I would like to buy another guitar with P90s in them. I play a lot of classic rock, i.e., AC/DC, Boston, Beatles, Stones, 38 Special, Greenday, that kind of music. Can you recommend any guitar(s) with P90 Pickups? I already have a Gibson SG Special with P90s.
I don't recommend guitars because I don't consider myself good enough to do that. If I did recommend a particular guitar and someone bought one, and hated it, who would they blame?
What do you think of pickups' tone spectrum when you rotate within 1-10 ? I can barely hear the difference between 10 and 2; then the tone changes at 1. Doesn't feel very sensitive. Great video btw
The Yamaha sounds fuller and bassier but also somewhat muddy. The Sire sounded brighter and more nasal. I can always roll off high frequencies - unless they’re not there in the first place. I bought the Sire.

Thanks for watching. I haven't even tried it, to be honest. You are probably correct, though 👍🏻👍🏻
I thought the Yamaha sounds a bit fuller, not quite as bitey as the Sire. But both are nice guitars. I need to try a couple.
I agree on all points, especially the last one 😉

The Yamaha sounds a bit muddy to me at least, the Sire pups are for sure brighter. The Revstar is more my style to be honest.
👍🏻👍🏻
Revstar is much "fuller", "richer". All the way through the final sustain, too. I don't find the Revstar's tone "muddy", either.
👍🏻👍🏻
BOTH sound good, but the Sire was tinnier than the Yammy!
Yes indeed! both sounded like a bass when i was recording it. I need to learn how to monitor properly.
@@650thunderbird Ok. Make SURE you set your monitors FLAT!
Thanks mate! @@DMSProduktions
@@650thunderbird YW & rock ON!
Yamaha vs Sire:
- bridge - 0:07 vs 0:21
- middle - 0:40 vs 1:05
- neck - 1:29 vs 1:52
I just watched another vid that said the Sire p90's were glassy. They sure are. Too thin for my liking.
