The Devil Probably

A look at Robert Bresson's The Devil Probably. This looks at youth and their reactions to an increasingly polluted and cynical world, as they approach adulthood and wonder what to do with their lives. The possibilities are all compromised and mostly seem unworthy, leading to tragedy.

Good stuff sir. It's a Bresson I really need to rewatch as with all his films. I wasn't a huge fan of it the first time but I was a different person and a different film fan back then. Lancelot du Lac was my favourite back then.

It's not the easiest bresson film. It's got more characters and takes its time to zero in on these characters to show the world. So with the bresson style that can be distancing. But I think it's worth the effort. Always been a favourite of mine. Thanks for watching and commenting.
