    This experience, happenening during a bad breakup where I was losing everything already, literally broke me brought me to my knees. But they say when your heart is cracked wide open is when the light can get in. I was already becoming spiritual when I got sick, but turned to prayer a lot and also opened up to energy healing and other practices that gave me a whole new persective to , well, existence! 😁 I made a pact with God that if I got better I would finally do what I have been feeling called to do which is become a Coach to help others, serve a higher purpose. Also live my life more fully, not the 60 hour workweeks I used to. I never even allowed myself a bucket list before I was too busy being responsible. Now I am finally feeling well enough to travel and see family this week which is exciting! Although it takes extra planning to not get overwhelmed. I think the experience truly humbles you. I have finally learned to be grateful for it. ❤

      That is awesome to hear! I'm so glad you were able to have some wake up calls and realizations, and really see what's important in life. Work comes and goes but experiences last forever! And that's something you'll understand more and more as you recover from something like this. Keep going!

    What do you do when all family and friends leave when you're so sick? Most everyone, including my partner in a 10 year relationship, left when i got so sick. I reovered 70% doing amygdala work, trauma, nervous system, and grief work. Then things got very rough, list part time gig, and couldn't get my treatments for gastroporesis. I became homeless and car broke down. The rest of family and friends left. I had a place to live eventually, for 9 months, as i was the sole caretsker for a woman with alzheimers. Then, the son in law attacked and strangled me. 2 years almost, homeless, no car, and no more resources to recover. Im trying to find a place to luve, so thats more stress, and having to qork hoysekerping 15 hites a week, which tear me up, in order to have $ for my meds and GI treatments, and the tiny bit of food i eat

    Did you ever experience muscle tremors or twitching?

    • @cfsrecovery
      @cfsrecovery  3 роки тому +4

      Actually yes I experience quite a bit of that, that was the one freaky symptom that always threw me off because I would be lying in bed and my body would jolt, sometimes it would even jolt me out of my sleep. Tremors freaked me out too I was pretty convinced that I had Parkinson’s, but overtime it went away. Those tremors are pretty much a telltale sign that your nervous system is extremely overactive. Over time it gets bette through!

    • @emileconstance5851
      @emileconstance5851 3 роки тому +1

      @@cfsrecovery I've gotten more of these symptoms as my ME got worse--tremors or twitching come on regularly either as I'm falling asleep or as I'm waking up (and even while meditating if I go past 15-20 mins). The nervous system is revving up at times when it should be calming down. It's very hard to understand, and very disruptive of sleep. I'm trying to do everything to calm my CNS, and hoping it will happen over time. Trying to be patient, but experiencing a lot of difficulties trying to stay positive, as you mention in the video. Also very lonely and bored, so I frequently make the mistake of spending too much time online when I should be resting (however, if I just rest 24/7 I seem to get somewhat depressed, so I seem to need to find some balance). Thanks for your excellent advice--I need to be more mindful of the points you make.

    Did you have brain fog? Was it your last symptom to leave?

    • @cfsrecovery
      @cfsrecovery  3 роки тому +1

      Actually yes I had soo much brain fog, like most of the time I was bedridden I felt like a zombie. Especially from the lack of sleep. The last symptom to leave was definitely the headaches after I would push myself (like try to go for runs). But the headaches wouldn't be bad at all compared to what they were when I was sick. Maybe 10-15%?

    When you were proactively focusing on recovery, how long did it take to really feel back to 100%?

    • @cfsrecovery
      @cfsrecovery  3 роки тому +1

      I've come to the realization recently, it's hard to say what 100% is because if you think about it we as humans are always improving. Even today I can't say that I'm at 100% because I'm getting better every day. BUT, having said that, I felt back to where I was before I got sick about 1 year 10 months after focusing on my recovery.
