Pink shelves are a cute idea BUT the dark blue makes it more architecture digest and is really sophisticated and really allows the other aspects of the room to shine.
Keep the shelf 🎨colour as it is!.. It gives depth and richness to the bedroom!

I would definitly keep the bookcase blue and change the colour of the chair's legs (perhaps to a dark lilac that compliments the carpet and the headboard better). I like the effect of the little disco ball, great idea!
For sewing, if you don't have a serger to finish the seams so they don't fray I highly suggest pinking shears. Don't want them coming apart in the wash! :) Also double fold the hems as well.

Wow Hermione, I really love how this bedroom makeover turned out, I'm glad you left the blue in the bookcase it just really adds some color and vibe to that area. I recently painted my bedroom white, and I have that 70's paneling, so I had to give the walls three coats of Kilz which keeps the paneling from bleeding through the paint, then I painted the walls and trim and door white and now I have a beachy coastal vibe going on and I really love it. My next big project will be to paint the living room, but it will also have to have that Kilz because it's got that paneling as well. Thanks for sharing another wonderful video that always inspires me to get busy on a project I have been putting off. Looking forward to another video, sending love and hugs, bye for now.
I just love when you do these type of videos. Personally I say keep the blue shelfs and consider painting the legs of the chair in the same blue color.
I think a pale pink would look so much prettier than the dark blue in the bookcase. And maybe a soft gold color for the chair legs instead of the bright pink 🤗🌸💕✨

Also, on the top of the blue bookcase, in that open space, add larger plant, in the same color tones of the new green pillow, that is on the bed.

I would have voted for the pink, cuz it's Pink and I love pink, but then I saw the throw pillows in the navy and white and thought, you should definitely leave the blue! But I would paint the shelves the same white you painted your trim. Then use pink for accessories. Great job! 💝
