Joni's my generation. Loved her music and thought this to be her best song. This version - I don't know what I was expecting but it is absolutely, hauntingly beautiful. The combination of her voice, tone, diction and scaled back beat is mesmerizing. Very well done! 💖👏👏💖
Rolls and flows of angel hair And ice cream castles in the air Feather canyons everywhere I've looked at clouds that way But now they only block the sun They rain and snow on everyone So many things I would've done But clouds got in my way I've looked at clouds from both sides now From up and down and still somehow It's cloud illusions I recall I really don't know clouds at all Moons and Junes and Ferris wheels The dizzy dancing way you feel As every fairy tale comes real I've looked at love that way But now it's just another show You leave 'em laughing when you go And if you care don't let them know Don't give yourself away I've looked at love from both sides now From give and take and still somehow It's love's illusions I recall I really don't know love at all Tears and fears and feeling proud To say, I love you right out loud Dreams and schemes and circus crowds I've looked at life that way But now old friends are acting strange They shake their heads, they say I've changed But something's lost when something's gained In living everyday I've looked at life from both sides now From win and lose and still somehow It's life's illusions I recall I don't know life at all
A more pulsated rhythm... I didn't expect this beat ....But it's interesting (very attractive, a bit low and a bit frankly voice but still a kind of sad restless cuteness...)...three other names: Joni Mitchell (in 2000), Julio Bernardo Euson (in 1971), Mary Fahl (in 2013) and a fourth Judy Collins (1987)...and of course there are more very nice performances.. No competing. To me it's not important, who sings it the best. This song is all about the existence of life. And of course a nice voice is very helpful .... But to feel that the performing is honestly reflecting and contemplating about the "subject life" ...that's what counts. And the "thrill" is in the discovering of the different way of ventilating these feelings. That makes it so intriguing. ...And I'm not out of musing about this rendition.

I love this cover. I adore the song, and Rachael has really nailed it, for a new generation.
Maria Fernandez musically, she made it older than the original. I love it, but it's not modernised.
Wow, just amazing! Please go see her live, she is just amazing!

lyrics
Rolls and flows of angel hair
And ice cream castles in the air
Feather canyons everywhere
I've looked at clouds that way
But now they only block the sun
They rain and snow on everyone
So many things I would've done
But clouds got in my way
I've looked at clouds from both sides now
From up and down and still somehow
It's cloud illusions I recall
I really don't know clouds at all
Moons and Junes and Ferris wheels
The dizzy dancing way you feel
As every fairy tale comes real
I've looked at love that way
But now it's just another show
You leave 'em laughing when you go
And if you care don't let them know
Don't give yourself away
I've looked at love from both sides now
From give and take and still somehow
It's love's illusions I recall
I really don't know love at all
Tears and fears and feeling proud
To say, I love you right out loud
Dreams and schemes and circus crowds
I've looked at life that way
But now old friends are acting strange
They shake their heads, they say I've changed
But something's lost when something's gained
In living everyday
I've looked at life from both sides now
From win and lose and still somehow
It's life's illusions I recall
I don't know life at all
Great cover wonderfully husky voice
heartbreaking track...and so much devotion in her demeanor :)
