Hey Becca,,I appreciate your videos. when I was debating what curriculum to use. I came across your videos and it inspire me to make the decision. I think I had already made the decision in my heart, but you confirmed my decision. This is our first year, with SCM and we are loving it. Super simple and my girls like the living books and History, Geography so far so good,not boring at all. We love the Nature Journaling especially because we get to go out and enjoy the outdoors. I will continue to watch your videos for inspiration :)
I've been interested in possibly using simply Charlotte Mason history in a year or two, so I can't wait to here your comparison on the two histories.

Hi Becca - I'm enjoying your videos! We do a lot of the same curriculum. We did Apologia Astronomy this year and it was slow for us too. We loved it, but I think we only finished about 11 chapters in the book. We are just going to continue it next year until we finish it and then move on to another Apologia topic.

Hey Becca! Love your channel. I have a question. We have been homeschooling for 5 years. The last few years I have really felt led to switch to SCM, but have been a bit scared to take the "plunge." Mostly bc I started out feeling like we had to do "public school " at home. I was afraid that bc it was a more relaxed and natural style of teaching, that it wasn't enough. Everyone I watch on UA-cam in SCM feels that it is very thorough. I have a rising 10th, 6th and 3rd grader. What's your thoughts? Thanks so much!
Hi Elizabeth! SCM is very thorough. Her Bible/History/Geography curriculum is so rich in living books and very thorough although keeping with the gentle CM approach. Overall I'm really pleased with everything we've done and everything the boys have learned the last five years using it. Her living books selections for science in the younger elementary years are absolutely amazing. The Burgess Bird Book study has been one of our favorites. Don't let the gentle and relaxed approach scare you away! I promise you'll be so pleased and pleasantly surprised at how much they're learning! Thanks so much for watching!

What age you you suggest beginning picture study?
I started when our boys were 6 and 8 and was so excited at the end of the year when they could identify a few paintings! I think 6 is a great age to start!
Have you used Jack's Insects?
Calm In The Chaos- Homeschooling & Such We have the book and curriculum (notebook) from SCM but haven’t used it yet!
