Orange is an amazing pick for advanced players--it lets you start your spell engine during the first round, rather than waiting for resolution of round 1. It also makes drafting spells much more aggressive, since anyone can snag one at any time.
Seems like this is the Twilight Imperium of worker placement games, I think it is right up my alley.
That is kind of how we envisioned it too :D
+Jaime Lannister Except that it doesn't really take more than 3 hours even at the full player count and is much much easier to learn.
Randy M, you can do either. By default you randomize, but you may also draft them. :)
Hey Tom, I suggest that in your video reviews for expansions, you tell us if given the option to play with or without the expansion, what would you choose.
He already has that option (hint - the box in his hands:)) and he told that he likes to play with new rooms, the staff, new bells, etc. As it is modular, you can play just with some part of it added. And as he said, he would probably play without the additional stuff while playing with new players.
Do you select rooms at the start of the game or choose randomly?
What are we really looking at for play time per player? And I say play time that includes set up time as well. Also the complete suggested play area?
Because this looks like a Take That style game mixed with Lords of Waterdeep which I haven't had much issue getting to my table. But I like the replay value that this game is showing me. Randomness keeps a good worker placement game re-playable. I just hope the player interaction is as interesting as it looks in this game.
Often I am looking at 3 or 4 players with about a 2.75' x 2.75' table for most days. Good enough for Pathfinder ACG and Seasons, but a bit small for Lords of Xidit and barely enough space for Lords of Waterdeep for two.
We have a few stores nearby but most of them have those MtG white folding tables, so it needs to be tight still.
Geez louise, First he's dropping components on a table and now he's hitting them with a wooden hammer? This man must be stopped.
