- BRICKLAYING - Never buy CORNER BLOCKS again!
When bricklaying I am forever losing my corner blocks so I decided to make my own.
In this bricklaying video I show you how to make your own wooden corner blocks and attach them to bricklaying lines and pins.
If you prefer plastic corner blocks you can buy some here: amzn.to/2TIpfKI

i don't use corner blocks because i cannot lay bricks. i just like watching your videos.
Truly hilarious comedy for family & friends of DIYers 👍👍👍 Those thumbs down blokes must be bloody moody opinionated *itches
Over the last 45 years I have built many houses, mostly mansions, Skyscrapers, detached houses and the odd bungalow.
I have never used corner blocks. I just eye it.
I always get it 100% correct. I don't know, it's just something that I have always done. You've either got it or you haven't. I've built extravagant buildings, Skyscrapers, multistorey buildings, all without corner blocks or spirit levels. And the finish is perfectly level.
I once forgot my trowel and spade and I built an entire block of flats using a butter knife and a teaspoon. All perfectly level. It took me about 1 week.
I don't mean to brag but I'm probably the best bricklayer on planet earth. I actually invented bricklaying in fact.
Had me in the first half, ngl. Nice name lol
@@ninpeg4441 it's a true story I swear.
I do like you alot , definitely a man that's hard not to like and what makes you different from all the other bricklaying channels is you don't take yourself too seriously and you also don't bite at everyone's comments and get ya knickers in a twist when someone else has a different point of view to yourself , I like that
Alot it's a good way to be mate 👌well done I've subbed, all the best
😂😂😂😂 brilliant ending 😂😂😂
Dont know if anyone cares but if you are stoned like me during the covid times you can watch all the new series on InstaFlixxer. Been watching with my girlfriend for the last days xD
@Kamryn Jimmy definitely, I have been watching on InstaFlixxer for since december myself :)
Always used my own wooden ones but instead of putting a notch around outside for line I screw two screws in back of corner blocks for line to wrap around👍
The outtakes mate 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Cracking me up 👍🏻
What's make it funny is "don't take this in the wrong way. But!" You're not a natural in front of a camera, so people find it funny because that's how the majority of us would act if we was shooting a video for UA-cam lol that's you're best video yet! Keep it up man! Love your content!
Loving the bloopers, ha ha nice one!
Always made our own corner blocks and bucket handle jointer 50 years ago
Waffle waffle waffle haha so funny watching you clap those blocks together
Great video very entertaining and that Gary bloke wants stringing up lol
I swear to Baby Jesus the intro is so accurate. I don't mind letting a few go missing but I'm not above having a tool bag shakedown if I'm missing a lot. Line pins are worse for me.
Hahahaha! Great addition to See Jane Drill!
Good tip... always make these in the evening. Just in case you slip with the saw and gash your hand open. That way you can get down the hospital sand get stiched up, without it costing you a days money 🤓
Quality outtakes mate! Almost as long as the content! I will make some of those blocks for sure, anything hand made is better. Thanks for the tips
Absolutely hilarious at the end more in next video
Never seen a brickie with a sharp saw😆😆👍🏻
Very true a bricklayers saw is so blunt you could ride bare arsed on the blade all day long!!😂😂😃👍
Thanks
Haha them bloopers are quality
Awesome thank you A+
Oh man you made my day with your stuff up bloopers lol loved it 👍...great job on the blocks by the way 👍
Thanks buddy. People seem to love the bloopers 😁🤙🏼🧱
Rodian Builds ..,No worry’s mate adds to the content of your video and puts a smile on many a face , now that’s always a good thing brother. 👍
very helpful , thanks
🤣🤣 love it mate
Lmao I wonder why the aroplanes choose that flight path? maybe they wafle too? hahah 🤣
Awesome
Fucking howling 🤣🤣🤣 please find some more bloopers and give us more content like that absolutely brilliant mate 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Excellent
If you drill a hole in, it will help hold tighter to the corner, because weird physics.
This is smart i have made my cornerbloks for 30 j 👍😁
😂😂😂You going to have to start writing it down 🤣🤣🤣👍👍👍
What if you cant use a corner block or vertical gauge at either end because you are butting up to a wall or fence? many thanks
Use a nail. Mason nail in a brick wall & usual one in wood. You need to set your nail to gauge & level carefully, use a long level for a short distance, laser level if you have one, or a water level, if all else does not work for you for some reason.
Полезная штука
Great vid mate 👍
I always keep my eyes peeled for any old pieces of hard wood. They last years if you make them out of that. If you don`t lose them obviously lol
We call it a job site because it's a site where we go to do our jobs. Pretty simple really. 😀
That's amazing, most masonry suppliers will give you line blocks for free
My dad was a bricky for 60 years a d always made his own corner blocks, these modern plastic ones don't grip the corners as good as wooden ones
Mmmm waffles 🧇
Well played.. Love your vids bud. Thanks for the effort! Jobsite gobshite!
👍
Strangely enough I was putting a missing screw on the back of my late father's Blocks today.
He made em out of scrap hardwood, the screw was what he wrapped the line round and he also did a cut the opposite way to what the line goes.
Another 2 minute failure 😂but very entertaining as always , you crack us up pal 😂🤣.
As for that wall behind you Rodian that is proper PUKKA as you people “down south “ say love it , especially the colours 👌🏼🧱👍🏼
from your other video , about bad habbits i think of one more, cutting your bricks with the trowel, it just hurts me to se that trowel take a beating XD have a good one
Can't find them in me bag....😁
Funny 😝😝😝
Started watching your videos today, I'm a gardener by trade and find brick laying pretty interesting and was curious to see how it all works, the outtakes in this video though had me laughing out loud literally 😂😂👌👌 love the content, very easy to follow and learn, keep up the good work!
😂 legend
🤣🤣Great video mate.
Jobsite Jobsite Jobsite
I used to make corner blocks out of off cuts of thermalite blocks if I was stuck
:) thanks bro
👍👍👍
A++
Hi Rodian, I'm a big fan of your work. I have a question on window openings and I am hoping you can answer as it has been annoying me for days. Here it goes. With a 2 leaf building (brick outside / block inside) for the window opening must the openings be the same size? or is the (outer) brick opening 20 mm less than the inner opening i.e. to stop the window falling threw the opening? I hope you can give me some expert advice here.
The link for the corner blocks isnt working love?
Make 2 way corner block
the amount of plastic corner blocks i have had go missing must be a lot and making wooden ones not so yes i all ways make my own
amazing haha
Ha, ha......we're only here for the out takes!
Ok I know how to make wooden blocks but how do I get them to stay on the brickwork without gravity taking over?
Wafle Wednesday 🤣
Good video, but NEVER trust the Nevilles.
I thought the profiles would have eliminated the need to build corners and run the line in therefore no need for corner blocks??
You still the corner blocks for the profile . Even more so
I made some there are no such thing here n my place in the Philippines
I will confirm that. Learnt how to mass produce my own here in PH.
I make em so they’re bigger and have better hold on the corner, plastic is too slippery
Fuck that I’d rather just buy a corner block
Thanks dude...I laughed my tits off at that...🤣🤣🤣👍
the amount of times i lost my corner blocks, i must have made a few hundred in my life-time. Now i make them using my 230mm angle grinder. Much faster than using a saw.
Or if your good friends with a joiner, show him this video and ask him to make a few corner blocks
Think ya 2 mins as rang out m8 lol
Who buys corner blocks anyways? I get them free from the supply yard since I'm spending a fair amount of money with them. They get them free from the cement company.
I don't buy them. Rhodes gives me 4 with every brick order.
😂😂😂
Funny as f##k mate, earning to much pal, get back on your trowel😂
Thank you for waste of time
dude check if your mental order are in check. and stop talking to yourself.
