Came home at 10.30am to find Rachel from accounts speaking from a podium on TV! If she's up there then who's doing the coffee run?

Southworth is typical of many British Chambers I am sorry to say. The UK has the highest cost base, exponential energy costs and utterly insane regulation. I work with global and multinational businesses in terms of risk, corporate structure and M@A. They thought that opportunity would come from Brexit. The previous government were incompetent and maintained the status quo. So for the past 15 years I have mainly worked on projects which stripped pretty much everything out of the Eurozone countries. The UK was spared that wave because it was thought government would use the opportunity to enhance competetiveness etc. Then we got the netzero rubbish. Energy and costs spiralled out of control and then this government who seem to be doing everything possible to utterly destroy a business based in Britain's chances of competing internationally in every way. In fact, they seek to tie us to the sinking ship which is the EU as it goes under. I was a director of an overseas chamber of commerce. Southworth is a good example of many UK based senior leaders of chambers. They were given a license to print money in some respects. So they have absolutely no clue about competetive pressures abroad. Businesses, very large and strategic ones are drawing up late stage plans to do exactly what they have been doing to operations across the EU and Eurozone. This is 'red alert' time. A tsunami of business flight is building the like of which I have never seen in a long career.

When councils only have biweekly or even monthly pickup of bins, is it a surprise that there's a fly-tipping or littering problem.

CHRIS SOUTHWORTH I INTERNATIONAL CHAMBER OF COMMERCE UK really doesn’t have a clue - is he a Labour Activist?
Before you can increase GDP you need to have the appropriate financial policies and understand how to develop company’s and innovate. He shows no signs of having that understanding - it was complete waffle. The Labour Party are following a corporatist agenda which does not create growth.

Southworth sums up what is wrong with Commerce, a SPAD for Heseltine & is on G7, G20 committees. A pro-globalist not pro-Britain!🤦‍♀️👎

love the show - love Mike loads, but today dont agree with the remarks about the bowl screening kit. Why would you not uptake the opportunity to maybe identify early stage bowl cancer? Its a very common cancer with no symptoms in early stages.

Companies need to make a profit in order to invest in their future. The alternative is borrowing, and paying interest.

It seems that private companies making money is the last thing Labour want! They look down on successful businesses and companies!

Re: Interview w/Roger Bolton, the former BBC producer. BBC needs to pare the several hundred-to-millions of pounds paid to news readers and other BBC personnel.
I grew up watching a TV but now only stream on my tablet. I think the main audience for TVs are older folks, seniors (not saying there aren't a few younger folk who also watch on TVs).
