  • Although it’s been almost 18 years since the first two women were able to become legally married in Massachusetts, you can still see the pride and genuine love in couples who continue to do so. Mandy, Jenna, and all their friends and family who attended, truly wanted to be part of the day.
We couldn’t have asked for a better winter day, with having snow on the ground from the day before and temperatures warm enough to allow us to do a lot of the photography outside.
We started doing The photography of them separately. The light was really nice and we were able to get some fun portraits of them. I like the idea of doing the first look as it gives the couple the opportunity to enjoy their own cocktail hour and we can be a little bit more creative with photography having that extra time to work with. Harrington Farm is one of the few venues that is equally nice outside as it is inside. We did some shots in front of the fireplace as well as the rustic doors. Everyone was both laughing and crying at the ceremony, I just it back and document that part of the day while trying to be discreet as I can. We time the day so that we can incorporate a sunset, and what a great sunset it was. The rest of the evening was filled with fun and dance. It was the perfect combination of the photojournalistic candids combined with the fun portraiture that they wanted in their imagery. I’m so glad I was able to be part of the day.
