For the last Rocky movie they did the fight in-between rounds of a real boxing match in Vegas and evidently the scripted fight was better then the real one and the chanting for Rocky and everything was not planned and just real reactions.

I think the John Wick series is the best recent example of "fake fights" done right, but that's only because Reeves & Co actually put in the work ahead of time and focus on nailing as many small details as possible, instead of relying solely on editing and cgi to fill in all the gaps.

This fight was choreographed to be gripping and entertaining, so let's as fans lean into it and we'll all have a good time together
Unfortunately, most non Pro-wrestling followers only know of the product WWE puts out, which is, for the most part, quite weak in comparison to the lesser known yet much more entertaining products such as RoH, AAA, NJPW, CMLL, Dragon Gate.... etc. As a former avid Pro-wrestling fan myself, it's disheartening where the industry is now. Fight fans only know of WWE and think all Pro-wrestling is the same.
I can't imagine the pressure those actors are on. I feel nervous acting in front of the classroom let alone a real UFC audience. They are real professionals.

I think they did the same thing in Rocky or some other ring-fighting movie. A match had just taken place in the arena and the film crew asked for people to stay so they could shoot their own fight and everyone was totally on board

I think the John Wick series is the best recent example of "fake fights" done right, but that's only because Reeves & Co actually put in the work ahead of time and focus on nailing as many small details as possible, instead of relying solely on editing and cgi to fill in all the gaps.

Unfortunately, most non Pro-wrestling followers only know of the product WWE puts out, which is, for the most part, quite weak in comparison to the lesser known yet much more entertaining products such as RoH, AAA, NJPW, CMLL, Dragon Gate.... etc.

Dude just pumps out cult classics still, haven't heard of them(well duh). Enemy (and my favorite Dennis villeneuve film), broke back, Donnie Darko, Night crawler, Jar Head, Brothers, Velvet Buzzsaw, the Guilty, knocked all those roles out of the park, only a few were big budget. He's got another 15 or so I have to see, my favorite active actor right now
