Reading some comments I can only see how many people don't understand anything from what they see. The emotions between the two, their impossible try to reach each other, the pain, the sad end- you are here not only to listen to the music, but also understand the act and the message.
Amazing
Beautifully sensitive rendition of this classic.
Absolutely beautiful, loved the choreography of the two artists, and so thought provoking to see the man on the escalator going nowhere.
Passion and heart felt for this version. Love the style as well.
This was such a pleasure to listen to.
So beautiful! I love the dancers and creaking sounds. Just so dreamy and magical 🖤
What a lovely way to start the morning
I want such a bubble swingy thing whatever you'd call them
beautiful and heart-wrenching
A heart-touching art piece!
So bealtifull and so emotional.
The playing was absolutely PHENOMENAL, but I'm not gonna lie--those white-robed, ball/teardrop (?) people caught me off guard, damn-near caused me to crack a rib laughing.
They actually match the scene in the piano where she falls down in her ballooning dress after her finger gets cut off. So it makes sense lol, and the white is for purity she was in a black dress. If you know the symbolism it’s beautiful but if you don’t it’s weird lol
Omg I looked just like this lady as a teen and had a black shift dress like this and this was the first song I ever learned on piano and I wanted it so bad I never learned any other song better! Now I play it on ukulele, my soul instrument lol.
I was a red head with that cut and everything omg I was so beautiful as a teen, lol none of the boys caught on
Thank you, this is so touching...
Superbe pour les yeux et les oreilles
As nice as the music and performance art was, I have to say I really appreciated the single shot cinematography work. Captured the different parts of the whole scene quite nicely for us without ever feeling awkward.
oh wow I didn't notice the single shot at first - so cool!
I really think Michael Nyman (composer of this wonderful piece of music) deserves a more prominent credit than you have given him. I did eventually manage to find his name right at the bottom...Vanessa's has faithfully copied the performance on the original recording (from 'The Piano' soundtrack album) but the composer should be mentioned in the title sequence. None of this lovely video production would have been possible without his original work.
Nit picking this is super famous and not hard to find.
everyone knows this song dude
I read that this song is a Scottish song "Gloomy Winter's Noo Awa" and the title is from a poem by Emily Dickenson but Michael Nyman still deserves credit.
This composition was based on a 19th century Scottish song, Gloomy Winter's Noo Awa. It's on UA-cam. The title is from Emily Dickinson's poem. Still , he made it more melodious and therefore, easier to listen to. The Heart Asks Pleasure First was nominated for original film score but lost to Schindler's List.
Perhaps you missed the guy walking up the down escalator @ 2:23
this was special, and a life saver. Thank you
The heart ask pleasure first.... Composed by Michael Nyman..... Jane Campion... Holly Hunter and Ana Paquin Oscar Winners... Harvey Keitel and Sam Neill.... Brutal drama
wonderful.

Very beautiful
WoW... 👍👏👏👏
Das ist wahrlich Kunst.
❤' liche Grüße, Moni von Ede. 😍❤❤❤
Que lindo😍
Wow
Beautiful music
Amazing interpretation but…..
Give me the ocean view anytime
Thunderous waves sea spray grey clouds rolling 🖤
GOOD FEELING
Sehr ästhetisch! DAS ist Kunst!
Lindo!🙏❤️💐👏👏👏🇧🇷🖖
Balance
Weebles wobble but they don't fall down!
(But the piano performance is lovely)
The yanni song "reflection of passion" also suitable for this type of art.
Choreographer : Yoann Bourgeos
Performance : Jean-Yves Phuong & Marie Vaudin"
Guy at 2:30 is literally going nowhere on that escalator
I think he is trying to go up the down escalator 😂😂😂
At 2:39...the right side escalator is going down😂😂😂

Oof. This is good.
I don't know what this was but I liked it.
"Mother wanted me to give this to Mr Bains. I thought it might not be the proper thing to do."
Me too I would love one of these floaty swingy things where can we purchase one from let me know if anyone knows. also trying to play this piece sooooooooooooooooooooooo hard but soooooooooooooooooo beautiful thank you Denise linen
do me a favour amd link that notes
Gorgeous piano. WTF is up with the human bowling pins though?🤣🤣
How much do bop bag people get paid per hour? Asking for a friend
Weebles wobble but they don't fall down. Google it.
LOLOLOL
It sounds feeble😢
No
This is what happens when too much emotion clouds the mind from achieving better artistic executions, and the 'tear-drop' couple on the inflated balls was just weird and distracting. The heart may ask for pleasure first, but the strange couple teetering back and forth was just out of place for this.
😂😂😂😂
Tbh she is a greaat pianist but i dont think slowing down and getting so fast at some spots are necessarely ment to be played like that. It sounds cool but it loses its magical "flow" to it as this way it gets interrupted all the time. This song is more like a flowing, flying piece, a bit like Fly from Intouchables, and that song would be also ruined if messed with the rythm so hard like here
L’art n’a aucun but ni forme.
Amicalement
Amazing
