From converting an actual school, creating some sort of cave house, or have a modern house that looks like floating balls connected to each other. I've thought of a fun house with rooms of all themes and designs, secret passages everywhere (love secret passages), spinning walls, etc. Now that would be fun. I've always thought tree house cities were interesting as well.

The Hundertwasser Haus in Vienna is famous and beautiful, but he also created some others that i consider even more impressive and also quite unusual, especially Rogner Bad Blumau with its 2400 all unique windows. I think the Hundertwasser Häuser are some of the most beautiful ever build.
