Absolutely beautiful
I just adore this song.... thanx for reacting to this album. Barry certainly has still got that beautuful voice and olivias voice (RIP) just fits with this song too ❤❤❤
Barry’s voice will always be soothing and sweet even though it may have changed. Thank you Chad for doing the Greenfields songs. This duet with Olivia Newton John was one of many Barry did throughout his career. Pretty sure you have reactions to most of them. They sang a couple of songs at a Fundraising benefit in Australia Islands in the stream was one. Of course miss Robin, Maurice and Andy. ❤
Awesome, glad you finally got to this. It's really good. I liked all of this album accept for the version of Jive Talkin, it was just too slowed down. This song is great. You should do his duet with Dolly, "Words" from Greenfields next.
Love this song and the whole Greenfields album. I thought he was going to do a "Greenfields II" I hope that is still coming. Great reaction. Thank you for a nice ending to my weekend. Have a great week, Chad.
This song might be my favorite Barry Gibb creation. When it came out in the early 80s, I fell in love with it. Conway Twitty had a big country hit with this one in 1983.
What a beautiful song that impresses us too, after so many years, in its interpretation by older, but equally talented soloists! Thanks, Chad!
Truly miss 0livia NJ...they were the best freind and so kind & lovely voices ❤❤❤❤
So soothing and beautiful… Barry can sing with anyone and just makes them better as they make him shine! Sad that Olivia left us way too soon. But the music will live on… Thank you, Chad! This was beautiful!
This duet song of Barry and Olivia is undoubtedly will stay forever in any generation! ❤️ ♥️ 💕
The song was written by Barry Gibb in 1976. It was the B side of "Too Much Heaven" released in November 1978. Stephen Stills played bass on the demo. The song reached 39 on the country charts in the US, their only appearance in the Country Top 40. It was also recorded by the Osmond's under Mo's direction for their album "Stepping Out" in 1979. Andy Gibb and Olivia Newton John sang the song on the UNICEF show in Jan. 1979. In 1980, Olivia Newton John recorded the song with Andy Gibb for his new album, "After Dark." Country singer Conway Twitty released his version of the song in1981. It stayed at number one for a week and spent a total of 10 weeks within the top 40.
They sang beautiful together here. 😊🌹Greetings to you Chad, from me in Norway. 😊🌷🇳🇴
Musical magic, beautifully blended. Love it. ❤
I like this one Chad. Suits our Barry to a tee, bless his heart, you can feel his sadness of the deep loss of the twins rob n our mo. Like it's dedicated to them n to Andrew too. You can feel the loss. 😢😢 but very beautiful. 💙👍💙👍💙👍💙4 brother s together in music. Always. N barry sounds wonderful.
Thanks so much Chad for your sweet reaction to this precious heartfelt song. Barry's songwriting always touches my heart.❤️ Him and Olivia had such a special friendship for many years. The blending of their voices is just Heavenly. I miss Olivia so much. So glad they did this last song together that we have to enjoy. God bless them both. It's been a wonderful weekend with you Chad. Really do appreciate you. Til next time stay safe and God bless.🙏♥️
Country music is what all 4 would be what they all would be doing now , powerful n serene
Thanks Chad, Beautiful Barry's and Olivas Voices is so Sanft and Smooth amazing Song!!👍💜🎶💜🐝🌹😉. Love Barry's Voice❤🎵Oliva R.I.P.🕊Greenfiels album is so Wonderful.👈🎶
Barry's still got it😊he can sing any style of music he always loved country
I love all three versions of this song! ON-J sounded amazing singing it with Andy when she was much younger and Barry when she was much older. And, Barry sounded amazing singing it with Robin and Mo (I think he sang it with them; I can't remember if someone told me that he sang it by himself or not) when he was much younger and with ON-J when he was much older. I love that he got her to sing it with him on this tribute album as a tribute to when she sang it with Andy! I think that's so sweet and special.
Oh Chad, there is so much I want to say about this, but I'm going to try and hold back. I have loved this song since 1978 (written in 1976, but not released at that time). I actually first heard it done by Johnny Rodriguez that year, and that is my second favorite version (close second). Johnny was fantastic, with a beautiful Tejano voice. But I digress. Barry's rendition is the flip side to "Too Much Heaven," and it is "heavenly" too. When Barry contacted Olivia about "Greenfields" she was reluctant to do it, since she had not recorded in quite a while. I don't know how much arm twisting happened, but how did you say no to Barry on this project, and especially this song. Their chemistry was still great. Her voice was lovely and even a little "husky." It is so poignant that we have this recording since she passed soon after. Thank you Chad. Hmm...there is another song on "Greenfields" that I listen to often...
Wow Beautiful. Her version with Andy was awesome to. Barry and Andy’s voice was almost alike. When Andy Sunday Words it was just Beautiful
Just magical! Barry and Olivia together, made more poignant by her passing a short time later. Such a gentle and romantic song. One to listen to with eyes shut, stirring up memories of times past. Just beautiful Chad. Thanks so much xx
Just beautiful.
Such a beautiful rendition of an evergreen classic....by two all ltime musical legends.....
My favorite tune from the Greenfields album is "Words of a Fool."
@gaylaliles7983 Yes, this has been on my list for a while, and I'm sure Trimmell is sure to remind me as well!

Great picks sweetie, but of course you always please us. 😜💞💞. Have a great week Chad. 🎶🎶
Thank you Chad. That was lovely! ❤
Beautiful 😍
Barry is my musical idol....im true Barrinyan fan.....i miss his younger voice and his beautiful falsetto. He has lost his vibratto and his timber, even his great power to sing but,....even like that for me he is the best ...ALWAYS
Barry's voice never had vibrato, only Robin. Barry used tremulo.
@@Zlata1313Barry most certainly sang falsetto. That's what he's best known for..as well as his other singing voices. People have said his falsetto voice was the very best ever and was the voice of a whole generation. Try listening to Too Much Heaven and Tragedy again as well as so many others.
@@donnalewis5293 sorry meant vibrato. Robin's voice was vibrato, not Barry's. I've been a fan since the late 60s and don't need to listen to those songs again. I still have those albums on vinyl
Like the sound and song
This is indeed a special album. I do like this version, but I feel Andy's version is stronger one. As for Barry and Olivia, I always really loved their song Face to Face. You did a reaction to that song as well. 😀

I actually prefer Olivia and Andy's version better but both are great
