There’s another guy making a Catalyst Controller pretty much like this fretless faded but hasn’t restocked yet. 1000% want one either the Fretless or Catalyst. It would be so much better then using ultra pitch.

i think i've seen a demo of this every year or so since like 2008 or something....so was it that the fader controls the speed of the platter with MIDI in? People are going to be trying to get their hands on those Vestax decks even more now.
Yea I remember seeing this years ago and I believe you're correct. The Y-Axis is controlling the speed of the platter via MIDI. There's a video out there where he describes it.
We announced the partnership exactly 3 years ago. John could have sent out a subpar product 1 1/2 years ago. But he really really wants to make sure the end user gets a unit that would be just as good as some of the hand made units he has created. The final steps have been taken to send these into production. You will be able to order a Fretless this year. On another note...you dont need a midi turntable. This works with Pitch N time and Traktors key change. Technically you could use this with any mixer/turntable combo. But for real vinyl you can actually use any of the Vestax midi decks but the new Reloop Rp800Mk2 already have pitch play and you can usb into the turntable and control the speed of the platter. So you can actually buy a brand new turntable and use it with the FF.
Hmm, I wonder if a pitch pedal would be easier? Seems like cutting would be difficult since your always in need of a pivot as your lowering and rising fader.

You can use any of the pre installed scales. You can choose how many notes are in the slide. For example, you can select certain notes, create your own scales, you can cram 24 notes in that travel or as little as 2 notes. Pretty dope stuff. John has really thought this through.
