In this video, Master Wanxing shares with us:
    (1) Chan Studies, Chan Practice, and Chan Quotient represent a gradual process of cultivation. They encompass knowledge, praxis, and application; and
    (2) Your approach to and success in worldly affairs indicate the level of your cultivation. If cannot do well in worldly affiars, meaning that one's knowledge and/or praxis are not complete and perfect.
Note 1: What is “Chan”, and how does it differ from "Zen" in the context of Buddhist school?
"Chan" is the transliteration of 禪 (chán) from Chinese, referring to the school of Mahāyāna Buddhism that established in ancient China and emphasizes the practical teaching and experiential realization of meditation. The term "Chan" is used predominantly in Chinese contexts and within Chinese Buddhism.
On the another hand, "Zen" is the transliteration of 禅 (zen) from Japanese, referring to the same school of Mahāyāna Buddhism as "Chan". Historically, after being introduced to Japan in the 12th century C.E., the Chinese Chan tradition interacted deeply with Japanese culture and characteristics, evolving into what is now known as the Zen school. This interaction led to the development of distinct Zen practices and schools, such as Rinzai and Soto. The term "Zen" is associated with Japanese culture and Buddhism.
