Hi Addam! Great video my friend - it was all going so well, and then the spur gear! Same here, never had a problem in any of my kits before, sure is a bummer. Well, I've watched two times your video for to be sure to understand. It's the first time for me too : I never seen a problem with the parts of Tamiya kit's, but I hope if you shoot a pictures for examination, they are sending a new spur gear. For the rest it's all good Addam! The driver is very nice, do you have a idea for painting him? I'm very impressed by the front cell, the parts are very condensed, and multitude of parts. The gold chrome of the wheels is just "wow"! The spikes of the rear axles are very beautiful. The elfes are very gentles! Cool presentation, clear and cheerfulness! See you soon!
I will work with Tamiya to get a new gear, ordered one from eBay to get it fast so I can finish the build but won't hurt to have a spare. I will probably do the driver as he is pictured on the box but who knows, I may get creative! There are a lot of parts to the front end but it works really well and very smoothly. Thanks for watching and as always for the very kind and supportive comments!!!
Yeah new gear should be here today so no big deal. Just a minor delay but a good tip to inspect all parts before assembly just in case!! Thanks for watching!!!
If I remember correctly, this was first car. I loved it it, but removing the top plate was a pita for maintenance. Thanks for the video. Now I'm compelled to buy the Nova!
Yeah, there are a few screws holding the top plate down and it'll slow down things if you have to get in there but with today's modern electronics it shouldn't be too often I'll need to dive in there (I hope!). It is a beautiful car and you won't be upset if you snag one!!

It really depends on if you are going to build it. If you are going to build and run it then I would say get the new one and some MCI reproduction decals and save a good bit of money. If you adding it for the collector value and plan on keeping it as is then the NIB original sounds cool, depending on the price. It all comes down to your budget and plans.
