Is Pokemon MMO 3D Worth Playing in 2024? (Review)

i know ive made a video about a fanmade pokemon MMO before, but this was a totally different experience for me!
normally im not one to hyper focus on numbers, but something was seriously wrong with the scaling in this game that i felt compelled to address it
normally i try my best to get to some sort of end game when i make videos, but as i explained in the video, there are many factors that stop you from getting to that point. so i was not able to go to many of the different areas. but that doesn't change the lack of a gameplay loop and abscence other stuff to do outside of killing trash mobs.
apparently on the day im releasing this, there's supposed to be a ue5 update. but in between the time i exported my video and went to upload it, the release was postponed until tomorrow. so who knows when its actually going to come out.
hopefully this gave you some sort of insight into what kind of game this is. i would go and find a different game to play, i played it and analyzed it so you wouldn't have to.

I love this review because its so real, game is cool af but there is nothing to do besides shiny hunt once you "catch them all" or at least the ones you can until theres a special event island LOL.
I've played this for about 2 months around a special event and there were tons of shinys spawning but it seems its mostly the players that have those insane lvld pokemon that can zoom around killing everything in seconds.
14:52 is almost everybody on the game that plays still, especially that guy named bond(melvin) 🤣
the community is dead, it might aswell be labeled dead while theres only around 20 people or less that actually care about playing.
i agree and dont recommend anyone to waste their time playing this.
I lost my drive to this game when i realised the sad truth about it. It is going nowhere. The game lacks of gameplay yet somehow they find literally anything else to work on. Is it worth playing? I will have to agree with you on that. Donations would have been fine if the equivalent amount of work was being put towards actually developing instead of experimenting with UE and trying to fix minor issues. The main issues why this game is unfinished remain to this day. I ain't saying all that to rant at the devs, but just stating the facts in hope that they get serious about their project as more and more players leave the game. I won't mention the situation with the community.. just that it gets worse everyday..
I love this as a concept, but from what's shown it seems like an early beta that the devs are pedaling as a full release. Just a buggy, unbalanced mess that they're pretending is polished. Also the attitudes of "it's for everyone" and "if you don't like it, leave" just do not work. I really hope the devs decide to overhaul the balancing, progression, and spawn mechanics.

TLDR: Poke MMO is just like any other MMO Needlessly Grindy and empty.
Plenty of MMOs aren't empty and there are some that aren't grindy and plenty that are grindy but in a fun way.
@@Angel___________________ got any reccomendations sofar i havent found ANY good MMO that didnt devolve into a Grind fest or Fetchquest sim.
Hi, Dev here (not the one shown in the video), Despite the negative review I'm impressed with the thoroughness and professionalism and deep dive into the numbers, probably the best iv seen, so all round props to you.
I wanted to clarify something just because you seem enjoy the math side, an error i see is the 1/x
Didnt she say somewhere that they based it off the assumption it was around 1/2 and 1/3. So wouldn't .4 be in between there? And doesn't .4 give the game the most chance? Because 1/9 or 1/8 would mean that shinies are rarer than what she came up with?
Btw I like the game concept it just seems not finished yet.
