Hey guys, we would love to hear your thoughts and feedback. Whether it be good or bad! Drop a comment and let us know what parts you liked or didn't like. What you might want to see more of and/or less of! ⛏⚒
Going to try doing it more and more! Makes the editing process a lot longer (especially adding the masked-in images to go along with it) but I think it's worth it. Thanks for watching Gary!
Nice digs guys, I was a digger back in the day(1965-2018) in Canada then got back problems, so I took up metal detecting, which is almost the same just easier on the back, I hit the subscribe button, so I can keep up.
Really appreciate it! Glad you enjoyed. I bet you dug some great stuff back in the day! Have any old digging photos or even video footage? Ryan has been metal detecting for quite a while, but I (Shayne) am pretty new to it. Definitely just as fun! At least if you're digging decent targets 🤣
Man you’re making me wanna dig a pit so bad!! I think my favorite piece is the yellow ware chamber pot. I also really liked the bottle name and pics along with the finds
Thanks for the feedback dude! Really appreciate it 🙏 if you're ever in the area, reach out and we will get you in a pit! We have been digging some good ones. Next video is gonna be the same yard shown here. Then the one after that is an 1810s house we found the original pit to and dug some insaneeee early stuff!
Exciting episode guys 👍🏻👍🏻 Those great bend druggists are nice. I like that little Killgore. The Amber flask had great character. At 9:00 I had my fingers crossed for Cough cure or Ocean weed. Somewhere out there is a farm dump with a pile of them yet to be discovered. Liked seeing the Hero puzzle come together. The yellow ware shard being in the pot was awesome. Love all the Bingo squats. That Jersey bot is interesting. Also like the winslows knock off. That little jug will display great. Congrats to all and Look forward to the next...😎⚡️🍀🍻
Haha thanks Steve! Hope you enjoyed the vid man. We have one more vid from this yard, then the next vid after that is gonna be a real banger! Early earlyyyyy stuff! That's one you definitely won't want to miss!
Sweet! I'll look into that. I've seen some people do amazing work. I don't think this jug is "worthy" of a professional repair, so doing some sort of amateur repair myself would probably be the best bet. Thanks Kristi! Hope you enjoyed the vid
The short, aqua pottery item might be an egg cup or an alum pinch vessel? If you ever find out what it is, please let us know!! Too exciting. Loved watching. Keep on digging~!
We found out its a rouge pot (sort of like a pestle and mortar) from about the 1830-1840s. Digger Dave digs an identical one in the beginning of one of his latest videos. Even the same color. Thanks!!
Cool dig. The hero jars with ine, we're the female component. A female hero is a heroine. Yes same pronunciation as the drug. Cool stuff down there. Pa is great for old pits.
@@ParlorCityPickersDiggers also if ya ever come west a bit, I'm in the very northern most tip of wv .. about 29 min from downtown Pittsburgh. We have a 70 acre farm with an old stone bridge dated 1878 (date carved in the stone) AND I found a big trash pit. There are lots of old grist mills and old foundations made of cut stone here as well. I have not dug any pits as I have no clue how to probe. Nothing I can find for the area on the Sanborn maps either but I'm not great at reading those. So.. if u ever come this way I'd be happy to let ya come dig, and I have a couple metal detectors if ya feel like walking the old road. It was the main route through former clay county ev (now hancock county) back before they put rt 2 along the Ohio River. Can also take u to tons of places here. Old clay mines, the old brick factory, the former weirton steel (featured in the movie super 8 as Lilian steel) ect. Probably a couple hour drive from Binghamton. I know it takes me 5 hrs to Niagara, about 4 hrs to buffalo. Never been to Binghamton so not positive. But if you follow pa 18 you'll come right up on us. Or rt 22 past star lake amphitheater. So yeah if u guys feel like a road trip let me know. Bring a tent u can camp here if u want. We also have a 4 seat side by side and tons of trails, waterfalls, hill climbs, ect if u guys bring an atv or bike with ya. And there's places to skeet shoot and fish close.
I'm curious if you have rules on splitting up the treasures? I am a craft glass maker and use the broken glass for my glasswork. It is much easier to work with. I also keep medicine bottles to make up displays for doctors' offices. Very appealing when backlit. With and without chips and cracks. Congrats on your great finds. Who is your researcher?
@kennethcapron1294 We usually "draw straws" to see who gets first pick, then just go back and forth picking what we want. We are all fair with each other. We all do research but for the most part, Ryan does the research and me (Shayne) knocks on the door and gets the permission. We make a good team!
Ok. Since you asked...this is my first viewing of your videos and I loved the finds! But. Too many people talking at once. Sorry, but it's distracting and, well, somewhat annoying. In my humble opinion. Perhaps fewer guesses and just wait until the piece is uncovered. On the pro side, good job with showing the good finds. Good job with showing the cleaned find and with the advertising graphics. P.S. Bennington did not make flowerpots.

@Beanieweenieable Ignorance would be letting a silly word such as "dude" bother you that much. It's not like it's a slur.. Yes we say dude. Maybe one, two, three too many times? When we get excited, the dudes come out. Didn't think it was a big deal 🤣

Mrs H and I really enjoy the enthusiasm you guys show when digging. The banter is funny and good natured. Keep it up lads!
Thanks a bunch!!
Was a fun pit. Wish more was complete.
Sameeee! But was a fun one, for sure!
Man! So much killer stuff that was broken. Still some dam nice finds!!
Thanks Jesse! Definitely wish more was intact, but still had a great time and managed to still find some good stuff undamaged
Nice video. Fun pit!
Awesome finds! Enjoyed watching and can't wait for the next one!
Much appreciated!! Glad you enjoyed
Great finds guys, that pit was full of surprises

You guys are in some really great bottles. You know it's a good day when you are digging pontiled bottles.
Thanks Gary! Absolutely. We try to target the older houses

The small clear glass piece that you thought was a bottom of a cruet is not a cruet. It is part of a desktop ink set I believe.
Makes sense! Thanks Kristi
good privy hunt boys im in rhode island find mine after storms washed up
in Otselic NY?
Do yall also get the broken china and pottery? Some look like all the pieces are there. I dig and reassemble stuff like that
If its really ornate/early and most of the pieces are there.
Would you mind sharing how you approach going door knocking?
I just basically introduce ourselves and explain what we do. Then just ask permission
@@ParlorCityPickersDiggers what would you say your rate of getting permission is?

What is the green stubby pottery jar on the right at the cleanup? I was hoping you would show it 😅
Hey Betty, I found out later on that it's an early c1830-40s "rouge pot" / makeup mortar.
sorry I didn't show it more in the cleanup! At the time, I didn't know much about it

The green pot is an ointment pot, probably French, c. 1850
Yeah we saw Digger Dave dug one in a recent video of his. He said 1830s and his was the same color/style. He called it a rouge pot
Pop's here. You need a little hand rake.
We have a bunch of them. Sometimes we get stuck in the moment and don't pause to go and fetch them from the truck
What is a pannled baddle donu mean pontiled bottle
Lol yes
ofc they are common they arnt broken thats why are "common" cos they are well made an dont break lol
Has more to do with the amount of them that were produced rather than the quality of glass, but there is some truth to that as well
