John Swinney says Douglas Ross 'behaved abominably' over election decision

- Douglas Ross’s position as Scottish Tory leader has been “significantly undermined” after he chose to stand as a General Election candidate over colleague David Duguid, John Swinney has said.
Ross is facing a revolt from senior colleagues over his u-turn on standing again for Westminster. Several of his MSPs challenged his decision at an internal meeting on Thursday morning.
A party source also predicted Ross would face a vote of no confidence after the general election.
