there used to be a direct passenger ferry from penang to langkawi about 4 hours across choppy seas, it got discontinued during covid

I will try in future, the boat for passengers cost the same as the passenger speed boat, 27 ringett, fyi

I think the girl at the counter gave you a wrong option. She should have told you to check the other counters first instead of instructing you to opt for the RoRo ferry. You disembark far from the main town of Langkawi on the RoRo.

Yeah, just buy a ticket from auto express opposed to the terminal everyone goes. Much more relaxed journey my friend 🙂
