USA has a lot of phenomenal vets but Matt Anderson is on some Lebron type longevity. His game is so pure, its really a beautiful thing watching him play
Micah is an INSANE volleyball player and one of my favorite of all time. Looked like a bit of disconnect with his hitters quite frequently. Balls just weren't getting to the peak of the hitters swing everytime. That being said I'm really excited to see him on the USA team! A really dynamic player in the setter role is a massive tool. Multiple aces, multiple blocks, multiples kills. bravo!
Dude you were at the game!?!? That’s so awesome! I’m a new coach and I love your videos. The resources your channel provides helps me grow as both a fan and a coach! Keep up the good work!!
What is up with these amazing setters coming out of Hawaii with the name "Micah"? First the GOAT setter Christenson at 6'6" and now Ma'a at 6'4". What is it in Hawaii? The food? The water? The Pacific ocean?
He still practices with them but I think they just prefer to play christensen > ma'a > tuaniga. I remember watching Josh play UCLA with daenan gyimmah, he was sick
Yea i did mean against lmao, i knew all of them played each other/together at some point but mixed up the order haha, i wasnt a huge ncaa volleyball fan but i watched those 2 male rosters and some womens vball too @@KavesReal
@@diamondhyena5631 patch was an absolute unit. Think theres a big shoe to fill for USA's opp position after Matt Anderson retires which will be after this year's Olympics. Patch was the only one I saw that could've been as dominant as Matt

Agreed! He came in cold, and just move the ball around with such incredible volleyball IQ. Then gets warm and starts crushing the ball
Indeed- have always thought he has the most beautiful arm swing
USA has two players from Puerto Rico that are joining the team start of New Year
When volleyball is LIFE.
But rumor has it, he'll retire from the NT after Paris Olympics 🥺😭
Shoutout the GOAT coach Donny for always bringing us these amazing videos. High level volleyball from these courtside angles is breathtaking.
Appreciate that”!!
The back corner of the court is THE best angle. Great job, and thank you!
Matt subbing in for Kyle was a game changer
Micah is the new goat
its a pleasure seeing that kid play, he definitely earned his starting spot those sets after the first set money-time-block
and this is the best way to show the game... video taken from the floor!!! Great video.
Glad you enjoyed it!
The read by Micah at 21:30 is ABSURD!!
He baited him. Gotta love that. ❤
I legit think it's because he's a setter so he has really good instincts on where the setter on the opposing team is going
@@ShaunYan oh yes high level play.
Agreed. Textbook positioning for the go-ball. Wish I could clone a couple of Micah’s and spread the wealth on this.

13:41 makes me want to see Anderson play beach volleyball so bad!
This edits are the best I enjoy all the game without get bored thank you so much ❤
Eric Shoji's reaction at 17:08 is everything about that hit 😶
Micah with the huge dig
That first set is insane
Donny! Everyone’s one-stop shop for VB. Come on the podcast, dude.
I wish we could've seen a 100% Japan vs a 100% USA. Hopefully during the actual Olympics 😂

Thank you! 🎉🎉
Is 7:20 where the dude pulls the net?
amazing
Coach you accidentaly put this only in the VNL playlist so other people can’t see it
HOW DID YOU COMMENT 2 WEEKS BEFORE
Thanks! I actually just uploaded the test with the playlist, and then unlisted it for a later schedule. Appreciate the thought though!
@@アミノさん-x3v dudes a time traveller he's being very sloppy though
I need this perspective in a Wilfredo Leon game!
Garrett Muagututia is one of the smartest outside hitters on the US team---he does not get block
But at the same time I also feel like he has no impact at all. Maybe he is just a solid player that goes under the radar, but I dont rate him.
Micah’s two ridiculous roofings at 6:15 and 21:30 could not have come at a better time. Down 21-23 in the 1st and then again on match point.
19:22 number 17 just bulldozed over eric shoji 😂

Ma'a >
But i think Josh is playing professionally in a different league, that may be a longer season

I swear to God there are like 20 American outsides better than Garrett Muagututia
I think he is there for his defense and passing. I think he's a liability on offense. Also, Kyle couldn't get it together this game.
lmao probably true his armswing is so weird bro
I think the same. Really a shame because there is alot of talent in there and he gets the spot. But so do a lot of other guys imo...
