I stand directly behind them - when I record them...
If I stand from the side and record them - they will look much more different and unpleasant :o)

Just curious,,, What would the rockets go for? I'm sure you need license and stuff,, But let's say I had all the permits and licenses,, What's the tickets on some of these?
It's somewhat impossible to estimate the cost of [any] one rocket because it all depends upon what you use to make it with. The rocket tooling, chemicals, sticks, & tubes will eventually put a dent in your wallet. Most of us just do it as a hobby and not for profit. I'm afraid You would have to start by investing in some time to learn how to make them yourself because no one [that I know of] makes fireworks and sells them. It's not worth the risk or the trouble that might ensue from doing so.
If you are really interested in making fireworks for yourself to enjoy, simply reply to this comment, and I will provide you with a link and instructions on where to begin. You can make them without a license. You just can't transport them [legally] off your property without one.

Ok. Check out fireworking.com/ - That's where all the notorious builders in the U.S.A. congregate to share advice and methods on how to make quality fireworks safely. Many fireworking veterans are on the site regularly, as well as builders from all over the world. It cost's $40.00 per year to subscribe. This keeps out all the trolls and the incompetent. Once you're on there, introduce yourself and explain what you would like to learn about. Members on the forum will offer you advice and try to help you get started the proper way. Just don't make the mistake of choosing flash powder as your first topic of interest, otherwise people will most likely avoid you.

I love the rockets but why is there other things going off at the same time?
If I'm not mistaken, they gave Tom a short window of open sky [right after the rocket rodeo] which began at 9:20 pm and then they began open shooting at 10:00 PM. I could be wrong, but that's the best explanation I can offer you.
The question many of us are asking each other is... WHY WOULD ANYONE WANT TO SHOOT ANYTHING WHILE THESE ROCKETS WERE BEING DISPLAYED. That's the big question I have here.
