I can feel the energy!! I muffed my Amazon Sr PMT interview, but I’m not sad. I really wasn’t ready. I keep having to find ways to reignite my dream, I got caught up in the race to get into BigTech. I’m going to stop chasing and start living. Thanks John!

Hi john, this video is so full of knowledge and wisdom. I believe in a pragmatic approach to a career and life. You must realize that a job will not make you happy. Living in your desired neighborhood won't make you happy. Marrying that person won't make you happy. Buying that Tesla won't make you happy. Each of these things only bring transient happiness. True happiness comes from a sense of purpose. You can cultivate this purpose by working on hobbies and side projects. But be pragmatic and understand that a job is necessary to live but not the only reason to live for.

Thank you John! I’ve had this experience too, where people feed self-limiting beliefs on me, on themselves, on others etc. While I try to be consciously aware of this, at times I find myself guilty of this too - the imposter syndrome! What I now try to do is: focus on what I want to do, do it, share it with others, motivate others to do the same! Also just to share what what I’ve learnt from a senior before, always lift others up, never down. I think this is so important and it would mean so much to the receiver.

Hey John, I was just thinking about this today and happen to come across your video. It's great to hear some validation to what I was trying to convince myself. There's a bit of imposter syndrome but in all honesty you have to begin in order to become something. I think we shouldn't be afraid to be beginners and that is the roadblock I keep ignoring. Once again, solid content and I'm looking forward to the next one!

Poor guy, can’t believe someone would say this to him. I’d never even dream of saying something about someone’s accent. But I’m ESOL myself.
‘The I’m not yet’ is suuuuch a blocker for me. Thank you for this video!

Love this John. Needed to hear this today. Coming up to my 10 yr anniversary on being on LI and looking to creating my 2nd bucket. BUT I also share the sentiment of the caller from India. Not an expert but trying and learning. Would love to connect on LI if you have room! 😊

Hi. All the books , all the life coaches all the rah, rah rah you can do it people talk about, all start their advice and or suggestions with follow your passion. Follow your dream, be courageous....NONE, ever of the ones I have read or listened to or speak with, address the absence of passion for a goal or a dream. I have courage by the barrels, ....but I don't have any grandiose idea of a dream or a goal. Because I know if I had one, I would go for it. So when you have all the courage to just go for things big or small, and there's no such thing as a coveted goal, how do you guys addressed that ? Would be nice for a change to hear people like you speak about that angle. That doesn't mean that I am even close to satisfy with my untapped potential, I don't have a "place" where to directed. Any comments would be appreciated. Thanks

hello, id start by taking note everytime i feel happy or enthusiastic about something, and what specifically makes me feel that way about it, for about 2-3 months, then id gather all the notes and see if patterns or a big theme emerges (edited for spelling)
