Rick!!! Thank you for the support! Your professionalism is unmatched. I thoroughly appreciate it. Next time I'm in NC we'll link up for a beer...or tequila.
Had a wedding last month and they stuck me in a corner with 2 rows of tables between me and the dance floor...I told the groom we needed to move the tables but the bride said nope. Really hard to connect with your dance floor when this happens. And those tables got blasted all night
Great review and thanks for the time you spent creating it. I purchased a pair of 18" LD Icoa subs back in April of this year and they hold their own for small to medium setups. They were half the price of QSC's 18" subs and I bought them on a whim! I'm happy with the purchase thus far. However, I have been extremely turned-on by the BassBoss brand!!! Those speakers should be illegal and come with earthquake warnings. I don't have them , (not yet, nor am I being paid), but they are insane!!! Price tag included! Thanks again for the great content. Hey Rick. Great video as usual. You keep being a innovative Dj and business owner. I'm learning a lot from you and other DJs I find inspirational and information. I met you at the Dj Expo in Atlantic City in August and I'm getting ready to buy the Both lights and the Light saber 360 lights. Thanks for all the content.
So yay or nay? interested in the sub (says it gets down to 29hz) but the matching tops are a bonus. Looking to replace 181kw, which have been dead reliable.
great video man! are we gonna get a review about the LD system icoa's? :) and also maybe an advice if these are good beginner speakers? love the videos man keep them coming!
Rick, great video. Any video that you describe sub vs. speaker settings? My subs have thresholds for Hz and so do speakers. What if any is the benefit of using them. Thanks
Yorkville is top notch in my opinion the elite 18 subs and there other elite series and line array are on point I have used a lot of power speakers but these are the only ones I will every use No more junk Yorkville makes everything in house.
I tried a LD 15" ICOA, AND It sounded great. But that being said, it didn't last 1 hour, and it died no power. The company made me pay return shipping, which was not cheap, so that being said I was a little gunshot on trying another. Let me know what you think about them because I think they sounded great I'm just worried about reliability.
I'm going to be running LD Systems ICOA 12 A Inch Powered Speaker Pair with 15 Inch Sub...LD speakers in my opinion is second to none I generally don't do big gigs.....usually around 80 to 150 people) in small to mid size venues
thanks for posting LD, value your opinion, can't find anyone carrying LD in Va. mainly EV,QSC OR Mackie thinking about EV ekx's... how do they compare to these three
Hey good vibes here man I lean allot all the time ...I got a question...what's your take on talking during dancing ...as a DJ I feel like we should not talk too much ...but I saw a DJ who talked throughout the gig played ok but the vibe was lit...got me thinking 🤔...what's y'all take ...😊
Well everyone has a different DJ style. Some like to MC a lot and others little to none. Personally I like MC hyping and little encouraging throughout but the DJ needs to be smart and read the room. If they dont react well to you saying put your hands up. You should back off and just mix away lol
I’m not very keen to it, but a buddy and i started DJing for a local club and the owner wants us to talk a lot. The way this guy did it in this video was outstanding and not too over the top, but I’m having this conflict for myself. I personally don’t like talking on a mic and want to get better, my only issue is finding words to say during every other song. I wish there was a good video on UA-cam that can coach someone to be an MC while DJing at the same time.
@@Studpum Yes i agree i have been practicing while listening to music driving or at home . Great Event you had them jumping Great Team you have There.
Told everyone that those ICOA subs are the truth. Been rocking them since November
The subs bang and hit so low. Bought them back in April from your recommendation!
Me too
I have the two 15" tops right now & they are the truth! Currently running them with two 18" Alto subs. Can't wait to get the 18" LD subs!

I like that the icoa come in white and black
What about the ld systems icoa sub 15a?
I can't find enough reviews of the 15inch version
Its a good beginner speaker. Wasnt too impressed for use in 120+ people events

Great video! What about the thing you got from Colorado S and L? You should also do a sound test on the LD speakers. Regardless good video🔥
Have that device too. Check my channel for reviews on ICOA stuff
Do the tops sound harsher or weird since they have that coaxial horn that can be turned?
Yeah its different. Had to eq them to sound they way i wanted
Hey DJ rick can u please tell me how the icoa 18A sub compares to a yorkville es18p besides double in price many thanks bro
Hi, @DJRickWeb! great video! How would you compare the tops to the Mackie DRM 15?
These are much better. And probably twice as loud
Drm or icoa louder?
Icoa are louder
@@DJRickWeb got 2 15A BT and one 18 sub, very happy with them.
great job guys.....
Did you ever consider l-acoustics? It’s an expensive brand but the sound and features are amazing.
Yes but very expensive
Hey Rick do you allow your DJs to book events for themselves or do all bookings have to go through your company?
did you get rid of all the jbl? noticed less of it in your videos lately .
Still got a few left but yes pretty much all of it is gone now. As the type of events my company does changes the tools we use change to match
Dj and the MC did a great job 👏 the only one complaining about the high volume it was only you 🤷🏻♂️
i'd be super interested if you tried out the Bass Boss DV12 and SSP118 mk3!
Not impressed with bass boss anymore. The cost to performance is just too high
Great speakers especially for the price. Good luck in ordering them now though. Took me 3 months to receive mine. LD is so behind in production.
They blew up and were not ready for it. Solid products and great marketing is a recipe for creating huge demand
@@DJRickWeb very true but after 4 months now and I’m waiting for 1 more speaker protective cover. Something is not right with that recipe.
@TraxionDJs I agree. I lucked out that Nick was selling a full used set. Only had to get casters which found a set on amazon that worked

How big of a difference between ld 15 vs mackie 215 and is it worth almost double the money for bar dj and small weddings

Icoa 18. By far one of the most impressive 18 subs I have heard

Outdoors is hard to say. Havent had them outside yet. But in theory should be plenty based on indoor performance
Hell no
