- I haven't don't an Open Cup pour in a few weeks so I wanted to use up so left over paints. The composition of this pour is out of this world. Disrupting the cells adds depth, creates some beautiful warmth and this piece can be hung in the vertical or horizontal.

Thick paint doesn’t normally create a lot of cells. Very interesting how your technique produces them in a lovely way. Beautiful result!
The Open Cup Pour creates cells because of the technique. When you pour paint from up high, the paint sinks below the base coat so then come to the surface.

I loved the diagonal stretch from one corner to the other with negative space, but I wouldn't have opened it up, as you put it. Stretched a little too much for me. Still a lovely piece. 😊
