....."Today's not eventually, today's Tuesday. So we're just gonna paint like it's Tuesday." Dude, you crack me up!
Maybe start a special fund for commenters who want to see the 555 with a complete uniform color after repairs are made? Thank you for all the great content especially the humor. Truly appreciated!
That's Good!!Get the backhoe all cleaned and prettied up,some contrasting paint schemes,(which does look good on equipment!!),and then when you take it back out to work,it's gonna have an easier life, you won't want to scratch, ding,or dirty it up!!A boulevard cruiser for sure!! Can't hardly wait till we see it cruising the circuit, you'll definitely stand out!! 😎😎😎
Mike, I like your definition of the word, 'perfect'. You have a great sense of humor. This 555 will look and operate so well when you are finished that someone will swing by and offer you big money for it. Blessing to you and the Admiral.
Mike, I gotta say your commentary in this video just made me laugh out load, my wife was
wondering what the heck I was watching. Thanks for a most enjoyable post.
Wednesday paint. Thursday paint runs. Haha. Looking very nice. Stay safe
You are the king of fixer upper restorations. I love the way you take these old pieces of equipment and restore and refurbish them. Your channel has become one of my favorites.
"What you should have done...." you'll have to check other comments for that. I just enjoy sitting back and watching your videos.
Ford 555 Yellowjacket! Now that’s a woody name.
You said in another video that people had asked how much you wanted for the 555, but it wasn't for sale. A lot of people will never realize the pride and satisfaction that comes from building/fixing your own stuff. Some things money just can't buy.
I do this with my Ethan Allen furniture
great work on the backhoe! Love your carefree attitude, keep those OCD people cringing 🤣🤣
lol Tuesday painting is alwayssss better than Wednesday. Looking good bud!
I love watching you work on stuff. You are so funny to listen to when you try to explain how things are going. I sit and laugh. Honestly you make my day a lot better simply because of the way you go about working on stuff from your concrete boathouse to the backhoe you have become one of my favorite channels to watch.
Cap watching you move those weights around made my hernia hurt 😂!! Really am liking the Triple 5 series. Gonna be a Beast when you are done.
MBTS will be proud.
Match's the John deer yellow🤣🤣 well close, close enough is good enough for a Ford 555 now transforming into a deer 555.
Another great video.
I like the saying we are painting like it is a Tuesday.
I think that Sausage Fingers Kevin is gonna be jealous when he sees your work? Maybe Clint will hire you to do his painting now? LOL, good job sir, going to look nice when as you move along with the upgrade. Thanks for taking us along again Mike.
Pretty cool! My grandpa always used to say” get a little dirt on it and no one will notice”
“plate weight”, that’s what I’m taking about.
Great video,
Thank you sir.
You have probably called her admiral alot of times on here and I've missed it but I about snorted my pop out my nose when I heard you say that! Thank you very much for a good laugh Captain Mike!!!!
It's always a good thing to have some of the current jobs paint on your shirt so that when you go to the store for those go faster /stronger stripes, you can match them without having the whole backhoe with you.
It just makes sense.
Don’t worry about the people that didn’t listen to you mention that the POR15 was only a primer and that you already had the MBTS approved shade of yellow to cover it, because those same people will continue to not listen to the details you cover in this and future videos. 😉
Yes MBTS is very happy with the yellow.
That yellow paint makes it structurally stronger too 😆
Better mileage also! 😂
AND it tastes good too!!!!!
And it glows in the dark for be visablety😅😊
It wasn’t clear enough the first time, this time was much better Captain and sunk into my thick skull 😂😂 Great job in getting a jump on Bones new skin!! Great video as always Mike!!! 👍🇺🇸
Oh boy the 555 is a clearance looker
Looking good Mike. The bevels on the plates are good, more weld is better than not enough. The paint colour! Who's machine is this anyway, don't worry about the comments. If someone wants a perfect match they can buy you the "proper" paint. Keep Smilin Son.
They can not only buy it but help paint. Why are people so critical of other people work.
@@salmonhunter7414 the world is full of experts that make no mistakes and own nothing.
Looking good! I've learned that if I watch to the end of your video I usually have my questions answered. Thanks Mike.
Great work captain it makes my back ache watching you pick those plates just a young man's game
Paint on sale is perfect color 😊
I have a lot of stuff painted with Lowes ‘mis-tinted’ paint. They sell it for half price. Some of the colors are as ugly as a mud fence… but all are painted!
I think Clint is going to want that gem back!
The ole girl is gonna be just so beautiful when you gettin done🎉 👍👏🙋♀️💖🇨🇱
Cap't just love your video's, maybe it's your personality and attitude in getting it done.
I don’t thank I have ever commented on any of your videos before,I just have to say your humor crakes me up!!! Love watching your project videos, keep up the good work and just being you
The Backhoe is looking beautiful. Can hardly wait until it's all said and done! Great job, Captain! 😊
I’m sure DP would have let you have MBTS’s yellow paint 😂
you know what Mike she would look beautiful even if you left her alone👍🏼
Looking really good Mike! Glad to see it coming together for ya
The suspense is killing me!
Absolutely a great video Mike I love the way how righteous people think they are when it’s not even their own money or anything else other than to watch it they got a complain. Have a great day.
"Paint like its Tuesday" so funny! Love your content! Keep it up!
Love your outros! When you're done, you're done!
Love watching you work Mr. Mike, you are nothing less than impressive!!!
Dirt Perfet sure is a nice guy to let you borrow/rent his stuff. That's how you know he is a friend. good work, keep it up. All the best from Colorado.
borrow? 🤭
Great, you were able to get some more work done on the 555 😁
The 3/4 plate will be better in the long run, and more room for welding too.
Paint job is up to shade tree standards, mellow yellow all the way, Captain 😂
The 555 was really lucky that you adopted it. Otherwise it very possibly would be in the bone yard. By the time your done it will be as close new as anyone could get it. Good job, Mike! (As usual)
No one works harder than you Mike, you’re inspirational and a damn decent bloke . That backhoe is looking great, I prefer the original yellow but hey, you gotta work with what you got ( excellent work ) 👍 would love to see how the bridge is holding up 👍 I’ve been watching your channels from the start and now it feels like checking in with a mate ( that means friend in Britain 🤣😂 )👍 Thank you for the pleasure that is your videos. Best wishes to you and your family, from Britain 👍👍🇺🇸🇬🇧
Clean, shiny and versatile when complete - just what the Captain requires. Looking good.
Captain, paints just fine.
A couple of clear coats would slightly alter the yellow shade and protect it from scratches but you're on a budget so no big deal.
As a former 2nd shift Ironworker union welder my junior and senior years of high and plus a year and a half post high school with a pre Ironworker union academi welding technology diploma I gotta say I was impressed that you beveled those plates before you welded them in a future episode.
Weld penitration makes a huge difference if ya don't want busted welds.
I think you're doing an awesome job restoring the 555.
Won't be long till she's working again and I Won't be surprised if some C & C equipment plus Dirt Perfect stickers somehow show up on it.
Maye even a couple of Letsdig18 and Diesel Creek stickers as well.
Matt Diesel Creek loves to rescue old equipment then restoring them.
Like souls think alike and all.
The sound of the wire wheel made my teeth hurt from destist flash-backs.
Hey Mike, as long as it makes you happy, don't worry what anyone else thinks. Keep fighting the good fight.
Rattle can, roller and rock and roll! Good times. Thanks 👏🏻👍🏻🍀
No Safety Crocs to start the video? I like it.
Young man you were grinnin like a dog chewin cork when you said you would address some of the of comments later, almost like you could hardly contain yourself. The ole Triple Nickel is starting to look pretty sweet sir, thanks for the update, enjoying this series youngster.
I found my favorite new way to watch.... 1.5x playback speed.... I thought you was hilarious before..... lol
When you weld a nut to the BH you could weld up the gouging on the front part of the BH to fill it in, then grind it smooth for that Kleeman look!
Captain Kleeman shows patience and fortitude.
Looking good. Loved the monologue about the yellow.
MBTS would love that yellow!! 😂
MBTS would be proud too see you're painting it
Wow what a difference a splash of yellow paint can make looking good captain
Kym.

The number of people who don't listen blows my mind. I enjoy watching your videos but also enjoy listening to them too. Typically you explain everything.
Knowing how humid it’s been I’m sure the paint drying has been slow. Once again I’ve got to give you props..I thought this ole backhoe was a lost cause and belonged in a scrap yard but turns out she had some life left in her after all.
Love your work Mike on the Old Backhoe . and you have many talent too.
21:02-21:50 😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣💪💪💪💪
This video was chocked full of humorous one liners! Got my ab workout today from all that laughing! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I can’t help but laugh at some of the things you say/your sarcasm. You’re a funny guy and I’m glad I started watching your videos
Looking really good Mike, oh and it cracks me up , with your little jokes , like when you was talking about the paint getting on your T-Shirt, so funny, any Hoo, your tractor is gonna look new when done, have a great one Mike👍👍✌️✌️🍮🍮😂😂
I've been really looking forward to this repair Mike, and it's a peach! Great work bud.
I think Aaron recommended the new Holland yellow 😂
We have the Captain and now the Admiral 😅
Just loving this series. Maybe because I "broke my teeth" on one of these 555 learning to run backhoe back in the day on the pipeline. That tractor at idle is so soothing. Best part though is the Suttle comedy verbiage you're giving us. What are you chuckling at ,my wife asks. OHHHH just some young kid on U-tube. Keep it up Captain !😎
Captain doing his magic! Going to be too purdy to use when you are done, 😉
Captain looking great as usual! Thanks for sharing! Kevin
Awesome Captain making the old girl look better kind of like putting lipstick on a pig .LOL
POR15 frame paint will dry in the can overtime.. The paint seals the lid locked to the can. A good, maybe great use of what's leftover would be the bottom of your Dump trucks bed! The THINNER applied the better, IMHO and Yes I have used it in a few dump beds of my own and it works awesome! Hope this TIP works out for you...
them fish plates are going to work well and the paint change is good. not to pry hope wades ok not seen him for 2. 3 months. nice job captain. cheers.
Nice work Mike.👌
The POR will be just fine and you have the perfect comparison between it and the Farm primer. I guess we will have to wait and see which one rusts first.😉
The Quick Attatch will definitely make your life a lot easier once it gets done.🤙
Great work taking fixer uppers and restoring them to functional tools to be used on the homestead. I like your enthusiasm and wit. Keep up the great work.
Mate bugger the nay Sayers what you have done to the old girl she is looking a treat nice work Cheers
Great job great video thanks Mike
Backhoe looking good
@13:56
I would have caught it too since my reflexes are pretty good. However I would have caught it by the roller covered in paint. 🤦♂️
It's going to look almost brand new! Can't wait! And Mike you should get into doing fire house coffee ads your just as funny bro!
All beautiful job , just the new Yellow.... The old one looks better...
Hay, Mike! Outstanding video. I like the new sorta, kinda, Yellow! It will standout. It's times like this video when a "Sky Hook" would be really nice. Old Bones is starting to Shine! Thanks, Lee!
That is some serious Man Behind the Scene Yellow! He will love it. DP going to hate it!
Love your sarcasm, no wonder scammers are doing so well when people don't even listen to what they're being told !!
I’ve always enjoyed your work. Today is an exception - I am amazed!
That was a great catch, and the primer matches the back of your shirt. 😁
Aaron would be proud of you using yellow paint 🎨
Looking good Capt 👍👍🇬🇧🇬🇧
I like how you use that green plastic chair to sit on while doing low work, I use a 5 gal. oil pail with some water in the bottom to keep it from falling over. I use out in the yard for everything. I need it cause I am 76 years oid but still love to tinker.
This video is great, all of it! Well done!👏
I'm going out on a limb here but I bet MBTS likes that yellow 😂
"I'll be dipped" LOL ok Derek hahaha
More entertaining and enjoyable to watch than anything currently on TV...............I mean there is currently a writers strike......and Football hasn't started 🤔......but Still something to be proud of 😊
DSTSC! Don't Sweat The Small Crap! You crack me up. Great job. Your description of what your doing, Priceless. Thank you. Miss you on DP's channel.
Good to see you Mike and I figure you can read directions so what’s everyone’s problem now brother, they always think they know more than anyone else! Some people’s kids, OMG! lol 😂 I’m just interested in watching you restore this good piece of equipment that you saved from the scrapyard and they should appreciate your patience in bringing us along on your journey! Be nice to see you get the 555 more prepared for the winter also! So anything you get done is definitely going to be an improvement brother! I enjoy your channel and appreciate how you explain your step by step procedure! I only comment to help you out and it’s totally up to you if you want to follow my advice or not my friend! I’m not going to go offended either way Mike. I’ve done equipment repairs for years and being a fabricator, I did multiple projects for my company as money jobs and for the company owner at his barn on his equipment! I hope the negative comments don’t bother you because I see right past them my friend! lol 😂
A good fabricator is worth his weight in gold!
Looking good Captain! Great job and video. Keep um coming!
Progress is looking good. Keep on keeping on .
Hi Captain ,did you see Salvage Workshop latest video ,Rescuing 1940's Willys Jeep.He was using a Ford 555 to move them.
KLEEMAN KUSTOM BACKHOES
Doing a bang up job on her CPT. Now can I borrow it for a week 👍👍😂😂😂😂😂😂
