Just to be clear, *I AM NOT SAYING SOLAR CROWN IS A BETTER GAME THAN FORZA HORIZON 5*
Obviously this game had a VERY rocky start and the state of it right now is still pretty embarrassing - This video is just me compiling certain aspects about TDU Solar Crown which are superior to what we get in Forza Horizon 5...
(Also I didn't mention the server issues as this was early early access footage so I never faced any of those problems - But IF you are planning on actually buying TDU Solar Crown, I'd personally wait it out for them to fix those issues)

@ld9387 In my understanding the engine only needs to render in a certain area around you, things in the distance are in lower resolution, so the engine is never rendering the entire map at once just the area you're in, I'm no game developer so feel free to correct me.
It's crazy how nobody's talking about how in TDU 1 and 2 you can explore the jungle anywhere you look you can go and how in solar Crown they keep you from doing that they have rocks everywhere you basically can't go off the trail if you try to then you're going to be stuck
Not to mention all the bugs that are in the game the physics are not working right and I love to you I promise you I wanted this to succeed I pre-ordered got the Gold Edition but let's just be honest

Basically all car sounds,interior sound is amaizing,like you feel the horsepower,with,like exemple,the transmission's whistle sound(not on all cars) when you do low RPM feel so good,like reflections,the fact that youre back mirrors show the interior of the car and not just the exterior,and the turbo adaptation,meaning that if you accelerate and the BAR of the turbo is high,you will hear the tudududdu but on low bar only a tuuu
As a mustang owner myself, I can confirm that the mustang indicators are a bit inaccurate, as all 3 of those lights turn on and has like a special 1 2 3 like indicator where the lights flash in order (if yk, yk Idk how to explain it). I can't believe they missed that.

Its a good driving game. Just not what a lot of original fans wanted. I personally think its great, especially with the wheel. Id rather play this than motorfest or forza. I hate those festival type games where they gift you a bunch of expensive cars that ruins the progression and they're too arcadey.

This game is pretty amazing, even with the connection issues, it has very deep tuning and handling and tires physics are on point. It male a huge difference the tire compound you use for races, and the doesn't automatically change the tires for you, so of you forget to do it yourself, you lose. So you can have a higher pr rating with slick tires, but if its raining, you are better off changing to stock tires which give you a lower pr rating, but you will have better grip. Little details like that matter, and the more you delve into tunning (Yes, there are presets, but deeper tunning exists), the more you get out of the car. This game is much diff from what's out there, and might nit be for everyone, but it's definitely worth the try if you are inclined to do so. Have fun out there
Yes! You see it!!! I’m addicted to the handling. After some wheel tuning it feels surprisingly realistic. Dirt roads are premium and itches my casual rally driving. People will sleep on this game if they don’t have a wheel.

Stable servers, many online players in the lobby, The game doesn't kick you out, The game was developed shorter and ran better since launch
For most of these points they're the same in tdu2 which you can get for like a tenth of the price (alot of these points are also relevant to tonnes of other racing games as well) other than that, great vid

I love when racing games provide a lifestyle of race culture and feeling your collection means something. I purchased the game immediately after seeing this video and your perspective. Nicely done.
I remember playing Test Drive 6 on my ps1 back in the day. Playing this with the wheel and pedals feels amazing. When they fix the servers and add a few more features this will easily be the best open world driving game out there. I just hope the devs stick with it if the launch is poor.

Sadly, like Motorfest, TDUSC just has too many *Terminal* Content Issues (One of which is the Location in SC's case) for me to even Consider it. Remember, even FH5 only *juust* Scrapes below *Terminal* (FH5 is *offensive* in places but not Terminal! ,although it comes *very* close to Terminal I am afraid, PGG needs to be a *lot less Woke* with FH6! )for me in terms of Content Issues, so the much more Prevalent Issues of TDUSC just Writes it off for me, same as they wrote Motorfest off for me :(

At #16 in FH5 there's 2 better ways to start your car of any kind if you're on the controller slightly hit the right trigger button (I believe that's the one that'll do it? and whatever the button is for PC and wheel) in the car upgrade menu you'll hear the engine starting up or atleast if I recall correctly anyways 🤔 and the 2nd one is if you're in a house or festival site of any one of them and just hit the drive button you're car also starts up as well (although TDUSC does it better than FH5)

Yea except compared to TDU2 the cars were actually priced fairly compared to the inflation prices now. I mean $200K for a 370z is crazy. And AI is untouchable in this game even maxed out but I still love it for some reason.

Hitting things actually slow cars down, punishing you for sloppy driving and cutting corners. In FH5 only ultralight cars lose noticeable amount of speed, unless they plow by meters of destructible objects, and it still might be faster than following road.
I just hope that FH6 gonna have all of these upgrades instead of just a re-shade game like before
Torben Ellert has confirmed that FH6 is *Not* going to be a Reshade of FH3 like FH4 and FH5 were , as he has Publicly Stated that the FH4/5 Route is the "Wrong Direction" for the Franchise and that they just "have not worked" , as a Result, FH6 is "going in a completely different direction to any Previous Horizon Game". However, we do not know what that Direction will be, other than it will be Held back in some ways by Microsoft making an ESRB E/PEGI 3 Age Rating *Mandatory* for all Future Forza Games after 2019 under their "Forza Safe Space" Corporate Policy,

@@Bell-ny8cz The Car Companies will not allow that. There are Car Companies (Toyota, Renault, Peugeot, FIAT, Lancia, etc) who Literally will not License to "Street Racers" anymore, and *Mandate* Festival Racers in their Licensing Deals, so it will still be some Kind of Festival Racer.
Also, you need Government Permission to use even the Name of a Real Country and its Provinces these days, and with a mostly Urban Map (which, to be honest, would write the Game off for me, Mostly/Purely Urban maps Genuinely Depress me) that Permission is not going to be Given, Governments are far more likely to give a Greenlight to a map that Highlights the best of their Country's Natural Beauty. They are likely to Sue over a map that is the worst of their Urban Squalor.
Without Xbox One Holding the Game back (as it was the Severe Performance issues FH3 had on Xbox One which caused PGG to avoid doing a Modern City with 4 and 5) the Map will Probably have a Modern Skyscraper City like FH3's Surfers Paradise, but like Surfers, it will Probably be only a Small Part of the Map, rather than the Main Focus. Especially as PGG Considers Purely Urban Maps to be Ugly and Generic, and the 90 Degree Road Layouts do not work very well with Forza's Physics Engine.
We will get what we will get, just so long as they Scrap the FOMO Chore Chart I will be Happy (Taking a Leaf from Motorfest and making the "Playlists" not only Permanently Available, but Mini-Stories with Proper Cutscenes, Actual Characters, and Real Festival Atmosphere so strong it changes how the map Looks! would be a good Idea IMO!) , as it is that, more than anything, why FH4/5 just have not worked IMO.
I do like the Idea of a Traffic Density Slider, as Some Players do enjoy racing through Extremely Heavy MCLA Level Traffic, Other Players do not like Traffic at all! (me) , so a Slider that goes all the way from "Off" to "No Hesi" to let the Player set the Traffic Level Manually would be Brilliant!

@@Bell-ny8cz FH5's map is Abysmal, I have to give you that, it is, in the Entire of my 28 Years as a Gamer, pretty much the *worst* Open World Map that I have ever Experienced, but that was due to Mike Brown (who, IMO, was utterly Incompetent) building the map *Purely* Around Battle Royale and choosing a Location that was also biased *Purely* around its Suitability for Battle Royale and with No Consideration on if it even Fit (Sorry, but, in all Brutal Honesty, the Third World does not Fit a Game about Expensive Cars, the Posh Car plus Poverty Background Contrast is just Heartbreaking!) the Franchise or not!
FH5 being a Flat, Featureless, Dead, Dry, Sand Pancake is because of Mike Brown (who has since quit and been Replaced by the Aforementioned Torben Ellert) , not the Car Companies.
Hopefully, as Torben has Publicly Stated that he is *not* a fan of the Eliminator, at all, that mode will be Scrapped and FH6 will be built around its Road Network like FH2's Map, and with that Road Network built around the Car List.
The Traffic Density Slider with the Ability to Vastly Increase the Level of Traffic would indeed make it less of a Ghost Town (as well as having a Town that does not look so Outdated, Run Down, and Ancient that it feels like it has been Abandoned since 1964!) would get Rid of the Ghost Town Feeling.
Basically: TDU is more realistic than FH5, but it doesn't mean anything.
It depends what you want from the game, I very much value realism and car details+interactivity, and the dealership experience. I despise buying cars from a menu and getting gifted expensive cars too easily. The progression and detail of TDU appeal to me a lot, as for many players. So it does in fact mean something..
I personally love all those features. I love just cruisin around (with the steering wheel) with the windows down or im the rain. The driving and atmosphere feels great. And the progression is definitely better then motorsport too. You actually have to work to get nice cars.
Theres no mazda rx7 or skyline or other jdm's only the 350z and GTR i think

@@bobmarley6306 Given the issue is because of the Extreme Political Hostility that Japan has towards China, and Vice Versa, I do not think even a Successful Game (which is not likely, TDUSC, and I am sorry to say this, is Failing and Hard due to its Rough Launch, Third Rate (even when working right) Nature, Lack of Single Player/Offline Features (a massive Complaint that one!), and other such issues) will convince the Japanese Companies to overlook that Hostility between the two Countries.
The fact it’s been so long since the last TDU and the tech is so much more powerful makes releases like this genuinely pathetic.
Bugs, broken lobbies, frame rate drops, no pedestrians, no side missions, lacking car list, lacking modifications, no player houses…among many other issues.
We had better back on the ps2 and if some clever modders went to town on TDU2 it would render all these current gen games obsolete.
It's good and bad that game development and technology have advanced so much that these days we are comparing games with awesome graphics based on how you can manually control the turn signals and on whether or not the game lets you put a sticker on your mirror.
It's good, because, well, I think it's obvious why it's good. All these small things in games are really cool, and like I said, it's advanced, it's great.
But it's bad because I go on online forums and I see people calling games "unplayable sh" because it's only 60 fps, and the game occasionally freezes for like 2 frames.
I'm 41, I grew up playing C64 and DOS games, and Nintendo's NES was peak technology for us back then. I remember that, when NFS Carbon came out, I don't know if it was the game itself, or just the version I could get my hands on, but left turn did not work when you were using the NOS. We just learned how to play the game only using the NOS in straights or right curves. There was no online whatever where they just rolled out a fix next week. It did not work, period.
And today you go on reddit and see people saying how shit Forza (whichever one) is because the 3D image of the rims on cars is replaced with a 2D image once the car gets moving and above a certain speed.
FH5 is by no means perfect, but damn, some of these points are REACHING... Each to their own i guess but TDU SC in its current state is horrible... I really wanted to enjoy this game but it just feels off

One thing that I would want in Forza, starting and shutting off the engine. Anything else shown, not exactly needed in Forza.
I love Forza, but man. That damn Suspension Squeak is annoying as hell on any and all cars. I hope Test Drive doesn't have anything like that, but also having a customizable camera would be cool. The almost static-esque camera. I have never really been a fan of it.

Those are the factory options, there are aftermarket sets after you buy the car (mostly off road focused though)
He was on about manufacture options, something which Forza doesn't offer. You get a choice between stock (what was on the car they scanned) and aftermarket in Forza which sucks.

1:01 saying that Forza Cities looks bad because it looks like a Ghost Town is ok, but praising TDUSC Hong Kong and calling it "way better" is wild 😂😂😂 both look mid. A great example on how to do Busy Cities on racing Games is Midnight Club, side walk full of pedestrians, traffic is good enough that serves as a challenge without becoming annoying. Both are bad mate 😂

I am convinced that this game and TC Motorfest are better than whatever FH5 is atp, supercar at your face in the first hour of the game, while those TDUSC and TC Motorfest lets you grind for the cars (in TCM its optional to bring cars from TC2)
Also the servers are a big issue thats why I'm waiting for that to be resolved and for the sale too.

Playground are rather lazy, since Horizon 3 the franchise has gone downhill. Horizon 5 is just an interactive tourism advert that's void of life and is extremely boring.
The Big issue with FH4 and 5 was because they were Made under an *Incompetent and Unsuitable* Main Director, Mike Brown, who has since Quit (or possibly been fired..) and Replaced with Torben Ellert, FH5 has made some big Improvements under his watch, but, sadly, the Core Game is Extremely weak due to Mike Brown's Severe Mismanagement of the Franchise so its not going to get much beyond "Meh to good" due to how weak the Core Experience is.
If the Massive Improvements the Game has still managed to make under Torben Ellert are anything to go on However, FH6 will, Hopefully, put the series back on its Wheels again, as Torben himself has declared FH4/5 as "the Wrong Direction" for the Horizon Franchise and that they "Have not worked" , so we will have to see what they have come up with when they are ready to show us.
The problem with FH5 is that obtaining cars was SUPER easy.
@@rlepidi3573 Removing the "Wheelspin" Lootbox Gambling so the Cars have to be Purchased from the Autoshow (just rebalance the Payouts so its not a 200 Race Grind for just a Miata, we don't want an EA/Ubisoft "Buy Microtransactions or no Cars for You!" Experience, One Race should be enough for a Miata!) again would Fix that!
@@simeonyves5940 Yes, no matter how many improvements they bring to FH5. It makes no difference to me, because for my taste the game has fundamental shortcomings that can no longer be solved with updates. That's why I haven't played it since the last DLC.

@tawfeeqsh I think that's your nostalgia rather than a fault with the game tbh. You can't expect a new game to make you as nostalgic as the games you grew up with. Ofc I also get more nostalgia playing TDU 1 and 2, but to me Solar Crown is a worthy TDU game and captures the vibe and feel of the series well.
Most of the features you talked about are in TCM
Features which are not in TCM: Controlling the windscreen wipers, indicators, windows, hazard lights, roof, adjustable spoiler, headlights, car dealerships, neutral gear without wheel. Not sure how you arrived at that conclusion.

I don't play racing games to see my exhaust wobbling I play for multiplayer. Forza & other good racing games allow me to matchmake into full lobby in second's solar crown is online only mmo that has no way to play people. 7 other players in lobby every 20h you might see 1 player doing same race u doing. No matchmaking to just hop into a casual full lobby ranked racing is garbage same issue nobody joins and it's like 1 race every hour or something looool absolutely trash.... Games dumpster fire hot 🔥 garbage 🗑️

The game in its current form is simply unworthy of the name Test Drive Unlimited because 80-90% of the features of the old games are missing. Houses, real estate agents, licence tests for the various racing classes, all the side missions (delivery, convoy, taxi, adrenaline, jolt, speed limit, time attack, tail), offline...

This is why the game took such a long time to come out and was unfinished upon release? Most people don't care about these role play features.
Although, on the flip side, those that do will be more mature and better at driving in the game. So hopefully, the ramming kiddies will stick with horizon.
