I am only a small content creator that has been gaming since the release of GameCube and Nintendo 64, I started on games like Resident evil and Call of duty but have now become a great fan of Survival Crafting game genres and Simulator game. All my content has been recorded and edited by me whilst trying to run a family with 3 children. Hey! I'm glad to see someone making tutorials on how to start. I got to say though as someone who has played the game a fair amount, a lot of your tips are not very effective and can lead to problems later on in the game (I realize this video is 2 years old but still), so I wanted to share more to help people get started.
1.) Find the town with 3 types and settle it - You don't actually have to take that one, I look for ones without 3 because when you grow the population to 100,000 you get to choose out of 3 options your specialty in that town. (Gives you more customization, also sometimes the specialty of the tier 3 town start doesn't match it's natural resources.)
2) Place your first warehouse as close to the city? I wouldn't recommend this as you'll end up with less room for your city to grow. You should try to have the entrance of the two shops your town starts with in the radius of the first warehouse you place while keeping it the furthest distance away from the city so you have more space to build around the warehouse. (By having the shop's entrances inside the radius of the warehouse they will automatically send trucks to fill their orders, saving you transportation costs.)
3) Place your gatherer's first. When it comes to your raw resources like Oil, Gas, Copper etc, I would NOT recommend placing those at the start as there isn't an infinite supply and they will run out. Then you will end up having to import these later in the game when you need them costing you money. (Unless you have infinite resources turned on) (Also please make sure you check your town that they will even purchase your raw resources, otherwise you'll have to ship them to another town in order to sell and probably not make a profit.)
4) Research - It's a good idea to check your town first before selecting your research. Choose 2 of the most profitable options for your town and pay attention to the amount needed to fill the order per month. (Also warehouses once they get busy create pollution so don't place farms too close to it, keep at least 5 tile buffer away)
5) Send only 4 products to your other warehouse? (You can save more money on shipping by clicking the little box in the bottom right of the order that says *Wait till full* (Looks like a crate) This way your trucks will be sending their MAX capacity instead of 1 at a time because they will wait until they're full. Also you can send enough product to the town to fill it's order request, not just 4. example 8 potatoes per 15days which means they sell 16 potatoes per month).
6) Take your time and don't rush. - ABSOLUTELY! It's a marathon, not a sprint, make sure you have money saved before you spend it.
7) Create more product to maximize your profits. - BE CAREFUL, don't create more product then you can sell, a single town will only buy so much. Once you reach that limit you'll have to sell to other towns which will be expensive to ship to or you'll just have a warehouse filled with product that isn't needed.

Thank you for the video very useful, I like this kind of game and am one of those I would like to love, but the game doesn’t help and the profit for beginners and early game for me is the main issue
TE TUTORIALS DOESN’T HELP actually add more confusion in this topic:
The main tutorial spoils you with infinite cash, you build more than one ware house trains and A LOT OF STUFF; so you expect to build a lot when starting playing.
THE POP UP TUTORIAL IN THE CAMPIAIGN doesn’t help either, they rush you as you just started, to research trains, secondary goods and transport goods in trains. In the early game you don’t have money for that, research is very expensive and you must be careful what you need to research.
It seems there is a lot of little details to know, for example why sending 4 trucks no more? I assume trial an error but for beginner those little things would be very hard to notice unless you heard the tip somewhere.
Whatever I do with the trucks, transport always cost a lung .. I have tried many times this game. Never managed to earn money. I gave up.
