As an American I can say that there’s a difference between being proud of your fellow citizens and grateful of our veterans and proud of our flag and constitution and the “Americans” that you’re describing. I know it wasn’t meant to be disrespectful but there are so many wonderful Americans that value and respect our country and it’s values without being extreme like you’ve described
I'm sorry but your comment makes no sense. Being proud of your fellow citizens include "the 'Americans' that Max is describing". Being grateful for your veterans... those are people who fight wars (aka kill people) in wars that are for the most part started by your government with no actual threat to your country (like those weapons of mass destruction that actually never existed) and are getting their own lives destroyed and get no support afterwards (what's their suicide rate? quite high, I believe). I'm sorry you've been raised to think your country is great, when everything points to the fact that indeed, it is not. Some Americans might be alright, but sadly, for the most part, it is not.
