The thing that gets me about the Earl Weaver clip, that usually no one notices. That was the Top of the 1st inning…😂. Game wasn’t even a half inning long, yet, and Earl was already in his own 7th inning stretch…😂
Earl Weaver is the best...that little old dude was loved in Baltimore. If noticed.....he would walk away but when he turned back the crowd ROARED every time. I'm sure he knew that and just wanted to entertain thr home crowd. Billy Martin is another manager who liked to brawl with the umps. He was a hard nosed player and carried his tough guy style as a manager.
Love him so much I’m too young for him to be in my time but I’ve seen and read all the stories my dad loved him and even got his autograph somehow, Earl is a legend
If you guys stayed in the US for another few years, I could see Aiden playing little league & Daz running on the field arguing balls & strikes with the umpire!!
The Terry Collins (Mets) argument stemmed from Chase Utley of the Dodger (former Phillies superstar, Mac from Always Sunny in Philadelphia’s crush) broke Mets Ruben Tejada leg while he was trying to break up a double play. So the pitcher was trying to hit Utley at the plate
It was a dirty, dirty slide by Utley. He made zero effort to slide correctly (i.e., on time) and it looked intentional. Maybe not to break Tejada's leg, necessarily, but to injure for sure.
That Earl Weaver clip was late 1970s or early 1980s. Billy Martin was also known for crazy umpire arguments in the 1970s and 80s. Arguing with umpires is baseball tradition!
I would hate to be a player and keep quiet about umpires/refs. If it were me, I would start cutting checks for fine amounts and go off on the refs because some calls like baseball are bogus and umps are trigger happy to throw out players if they look at them funny or hell even breathe on them. But it's always a good show to watch people blow up at the umps/refs.
The last one that you liked so much was Earl Weaver he was known for a very short temper and getting thrown out of games. Another couple of mangers with a funny very short temper was Billy Martin and Lou Pinella both Yankees mangers at one time I know you can find some of them floating around on You Tube
😂 I gotta watch this again, Daz would make a great Baseball manager. It's basically yelling louder and meaner so you get ejected and not the star player lmao
The umps are more often mic’d up during the World Series and playoffs. The Earl Weaver fight with the umpire had to have been from 1982, the last time the Orioles were in the WS.
I just noticed that the argument between Earl Weaver and the tall ump is at the TOP of the 1st inning...the game is only 2 or 3 Batters old and Earl us already setting the pace if the game.
Great Reaction fellas, Daz you need to do NHL trash talk micd up. I know you did it before with the other blokes but im not sure if your son has seen them
Umpires hated Earl Weaver because he had such a short wick. He was entertaining for a while but after a while as you’re sitting in the stands you just wanted to get back to the game!
Nice. I commented on your karma video earlier today about hitting batters and that mets clip where he threw behind him is exactly what I'm talking about.
Baseball managers and coaches wear the same uniform as players because there's a universal rule you can't be on the field wearing street clothes. That's why football, basketball, and hockey coaches aren't in uniform: There's never a reason for them to venture onto the field, the court, or the ice, and if they do step into the field of play, it's a penalty. In baseball, the manager or pitching coach goes to the mound to talk to a pitcher or pull him from the game, or discuss strategy and fielding assignments with the infielders. The third base coach and first base coach are relaying signals, yelling when to slide, when to take another base, etc. There have been managers who wore street clothes -- the famous Connie Mack from the early and mid-twentieth century is the most renowned -- but per the rules, they never set foot on the field. And unlike the other three big sports, baseball has had many dozens of player-managers, who of course had to be in uniform.
As far as the Terry Collins incident: the player they were trying to hit was Chase Utley. He is a dirty player and everyone knows it. The year prior he slid into second base and deliberately broke the Mets shortstops leg in the playoffs. MLB teams have long memories and this was the very next time they faced each other.Terry was livid that MLB gave no punishment to Utley, so they attempted to take it into their own hands. He is so angry here because the umpire ejected the Mets pitcher before he was able to retaliate against Utley.
indeed, have a look at last week and the Ashes series with England v Australia. Even the posh crowd in the Lords long room were having a go at the Aussies! It is called sledging at it happens a lot in Cricket.
I remember Daz, Dave, Mike one time commenting on the managers in baseball wearing uniforms. Even though I grew up with baseball ⚾ I see your point. All I'm saying I can't ever see a manager coming on the field to argue with a suit or khakis. Way back 100 yrs ago you would have player/managers so I'm guessing that's why managers dress in a players uniform. Last player/manager was Pete Rose in the mid 1980s right before he voluntarily signed to Dowd report which stipulated his lifetime ban from baseball.
At least they would look like adults rather than preteens running out on the field in little league uniforms. It's not any less ridiculous than if bill belichick was roaming the sidelines wearing shoulder pads and a helmet with paint under each eye.
The "little guy" who was yelling and saying he would be in the Hall of Fame was indeed elected to the HOF years later.
Earl Weaver--a great manager.
For what? Fucking up World Series?
Fun fact, so was the umpire he was arguing with.
Go O’s
@@brianeleighton, that umpire is not in the Hall of Fame. LOL
The one with Terry Collins and the one with Earl Weaver are two all-timers.
Earl Weaver CLASSIC!!!!

You know it! 😂
Aiden does look like he could play some baseball 😂
Earl was a great manager and had some of the best ejections of all time. He got his moneys worth and more.
Earl Weaver is a legend, dude goes off lol

It was intentional to break up a double play, not break his leg! Utley was also a 2nd baseman & got it almost as good as he gave it.
I’m also glad that it’s illegal to do that now, no reason to get hurt in that way as commonly non-contact sport
cant believe they didnt show the Grant Balfour Victor Martinez clip, my fav all time
Earl Weaver was a lunatic with an obvious Napoleon complex, but it made for some hilarious ejections like the one here
Nah he didn't have little man's disease. He was just firey 🔥 like Billy Martin.
Arguing with umps is like arguing with the cops after they see you commit a crime. It never ends well and the more you talk the worse it gets.
He said in an interview the day after he was inducted in the H.O.F., he was embarassed by such stuff.
10:40 Earl Weaver was awesome. That argument was in the very beginning of the game too. And Earl did indeed go onto the Hall of Fame
That Earl Weaver clip was late 1970s or early 1980s. Billy Martin was also known for crazy umpire arguments in the 1970s and 80s. Arguing with umpires is baseball tradition!
Best part of that argument.. look at the scoreboard.. it was the top of the first, third batter of the game!
8:53 is one of the greatest ejections in history imo just the step into it and the “yeah? BOOM!” just ties it all together
Fun fact, Earl Weaver is indeed in the Hall of Fame as a manager.
Earl made it to the hall of fame in 1996
I would hate to be a player and keep quiet about umpires/refs. My man sweet Lou. He's a legend up here in Seattle!!
@@gmac9987 yes he had a quite a few blow outs out there as well LOL He was hilarious when he lost control LOL

still one of my favorite reactions on the OG channel for baseball clips never gets old
The umps are more often mic’d up during the World Series and playoffs. The Earl Weaver fight with the umpire had to have been from 1982, the last time the Orioles were in the WS.
The crusty old managers/umps are THE BEST!!!
Earl was infamous for his confrontations with umpires. Miss those old school managers
You have an Eagles jersey touching a Giants hat?! And the Astros and Nets?! I know you love hating on Philly teams, but you’re trolling us now!! 😂
😂
Earl Weaver was a legend and that was old time baseball when you had way better characters in the sport
Really enjoying the content guys! Keep it coming!
I just noticed that the argument between Earl Weaver and the tall ump is at the TOP of the 1st inning...the game is only 2 or 3 Batters old and Earl us already setting the pace if the game.
Anyone that calls baseball boring....idiot. Earl Weaver was a legendary manager for the Orioles....
baseball managers and umps are a different breed lmao

React to this legendary ejection deserves a closer look. Breaks down the terry collins rant
Earl Weaver was the GOAT
If you haven't already done so you may as well review the best fight in MLB history, just type Braves & Padres fight into your search. Cheers!

Texas definitely has the best uniforms. So classic and clean. You should see their baby blue uniforms. San Francisco Giants also have nice ones too.
Classic and clean => boring
Astros hat let’s go 🤘🏾
Hes suppose to be a Mets fan.
These sort of videos and the Jomboy videos actually made me hate umps so much I stopped watching baseball.
