My exact same immediate response as well!!! It indicates how wonderful these parents are and indeed the children too!!! May this family’s Blessings continue to be Bountiful including their latest sweet little edition!!!
I’m so sorry for your loss. It very hard on the heart. This is a little story I found somewhere along the way. May it bring you comfort: “Being a veterinarian, I had been called to examine a ten-year-old Irish Wolfhound named Belker. The dog’s owners, Ron, his wife Lisa, and their little boy Shane, were all very attached to Belker, and they were hoping for a miracle. I examined Belker and found he was dying of cancer. I told the family we couldn’t do anything for Belker and offered to perform the euthanasia procedure for the old dog in their home.” As they made arrangements, Ron and Lisa told the vet that they thought it would be good for six-year-old Shane to observe the procedure. They felt as though Shane might learn something from the experience. The next day, the vet felt the familiar catch in his throat as Belker‘s family surrounded him. Shane seemed so calm, petting the old dog for the last time, that the vet wondered if he understood what was going on. Within a few minutes, Belker slipped peacefully away. The little boy seemed to accept Belker’s transition without any difficulty or confusion. They all sat together for a while after Belker’s Death, wondering aloud about the sad fact that dogs’ lives are shorter than human lives. Shane, who had been listening quietly, piped up, “I know why.” Startled, they all turned to him. What came out of his mouth next stunned the vet. He had never heard a more comforting explanation. He says that it changed the way he will try and live. “People are born so that they can learn how to live a good life - like loving everybody all the time and being nice, right?Well, dogs already know how to do that, so they don’t have to stay for as long as we do.” ♥️
I am also a grown man, 63 years old. I cry my eyes out every time I lose a dog. Lost Snoopy in April, 1981, lost Sammi in July of last year and about 10 in between. I am closer to them than I am to family...of course, i see them every day and am responsible for their well being. And they return their love to me. Hopefully I will be able to have dogs for years to come.
Deben tener bien claro los niños, q los perritos no son jueguetes como muchos creen. Los cachorros vuelven loco a cualquiera, pero al crecer, ahí quedó todo el entusiasmo. 😢
We had and lost a black lab before Bracken. We waited two years for a new puppy. The children know what is required to care and love a puppy. 3 years on they have a beautiful relationship with Bracken. ❤️
They had a very gentle reaction! They didn't scream and jump around and scare the puppy like a lot of children! What a sweet video!
Yeah I noticed that too- these are some seriously well-behaved kids

What a beautiful introduction! No screaming that could really scare the puppy. You can just tell how nice the relationship will be.

That's nice all they need to know now is how to care for it.
Smh🙄. How do you know they've never helped care for a dog before?
