went step by step, was better than most of the You tube tutorials. I will definitely continue to watch your tutorials, so you just keep on doing what you’re doing!! Yours Truly The Incredible TJ the DJ. ✌🏽
I had the X when it came out, for about a year. Sold it. Just bought the Live 2 and I totally forgot 97% of what I learned. This will help get me back on track.
Hey thanks for making this video. This is the only video i have found that actually shows what to do to start making music. I bought the MPC Live 2 about a week ago. It's complex but you have made it easier for me to understand. Cheers.
Hey man I purchased this device a while ago and found it intimidating and didn’t use it until I saw your easy to follow instructions , thanks a million for your time to make this … could you make a video on how to update using a usb cable and how to load a purchase from web to card to device
I have had my MPC Live 1 for about a year now and have struggled to understand it based on other tutorials until seeing this video now. Getting me from start to finish in one simple video is what I needed, not an onslaught of information all at once like some other tutorials. You made this so exciting for me and I can't wait to dive into this thing more now that I finally get the basics. Thank you so much for putting the time into delivering such an easy-to-follow lesson! Definitely liking/subbing to your channel!
Coming back to this over a year on. I'm glad I kept my live 2. And I'm glad I'm watching your tutorials after 11 months. Between the Deluge and the Live. Toughchoice
Brandon you did a great job on this tutorial. I recently switched over from an MPC-60, I have been using since 1989, to an MPC X and you solved a couple of major issues I was having with the update. Kudos brother!!
Man your great you take the mystery away from those things for beginners and alike man I needed you 20 years ago you no most our people kept all that secret God bless you I subscribed thank you
Family, you just got a new subscriber frfr 👏🏿 I've been thinking about getting a MPC for about 2 years and I just decided my new year's resolution was to do more things that I'm really interested in, and I'm now looking for the perfect MPC that'll allow me to add samples (Araab, The Runners, Justice League, Alchemist, Heat Makers just to name a few of my influences). This MPC live looks like this is the one I should get. How easily you EXPLAINED (not did, because I know making a legitimate beat that has some sauce isn't easy) your way around the board. I got hyped once you double/triple timed that kick. Something so simple really made that beat come to life.
Thank you for this video. As many have commented, this is the only video I have found that shows you how to work this machine. I hope you keep on making videos for the MPC LIve 2.
thank you soooooo much i just purchased the mpc one I have watched many videos this one I was able to latch on to and follow step by step again thanks a lot
Every time I get comfortable with something on the MPC, I learn a new technique that blows my mind, which takes me a minute to really understand. I like having to think without a mouse
I returned my Mk3 and got me the Live 2. Didn't regret it for a second. This thing is so dope to work with. Thanks for clarifying helpful things for me. 👍🏻💯🙏🏻
This is like the most informative to get you going on UA-cam. Most videos are really badly focused and dark. I just got the One as a birthday gift to myself and just been very underwhelmed along with everyone in my home catching Covid. The whole experience so far is like learning to make beats all over again. At least for this video it helps to get through the path and not off like 5 different shortcuts that will get you lost.
This was GREAT! very clear. I've been struggling with learning the basics of my MPC coming from Reason. Awesome tutorial. From start t finish, I finally got it. I followed along and I actually made my first beat and it was fire. Thank you
Thanks for the video - bought a Live to supplement my OP-1 last week (not a producer, just noodle for fun) Your videos are proving more than valuable - liked and sub'd - London UK ❤❤❤
Hey B, you on point with your instructions maine💯‼️‼️You could open your own MPC school for the youth and people that always wanted to do music like me a DJ tryin to cross ova💕💕💕✨✨⚡️⚡️💯💯‼️‼️
your tutorial was better than akai's tutorial i watched yours and followed it all the way thru i just got the key 61 im comming from maschine so i knew absoultley nothing lol but you helped alot1 i subscribed thanks
I appreciate this content! If you could relate more towards the prior fl studio folks, I'd be forever grateful! Fl got me started with production. Finally mpc makes affordable (for me) hardware. Keep up the great work!
I finally was able to make my first beat watching this! Great video thanks so much/ I subscribed as well. My only question is sir: How do I save??? and export to take this over to logic???
Very helpful thanks mate, well paced too👍🏼 A sampler question if I may please. When editing samples, how does one remove dirty pops and clicks IN BETWEEN the slices. I know how to trim the samples at the start and end but how do I discard unwanted noise in between the end of 1 slice and before the start of another? .....I hope that makes sense. Thanks again. Best of luck with your channel and endeavours 🙏Cheers Richard.
Another way to get this done is to go into the sample, zoom in and select the offensive area, and either "silence" the area, if completely removing it will change the samples timing, or you could "delete" the area, and the area is removed and the remaining ends are joined together. I can do I short vid if this doesn't explain it enough.
Can you show us how to make a song just with the sequence please. I just got my MPC Live 2 and I don't know that much about how to use it but I want to learn and start makeing music . I heard you say that we can make a song or a beat with just the sequence . Can you also not used that red light but use a regular bright white light while makeing the video . Don't get me wrong that red light is beautiful. Also can you please make sure you do a close up of the MPC Live 2 so we can really see what you are doing ? Just show us how to do a simple song and explain what you are doing . I love your videos. Also do I really need an SD card for my MPC Live 2 , what kind of SD card do I buy and where do I buy it from and how to install it but the SD video can be separated from how to make a song video with just sequence . I have been looking at alot of MPC Live 2 UA-cam videos and they are very good but the way they explain it they explain it as a pro like a pro but for me being a beginner it is helpful but it can be very overwhelming . What me and some other beginners want is something simple to learn . Then you can teach us other simple things . I love how you explain things to us. And the videos don't have to be that long . Just make a song . Oh and show us how to record and save our song . Be blessed and safe. Miss . Linda ❤❤❤

@terrydubois3397 it sounds like you still love Hip Hop. Salute.
The MPC Live 2 seems to be the product of countlesss minds coming together to create pure genius.
MPC live has an extremely steep learning curve. Thank you for breaking it down to understand to a human level. Excellent video! Thank you.
Glad i could help! Appreciate you
Still easier than learning on Elektron , IMO
@@michaeltravis3562 both are easy as fuck besides the Octatrack if you know about sampling, synthesis and sequencing which is elementary.

Adjust the attack and Decay
As stated, you can try adjusting the attack. I would also say zoom all the way in and adjust the start/end times because usually that will fix it
Another way to get this done is to go into the sample, zoom in and select the offensive area, and either "silence" the area, if completely removing it will change the samples timing, or you could "delete" the area, and the area is removed and the remaining ends are joined together.
