Dan, honestly I can't tell you how much your sleep story compilations have helped me, I've struggled so badly with sleep, and these give me a magical place to go and even if I wake up its still there to go bk into. Dan the past few videos I can't listen to because I have to put the volume on Max on my ear phones to hear your voice. I miss hearing you at night. I'll have to listen when I can put on a louder speaker on just not tonight
When that happens on my phone, I go to the channel and scroll to some that I know will work for me. Some nights when I'm really having difficulty sleeping, I'll try 10 or more different videos before one works, even if they've worked for me before. I hope this works for you!
I've not been making my videos any differently, so I'll have to see if I can figure out why that is? I make them all exactly the same process as I've used over the last 18 months or so, with the original audio recording, the processing of I've audio to make sure that the volume of each track is the same loudness, then turning the audio into video. So say my end whole making these everything is still looking as it always has, that the voice is between -3dB and -9dB and background sounds are around -30dB. So I don't know if there is a problem my end or maybe a change in UA-cam's compression and processing? The videos to me still sound the same on my phone when I listen. I have more scheduled stories but will try to figure out the problem before the next thing I upload, even if I just have to have the audio pressing at 0dB (the reason this isn't normally recommended is that UA-cam processing can end up making anything over about -3dB clip and obviously you don't want the audio to be clipping due to being too loud). All of these stories have been previously released on my channel over the last few years, so in the case of this video I just combined all the previous videos and then added the background rain and thunder at about -40dB so that the thunder wasn't too loud when it sounded... So this video is essentially not a new video but a collection of older videos put together, so I don't know if that has made this one quieter or louder than others I've made entirely new? Things are always louder through headphone than through mobile phone speakers and so you would usually lower the volume when listening through headphones, and you also normally notice more detail, so rain on a window through phone speakers might just sound like background static, but through headphones you can clearly hear it is rain on a window and often notice subtle background sounds like distant cars etc...
Apart from my wife I almost never interact with others and maybe once per year or less have meals with others other than my wife and when I do I try not to talk if possible, do people around me are safe from my voice...
Just connecting my streaming software to my UA-cam channel, but had to go to the streaming setup to access the streaming key and for some reason UA-cam just made it go live as soon as I connected the two... So technically for about 9 seconds I did go live...
