That other receiver was most likely Aiyuk. Zimmer has repeatedly said they had their eyes on him during that draft.
That was my guess watching it as well (Aiyuk would have been the pick) if Jefferson had gone to Philly. Especially when you consider how Spielman was talking about liking what Jefferson could do in the slot. Pretty sure there was no way that they were drafting Reagor.
Slick Rick with the moves. He has always drafted pretty decent. Shout out to him!
Except for drafting lineman for the majority of his time with the Vikings

Rick deserves another job in the NFL.
Facts.
Forget NFL, how about he drafts my fantasy football team for me?
He never deserved to lose his job IMO. Always a consummate professional and I was always a fan of his draft strategies. Feels like he always made the right move
His only negative is he never was able to draft a franchise quarterback.
Rick can't scout nor draft a QB to save his life and this is coming from a Vikings fan.
I’ll never forget watching that draft that day. Screaming at my tv as we drafted a TCU PLAYER OVWR AN LSU PLAYER FIRST OFF NOT TO MENTION JALEN
oh my god I knew we made a bad pic the second I watched it.
Now JJ is still the leagues best.
He was gonna take reagor if they took JJ. That’s why he isn’t saying anything 👀😂
Rick drafted Diggs in the fifth round and JJ as the fifth WR. So he drafted two All Pros.
Rick: Gets done explaining how nervous they were about the Eagles taking JJ, and says they had a backup plan.
Interviewer: Were you nervous about the Eagles taking Jefferson? Did you have a backup plan?
Also interviewer: Don't worry, dear audience, I promise won't ask him who the backup guy was, and I certainly won't ask him to elaborate about drafting Adrian Peterson!
Image Justine Jefferson on the Eagals now ! They'll definitely be the team to beat and be Super Bowl favorites !
Is that Justins sister? Idk how well she would do in the NFL
@@tsquirrel8675 lmao
FOOK DA eagle mothafooker!!
Even though that defensive couldn't stop cheeseburger eddie lacy from getting 10 yard run!😂😁😭💀 highly unlikely plus JJ would never play for a team or a fan base like the shitty eagles!😭💀
@@tsquirrel8675 what the hell are you talking about ? Who are you talking about , when you say is that justin sister ?
So glad he fell to us! Thank you Rick we love the best wr in the nfl
Not taking Jefferson was the best thing to happen to Philly in hind sight. Howie has been trying to correct that mistake every since and after that he dropped Wentz, drafted Davonta smith, picked up AJ Brown, Jalen Carter, Jordan Davis and Nolan Smith 😂😂😂. Trust it was best for Philly
Skol to slick Rick! Once a Vikings, always a Viking!
good ol slick rick
Rick has that draft year mixed up. They drafted during Covid, but the 2019 season was normal, and the NFL combine did happen before the shut down.
Kwesi’s draft has been a train wreck
By what metric?
@@russelllaviolette7515 traded within the division twice and gave up way too much in the first trade. Packers selected Watson who is looking like a stud. Both our first picks are hurt, one of them being Cine. The other safety we could have had (Hamilton) is grading out as one of the best safeties in the league. It might be too early to give the final verdict, but it doesn’t look great at this point.
@@Jedius98 you're such a casual
I will love to know if Rick wanted Justin Fields for the vikings or was it all a distraction to make the Bears pick him.
The other receiver probably Brandon ayuk.
or tee higgins
Howie rosemen did that, and than fleeced the saints and titans in the same draft 2 years later.
Im here becuz i cant for the life of me understand how justin jefferson got drafed in the mid 20s, just mindboggling....
Classic eagles missing out on JJ and misusing Reager anyways😂
Big Vikings fan and been listening to Rick talk for years. Never heard a more nasally sounding voice in my life
So far Rick trumps Kwesi, Vikings current GM. Kwesi first few Viking picks IR....
I feel like you can’t be too upset with a gm if they have their first two picks get injured. Especially with the Lewis Cine one where he didn’t even have a history of injuries.
Could you imagine Jefferson on the 🦅?
100% Aiyuk
Man can draft
I'm glad the Eagles suck at drafting!😂😭💀
he's not even in the league anymore....what's the point of being so cryptic? I don't get the secrecy. who cares?
He’ll be back as a GM somewhere soon
