I’ve had severe migraine before to the point that I needed to get my brain scanned because it resembled a stroke. One half of my body went numb and I had aphasia which means I couldn’t speak properly. It is rlly freaky to lose feeling. I can move my body but I have to look at it to confirm movement because I really couldn’t feel it move. And walking was a nightmare. People don’t know how much we depend on our sense of touch to walk in a balanced way. Depending on eyesight alone is really tough and downright impossible as someone with a migraine whose eyesight was also affected. I was not aware of how we walk because we just usually depend on our sense of touch.

It is quite common to experience numbness in feet when sitting uncomfortably for a long time.
I think everyone has had this experience of not knowing when the feet touches the ground and not knowing how much force to apply to stand erect (when experiencing numbness).

I had a mild stroke 9 years ago and for a couple of weeks I lost all feeling on the left side of my body. I could still move and walk but like the video describes, I had to watch my left hand to know what it was doing. If I picked something up, I didn't know how tightly I was gripping it so if I stopped watching it, I would drop things. Luckily my feeling came back. A man in my stroke recovery group never got his feeling back on one side and he accidentally burned his 'unfeeling' hand really badly on a grill. he didn't feel it but eventually noticed the smell of his burning hair and looked down.

Body and mind connection is fascinating. I'm a SA survivor and it's very interesting how trauma is stored in the body. I sometimes disassociate from my body, which is what I did to mentally survive the SA. Problem is it still happens now when I have flashbacks or am triggered by things. The book The Body Keeps the Score by expert Bessel van der Kolk discusses how yoga can retrain the brain and body to understand that it is safe now, to untrap it from the trauma of the past.

Videos like this make me appreciate my body even more.😏

I have super rare nerve damage closely related to MS (in my case signals to the muscles are fine, but limited data comes up back up).
Walking is hard, because I can't feel the floor. Especially on stairs. I tripped a lot "relearning" to walk my first year or so, and even broke a toe at one point.
I cut my hands a lot. But it is kind of nice not to feel pain! I just notice the blood trail and have retrace my steps back to the source.
I get tons of bad bug bites, not knowing I'm being chewed on.
I have stomach issues, because my digestive track doesn't respond to food being there correctly.
Body temp is all over the place. Skin can't sense / regulate (any) temperature swings.
Lots of weird balance and mothion sickness issues too.
I'm also really sensitive to light and sound now too. Going to the movies is brutal.
It can be frustrating. But out of all the diseases to have, being "immune to pain" is probably the way to go!
Honestly, the scariest part was waiting to be diagnosed. I had tons of MRIs looking for brain and spine tumors, strokes, autoimmune disorders..... its was months waiting to hear "you'll be dead soon."

The whole 5 senses thing is a myth, we have many senses: time, temperature, hunger, location of body parts in relation to each other, balance, etc.

I love the grounded reality of this channel! If you’re not in the financial market space right now, I advice you do cause if you don’t then you’re making a big mistake. I understand that it could be due to ignorance, but if you want to make your money work for you, prevent inflation from destroying your savings, build generational wealth, and cultivate good habits with the right financial knowledge, you must be in the market.

@@danlarson295 Trust me getting into trading is a wise decision so you’re welcome. But please don’t self trade so you don’t lose so much money, self trading has brought lots of new investors down. I advise you look for a professional with a proven record, who has the right knowledge on technical and fundamental analysis and invest with. I highly recommend Expert Richard Braun cause that’s who I have been trading with for a long time now.
