Cats are extremely resistant to exposing their abdomen. My cat would never accept being held like this. I just put my arm behind her rear so she can't recoil backward when I brush her teeth. Another thing I started getting her used to what I was doing when she was a kitten. An adult cat who hasn't been accustomed to brushing will really resist this.

it's like brushing your own teeth and then eating candies as a reward

That's a creative analogy! While it might seem counterintuitive, the reward for brushing your teeth is the long-term health benefits, just like with our product and the health benefits it provides for your pet's dental hygiene.

😂 it's best to start em young! But it's never too late. Just start off with their fave liquid treat on their toothbrush.

U dont need to brush their inside surfaces of teeth since their tongue will do the work so just do the surface teeth and even just applying it directly to the teeth is enough just make sure to get all the back ones too

Pro tip for ornery cats. I training my cat from a young age but she is a handful. I’ve found the best time is when she’s totally asleep! She’s confused and doesn’t register it correctly. We use malt flavored toothpaste she likes it but hers treats after

For the health of everyone’s pets. Please read the book “Food Pets Die” For by Ann N. Martin. (Don’t use the recipes in the back though because they are not balanced). Also, look up Susan Thixton. Dogs and cats can live much longer than what you think is long. Kibble keeps animals alive but the animal is not thriving. It creates degenerative diseases (diabetes, arthritis, atherosclerosis, osteoporosis, cancer, kidney and declining cognitive function and more) that show up later and owners put it down to old age. Feeding kibble, a highly processed food, puts your pets in a state of constant inflammation. Please educate yourself and don't be brain-washed by big commercial food companies and Big Pharma that fund vet schools. Kibble is dead food with no living enzymes. It is not human grade food. You need to feed your animals human grade food. Kibble is made from euthanized animals including your pets, from diseased and slaughtered animals from road kills and they even add feces and a lot worse stuff. There have been many recalls regarding pentobarbital (the drug used for euthanizing pets) found in commercial pet food. Big pet food companies lace the kibble with addictive stuff such as fats and more, to MAKE your animals eat the garbage, otherwise pets would not eat the stuff. Take control of your pets’ lives and your own because food companies do it to people too. PLEASE FEED YOUR PETS A SPECIES APPROPRIATE DIET, which is basically a balanced raw food diet. If you do not know what this is, please research and educate yourselves then pass on the information to other people. You can start with Dr. Karen Becker DVM regarding raw feeding for pets. Never stop educating yourselves in regards to proper nutrition for your pets. Remember, cats are obligate carnivores.

Sure wish I had started doing this 10 years ago. I love my kitties but my bad-teeth girl doesn't like to be touched except for kisses on her forehead. She only has 14 teeth left, I'd love to delay the dentals she needs every other year. I'm still going to get the toothbrush. Even if I can only touch one tooth a day, it will only take 2 weeks to do her whole mouth! :D

It's never too late to try! Just start off by putting some of your favourite kitty's liquid treat (they usually love churu!) on the brush and have them lick it off and do this for the first few weeks so so your kitty gets comfortable and familiar with the toothbrush and can associate it with something positive. Always remember to use positive reinforcement after each try!

My cat will not be held or handled, but she insists I hold a toothbrush out every night so she can bite on it, and Ive eventtually gotten to the point where she lets me scrub her teeth a little. I can't find a toothpaste she likes, but I'll try coconut oil!

Why is the kitty shaved? I've always heard that unnecessarily shaving a cat ruins their coat.

Helps with painful fur matting ☺️

Its also a way to protect them from spear grass which can imbed itself if it gets attached to their fur or be injested when they are grooming

For us, one of us is very allergic to cats. In order to combat these allergies, we have found that shaving and regular grooming/baths helps with the dander so that we can all live in happy and healthy peace. We wanted to make sure to try everything so that we didn't have to give up our babies. This is what works for our family and the kitties tolerate it soooo well.
