You write better than my literally "trying-hard-to-make-it-perfect" handwriting. You are absolutely amazing! *bows*
That ink is such a beautiful color, and so smooth!
It's interesting and relaxing to watch how you do Kanji. Nice channel, I'm subscribing 😊👌
Thank you!
It's pretty hard to write horizontal strokes from left to right when you're left handed...
Adrian Morada Ikr
Google underwriting for lefthanders. It works
On a short kanji class in Kyoto I was told to use my right hand, although I'm left handed. This turned out to be less difficult than I expected, as it's all a matter of arm movement, with no part of your arm or hand touching the paper.
Yeah! It's difficult because almost all (or all) kanji, hiragana and katakana start from the left *;-;* (I write starting from the right, I make my rules hahahaha)
The only problem with that is, if you don't know what a kanji means, and you need to draw it into a mobile device or even draw it for a japanese person, neither will know what you are drawing. Stroke order is very important to writing kanji. Either learn the underwriting technique or practice with your right hand. It really only takes a little practice for your off hand to get with the program.
really useful, thank you so much!!
Very soothing to watch
Thank you!
Muchas gracias por compartir tus conocimientos!

您的字寫得很漂亮啊, 值得一讚 , 努力 ! 漢字是東方文化的載體 , 再難也很學, 没法 .
Is it always top to bottom before left to right, or are there kanji that prioritize left to right over top to bottom?
What kind of brush and paint are you using?

I kind of didn't understand the fifth point! ( A crossing stroke is always last)!when we write sensei ,while writing (sei) the horizontal stroke is 3rd ,y not last?
Because kanji stroke order is messed up. Look up the stroke order of 必 (かなら[ず]). It doesn't make sense while the Chinese stroke order makes more sense.
Look at 右 (みぎ) and 左 (ひだり). They messed that up too. Compare that to the Chinese stroke order.
Also, in Chinese, 田 the horizontal stroke is written 3rd. In Japanese it is 4th.
Don't get me wrong, I love Kanji (and Japanese writing in general) and that's why I'm learning it. Even in Taiwan, there are differences in stroke order compared to that in mainland China.
So, i guess there really is no answer "why" since they can't even agree which stroke order to use. Lol. I guess stroke order doesn't really matter much, as long as you remember to write the radicals in the correct order.
are only teachers allowed to use 朱砂 ink?
3:10 what does that symbol mean? I se it as the ”red dragon” in mahjong but idk what it means
Means 中 naka - inside/in
It means “middle”
means China
I heard in a documentary that some kids are taught to write the kanji with breathing exercises, like meditation. And they do it in pen because you can't erase it and you learn to do it carefully. It sounded super cool but I can't find any info or details about this. Can anyone tell me about it? Apparently you have to breath out when doing strokes...or maybe it was in between. I can't remember, hence my search for info.
*it's 2am why am i here*
Please make a separate video only on Japanese calligraphy please
thats hilarious ")
can you tell the easy way to learn kanji
is it the same as Chinese chaligraphy?
Sometimes the stroke order change from Chinese to Japanese. You should check on the online dictionaries or at least on your Chinese book the stroke order of an Hanzi/kanji when you are in difficulty. I hope it helps. ^_^
and the pronunciation changes

I have ordered a Shuji kit for my daughter, but her Japanese school is closed for the C-v-d virU$. I am having trouble signing up for your online course. Is your course still available?

一二三
the awkward silence when he was writing
Shodophone
Kanji’s that he wrote
(First)the number 3
(Second)river(kawa)
(Third)I forgot :(
(Forth)I forgot:(
(Fifth)flag (naka)
3rd is Bamboo
4th is soil/earth
And i think the 5th means middle/between
三 "three"
川 "river"
竹 "bamboo"
士 "samurai", "warrior" (note that in 土 or "earth, soil", the bottom horizontal stroke is longer than the central one, whereas here in the video, the bottom stroke is shorter than the central one)
中 or "middle"
that's the reason of the guy writing it, not affected by the ink :)
Is it just me, or I didn't breathe while he's stroking...
the last kanji is written bad
And I'm broke
?、incorrect...
It didn't help
Ok nice
Kinda complicated, nit gonna lie 😢
