Considering the fact that TDU2 is a game from 2011, it does not look bad at all compared to the game from 2024. I played it recently and it is still gr8 just as I remember it.
SC looks like a fucking cheap Unity Game tbh. It's cooked, also no real story and online only

I agree with #8, it should provide the option to even play the game in offline mode. Let’s say it rains or something happens in the world which cuts internet access, shall the game that we bought not be played at all? It says “Always online” but it would be better if it was possible to progress with the stories and go online during the entire month of the provided DLC and that’s it.
Honesty, Solar Crown doesn’t feel like a TDU game at this stage.
Test Drive: Limited is just a Cheap Mobile Phone Knock off of Forza Horizon, but nowhere near as Fun, is set in China and has Literal Gambling in it hence the 18 Rating. UGH! RUBBISH! an *Insult* to the Test Drive Unlimited Legacy!

TDU2 also had a casino and gambling, so that point doesn't stand.
@@Soxynos True, I sometimes forget that as I never got that DLC. IIRC it also bumped the Age Rating up from a 12 to an 18.
Still, one Point does stand, 18 is FAR too High for a Car Racing Game, and I think it is going to cause them to lose a lot of Sales. A Shame, as, from what I have seen, a 3 would be in line without the Casino, and that 3 Rating (like TDU1 had!) would have resulted in a lot more Sales!
It also remains an insult by being set in China, rather than on Hawaii, or Ibiza, or anywhere that is not China! the Mobile Phone at best Quality, and being a poor Rip off of Forza Horizon rather than a Proper TDU Game.
@Arts_GamesX8 To be honest, I am sad to say that I knew the Game was going to be a Disaster as soon as the First Delay Hit.. it just rang of "Cyberpunk all over again", I am just, actually, kind of Sad to be Proven Right, as a lot of People are going to be Disappointed, and I feel bad for them, I really do.

Since you mentioned the Discord. I always get the impression when I pop in there that criticism, no matter how nicely it's presented, is not welcome. As if only the hardcore fanboys hang around there, who want to keep any criticism away from the game...
I've felt the discord there is pretty friendly - Of course there'll be "snobby" people but hey, people are people 🙃

Didn’t TDU use to have the full steering rotation?
In TDU 1 and 2, we only had around 180 degrees of rotation
I don't like that all the cars in the game are LHD in a country where they drive on the left side of the road, it really ruins the immersion of the game for me.
I agree with you on the steering angle gripe, but i feel that it being an online only game is a massive deal breaker for me because not all of us can afford to be or want to be constantly online just to cruise around on your own
Apart from the gripes you mentioned and the ones I listed above, TDUSC seems like a promising game imo
Imagine this, there's a long race, 10 minutes a lap, you're on your last lap with 2 minutes to go, your wi-fi turns off... Online only is the worst thing they could've done.
And if the game is not getting enough players, they will turn off their servers within 5 years and your entire game which u paid $70 is gone …
@@lowballingTX It's bound to happen unless they're smart enough to release an offline patch. Test Drive Unlimited will not have the player base to support this game for years to come. This series is a bit niche compared to something like Forza Horizon.

You can fix the wheel controls. The advanced setup menu is bugged and you dont see anything but clicking left and right actually changes steering sensitivity. I changed mine to 2.3 and it feels great, no weird deadzone, driving is such a pleasure on a wheel.
So you just click it and go left or right until 2.3 even though you can’t see it???

Graphics look worse than TDU2. No houses, no driving schools, always online and many more issues... As someone who's all time fav racing game is TDU2, I don't feel interested in this game much.
That's true indeed. I'm playing TDU2 once more and the game aged well considering it's from 2011. The game looks gr8, especially during the sunset or at night.
I am going to play a lot of this game but the more videos I see like this I feel it needed minimum another year or even 2
The little traffic and the environment glitches are obviously helping the performance (GT7 handles the envirmonment the same way as TDU:SC, which is fine for me). In general, these problems aren't game killers for me, even i totally agree with the annoying waiting time before events and the fact that this is an online only game. Can't wait for the release
True, but the lack of traffic does make the map feel "empty" - I reckon it would be game changing if we had realistic traffic density, but I'm not too fussed
@YuwanThayakaran i wouldn't say realistic... it'll drive away the dorks who cant drive for shiz (lol).... but something in between will definitely improve the feel a lot.
I haven't played the demo, but the lack of apartment customisation, police chases and different type of events (just races seen on the demo) worry me. Game will feel empty and people will move on very quickly

you can turn the engine off when u come to a stop it gives me a key to press and it shuts off but yea wheel is a tragety

We need the navigation on the screen in the car just like in TDU2 and maybe even other in car menus
this demo version is like old test version or as developer said, a very old test version so keep that in mind. Also, no police due to political reasons, remember Hong Kong riots, China getting involved etc?

Agree with just about everything you mention. I thought I was the only who hated to leave my room, ride an elevator, see a cut scene of myself walking out the elevator and then running to the door to get to my car. I hope that is just demo shit and it will go away.

What I’m always concerned of are the modern car models we have today are being lacked in the game, like we’re getting cars like the 370z, the Corvette C7 ZR1, the last gen Q7, and the last gen mustang. Instead of newer cars like the Nissan Z, the Corvette C8, the Lamborghini Revuelto, and many current models. And Hong Kong Island in the game does not have a great depiction. Like its traffic cars and its culture are nothing compared to how it is in real life.
Nobody wants new cars they are all ugly there was a bootleg Mustang in a mobile game that looks just like the new Mustang and that bootleg model is from 2013

The bulidings looks like a 2010 mobile game and the car looks super detailed. So many things are just off about the game and I dont think they will be changed before launch😕

So after playing the game for alittle over an hour (thats all I could stand of it) they need to work on the optimization so much bc there's no way the game should be stuttering and freezing on all low settings and dlss put for performance with a RTX 4070ti Super. I like the game bc I loved TDU2 so much and was looking forward to getting this game but they need to do something about it bc thats unacceptable even for a beta with the game coming out in 3 months.
To add to the video: less rudimentary AI, hold O on controller to quickly leave a building, NPCs walking around, custom camera settings, controller optimization, better more precise livery editor, houses and garages, every shop should look different they need more character, clothes shops around the map, and most importantly performance Optimization. Impossible... probably

you can actually turn your car off so you were wrong on that one, just hold the interaction button and press b or circle. Gotta at least make sure you're doing your research before making complaints fam!
4:34 Sterring Wheel support is really bad, I drive with the Logi 923, and in the game the setting is 300 degrees as default, it's just awful how the car take corners at high and low speed, I change the setting from 300° to 220° and works a bit better, but still that sensation of udersteer should be fix, by the way excellent video 😁
I was extremely excited for this game but the fact that the game is in this bad of shape after 4 years and its releasing in a couple of months is really concerning and disappointing.
I cant even play it because it keeps telling me my graphics driver is known to be unstable and i have the latest one. i got in the game and started the first drive in that orange lambo and it stopped loading the map and crashed. So i dont know what to do. There was also lots of glichy black squares in dark areas
I disagree, official body kits is very important for games like this.
You enjoyed police chases in tdu1 and 2? That's a surprise, they were an utter broken mess sometimes too easy and sometimes impossible to escape, game is better without them imo
also the startup of the cars sounds good but then it drops n sound so low ahhh would been nice to have to sound as the car start up
Please don't put the TDU1 house bgm along with the TDU:SC forced online play lobbies
to be fair to the devs it is still under development and the demo build is almost a year old or so. i hope they dont mess up the final release and keep up with the expectations people have.

The sticker thing is exactly the same as TDU2 and I didn't understand it in that game either. Surely when you blow up, say, a 1080p image, it'll remain in that resolution, if anything it'll be harder to make it the smaller it is, but in TDU2, it actively goes to less resolution the bigger it gets? Very weird

Textures take up a lot of space, so those stickers are probably meant to be small since making them higher resolution means taking up a lot more storage. This is for optimization.
When I rebinded my controls the old controls seemed to still be present. It's really annoying and game breaking imo
when i enter a new area i get a massive lag spike and freeze made me loose 3 races anyone els have similar issue

the demo is really unstable and cannot run on max settings without a 4090 (and even then it can't hold fps well)

@@CeeDeeLmao It doesn't take a full rotation to do a gentle curve at speed, if you were to put that much lock in, your front wheels would be turned way too far and you'd be skidding out

i really think the graphics need a full revamp as well as the optimisation. The demo runs like ass on my fairly decent PC (6750xt and i7 7700k). Even at full low graphics i can barely hit 60 fps at 1440p
