As I watched this with my two boys, my 6 year old got very excited: “Daddy! Daddy! That’s our pump track.” Then a little later, “Daddy, that’s our bike trail.” Nice bike and nice to see our local trails being shown off.
@GCNTeam I love this video. I love the way the technical information was interwoven with practical use, cinematography, and context of where or how I would ride the bike and just plain have fun. A shortcut to a beer or coffee really is on people's minds when we ride, that sort of thing brings the video home, like it could be one of us out there. I got a feel for the bike and a day in the life of it. I'd love to see some of the presenters' bikes videos (re)done in this format (and others).
Absolutely love that gray & black paint job, that way the color doesn't distract from the beauty of the bike itself. Some bikes just have too busy of a paint scheme on them.
Looks like Factor gained a name for itself sponsoring a pro team and transitioned into a market where they can really start to profit. Timing the release of this bike less than a day after AG2R dropped them as a bike supplier couldn't have been any more strategic. This looks like a solid effort at making a very versatile gravel racer. I'm sure Factor will be the Pinerello of the gravel bike market now. Grey color is perfect for a gravel bike also.
Really nice bike that Dan, cheers. Great film as always, all the presenters of GCN are very good folks I must say but you are still my favorite Dan, a perfect hair game, nice relaxed banter and honest opinions, cheers mate.
A bike like this is probably the best choice for most people out there. If you're not trying to be a Cat 1 racer, you're probably good with something like this. Comfortable, versatile, confidence-inspiring, with the only real sacrifice being the absolute top-end speed, can't go wrong.
Great video. Nice editing, informative, good length, not too many British puns ... this one was a winner. :) I cant believe they dont let you keep the bike on these paid promotions. That is a rip. You guys should put it in the contract that you keep the products.
^ Setting it as a prize, at least, may be good (if both parties want it). Dan did great on this Factor bike, but I'd like to see him try Trek's Checkpoint, too. 😁
Good morning Dan & Crew. Looked like you genuinely enjoyed riding that! Maybe that's what the "Gravel Scene" (if indeed there is one) is all about. Cycling with a bit of a smile on your face and the ability to have a little pop off road when the feeling grabs you. I just raced gravel in France, sun on your back, great route and scenery and last off road part on the beach before riding on the road back to the finish, which felt great. Of course I was blasted into oblivion by the French National Cyclocross Champion, but that wasn't the point, I have to say it was one of the most enjoyable races I have ever competed in. The riders smiles on mud-caked faces at the finish bore testament to that! Stop whining about gravel, it's here, it's great, embrace it! Ride on! Tim
I moved from Ferndown to Vancouver, Canada 9 years ago, so it was great to see the old riding haunts. Not all bad, I have two mountains to ride up within 30 minutes of home.
Love that bike. Reminds me of the days when one bike carried me from tarmac to dirt, long haul on a Saturday and back and forth to school through the week.
whilst performance is a great thing, it's not that important for a gravel bike. I personally can't get a high average speed on my gravel bike, but because I often stop to take pictures and look for other trails to explore. I just love the feeling of wandering in small trails and relaxing while I see tons of road cyclists clinching their teeth to beat Strava KOM on busy streets.
I live in Bristol and the best views are only accessible on foot or by mtn/gravel bike. Most of my routes are pretty much road free and I stop to take photos and take in the views. As Dan said its pretty much where I started as a cyclist on a mtn bike exploring trails and getting lost. I can ride to the trails, hate driving and get the miles in too. Love gravel bikes/road plus or whatever people call them.
Thank you for confirming my decision today to buy the Factor Vista CHPT3 frame. It's going to be my bike in to my 70's and I really like the fact that it gives me the option for different types of travel. My 23 mm's will miss me but I'm looking forward to discovering the 30 - 35 mm range!
I don't dispute the logic behind those low seat stays but my Giant Revolt has them and I had problems fitting a pannier rack for touring, which gravel bikes are of course perfect for. Had to get a seat post clamp you could bolt the rack stays onto AND get longer stays. Only a minor grumble though, otherwise it's an amazing bike.
Looks really nice, now I just need to save up for it, lol. The new forest is definitely the right type of terrain for it too, when I was there a couple of years back I found my mountain bike was more than was needed. I also remember being sat in the same pub at the end of my rides too, lol.
Great video, lovely bike, lovely place, must get back there, grew up in the New Forest, geologically of course a lot of the NF is ‘gravel’.....perfect.
Gotta say that is one very cool looking bike. I think that I especially like the Chptr3 collaboration. Almost feel like Dan decided to do this video for 2 reasons.... reason 1, that it was close to his home and he could show off what the New Forest was like and relive a bit of his glory days as MTB demon! Reason 2, he got to end the video in the pub... can't be a Lloyd video without some mention of beer there! ha ha. Love the bike and very interested to see how that handled on a bit of the rough stuff. Did you ever get off the big ring? Looked like you were smashing it on those trails! Thanks for this!
Dan's stunt double is almost identical to him. The person getting air in the jumps looked just like Dan, maybe a bit heavier then him, but well done whoever you are!!!! 😉
Have to say, these Gravel/ All Road bikes are absolutely perfect for riding in the UK. In fact, I'm getting rid of my CX bike, and deciding which one to buy....
It’s cool. I think the bike trails around me are too rough for a bike like this though. For people who do have a selection of mild gravel and dirt tracks near them, something like this would be perfect for them.
Bike looks good - this sector is getting pretty mature and most but not all the new ones are a really good choice for all around duties.. Love the the look of the factor 3 collaboration!👍🚴🏻♀️🚴🏾♂️🎥📸
Loved the video and bike looks amazing, it would be cool if you could do these types of videos on bikes that people without a massive wallet can afford
I think when these designers start talking compliance, they're mostly full of bull. Compliance is more of a marketing term in bike design than an engineering theme. That rear triangle arc points the wrong way to increase compliance. Think of a bridge, which arches against the force acting on it, resisting the bending and dipping in the middle. Looks amazing though.
Enjoyed that thanks Dan and team - did I miss the price ? I have been on the factor website and the price is not there either..............so are we to assume this is a hideously expensive bike ? 10k ???? Would love to know !
That was 10:29 of #GCNinspiration! How'd you like the Goodyear tires? They've been getting very positive reviews. (P.S. - Yes, I work for Goodyear...See my photo.)
If I were to choose a bike, this would have been my number 1 pick. Only that I won't have the money for this so Id have ta choose btween cheapies. But being sneaky I could always find sweet cookies under the basket ;)
How would this compare to on of the mid-range Specialized Diverges? Carbon frames and a bit of suspension seem very appealing but they are never mentioned here? Is that because they don’t play the sponsorship game?
Whoever does the editing at gcn needs a raise, great job guys!
the team really step up... the shots plus soundtrack! kudos!
I especially loved that transition between the 2 different paintjobs!
As I watched this with my two boys, my 6 year old got very excited: “Daddy! Daddy! That’s our pump track.” Then a little later, “Daddy, that’s our bike trail.” Nice bike and nice to see our local trails being shown off.

Thanks Bill. 👍
Absolutely love that gray & black paint job, that way the color doesn't distract from the beauty of the bike itself. Some bikes just have too busy of a paint scheme on them.
When I clicked on the title I was expecting a pun from Dan based on the name, 3 seconds in... he didn't disappoint :)
Looks like Factor gained a name for itself sponsoring a pro team and transitioned into a market where they can really start to profit. Pinerello already makes a gravel bike, GAN GR, and it clears a 38 at least.
Really nice bike that Dan, cheers. Great film as always, all the presenters of GCN are very good folks I must say but you are still my favorite Dan, a perfect hair game, nice relaxed banter and honest opinions, cheers mate.

That looks absolutely stunning although enough about Dan's hair, the bike looks good too.
Great video. Nice editing, informative, good length, not too many British puns ... this one was a winner. :)
I cant believe they dont let you keep the bike on these paid promotions. That is a rip. You guys should put it in the contract that you keep the products.
Or at least that every featured product becomes a featured prize for GCN viewers, whoop whoop.
^ Setting it as a prize, at least, may be good (if both parties want it). Dan did great on this Factor bike, but I'd like to see him try Trek's Checkpoint, too. 😁
I bought this bike just because this video. Simply gorgeous. Thumbs up to GCN.

That opening was cheesy as hell and I love it
Dan was very pleased with himself.
For some, cheesy is easy.
Woah great cinematography kudos to everyone at gcn
Only thing I liked more than the bike was the presentation of it. Absolutely superb.
I moved from Ferndown to Vancouver, Canada 9 years ago, so it was great to see the old riding haunts. Not all bad, I have two mountains to ride up within 30 minutes of home.
Whose your stunt double for the jumps Dan? He can REALLY ride :-)
I hope it rides faster than Windows Vista used to work.
And crash less often.
Omg thats the best looking stem of all time! Its almost as nice as the one on the venge vias!!!
Love that bike. Reminds me of the days when one bike carried me from tarmac to dirt, long haul on a Saturday and back and forth to school through the week.
Fantastic revew, guis, for fantastic bike......good, so good!
That jump... Say no more.

I just love the feeling of wandering in small trails and relaxing while I see tons of road cyclists clinching their teeth to beat Strava KOM on busy streets.
I for one don't ride my bike to then park it somewhere and go for a stroll. I strangely ride my bike for "biking" part
I live in Bristol and the best views are only accessible on foot or by mtn/gravel bike. Most of my routes are pretty much road free and I stop to take photos and take in the views. Hi Dan, good to see you on this episode!

Great review Dan nice to see you get some air. thanks
Dan really learn to jump in that GMBN old video. Really nice off road riding skills.
That beer completes the video
Did Dan drink and ride (back home)? Or even worse - after finishing the beer and returning the bike to FACTOR, rode his car back home?
These gravel bikes are just making the n+1 situation worse
It will be n-1 in my case. My new gravel bike will be replacing my road and mountain bikes.
Looks like worlds of fun!!
Great looking bike nice and clean! Congratulations I didn't realize you guys hit 1.5 million sub!!!
Excellent, Dan, and surely you'll get a memo from Factor, wondering about those stunts for Extreme Corner.
Awesome video, desperate to get back to the new forest now!
So this is what GMBN trained Dan to jump for
Lloydy doing off-road half his presenting time is soothing to the eyes. Carry on, lad. Go on an adventure next. 😁
New Forest National Park and The Woods Cyclery friends is a heart of gravel cycling in the UK 😊👊
How can Dan propel that thing forward? It's not an e-bike.
They push him before he rolls into the scene.
This is so rude. Don't listen to them Dan. A Dan is always the Man.
He knew there was a pint at the end of the ride; carrot & stick etc...
@Panos peterpan DanDroid
Great piece but superb shots and editing.
Well done!
Thats one beautiful bike!
Dan Lloyd still rides bikes.... Yes! the BOSS is back.
Nice Counties you got on these rims. I hope they are tubeless though, because as we all know "resistance is butyl".
okimy Yes, they are tubeless. All the tires in the new Goodyear line are tubeless.
Hahaha, that's both terrible and hilarious.
These puns never tire me out.
That is one great looking bike!
Looks really nice, now I just need to save up for it, lol. The new forest is definitely the right type of terrain for it too, when I was there a couple of years back I found my mountain bike was more than was needed. I also remember being sat in the same pub at the end of my rides too, lol.
very beautiful bike... no wheelie beautiful...
Really good vibes and mood in the vista... to bad is not cheap or easy to get one here
Love the New Forest.
Dan done your job here. Folks like F'Bridge new Forrest. Never thought I'd want a Gravel Bike in Stockport Mcr. Now I do
this bike looks like a lot of fun and i love the designe the fframe reminds me a little bit of a bmc bike
Great video, lovely bike, lovely place, must get back there, grew up in the New Forest, geologically of course a lot of the NF is ‘gravel’.....perfect.

These skills deserves a mention in the extreme corner
Nice bike!!!
That bike is so clean
Wow nice bike !!!!
That is a great looking bike
Perfect ending to any day out on the bike. That pint is making me thirsty.
Nice seat post copy-design from the Giant D-Fuse system.
You guys really rock... you guys actually made a fine rider out of a 16yo racing driver
Have to say, these Gravel/ All Road bikes are absolutely perfect for riding in the UK. In fact, I'm getting rid of my CX bike, and deciding which one to buy....
Your ride Is cool!!!
It’s cool. I think the bike trails around me are too rough for a bike like this though. For people who do have a selection of mild gravel and dirt tracks near them, something like this would be perfect for them.
In our language(Latvian) Vista means chicken...
That's why Windows with same name was so dumb. It was for chickens
Good job nobody knows where Latvia is then.
@@thelmaviaduct Yes your right....But if you Have learned geography in school
@@thelmaviaduct I'm 14 and I know where every country is at!Because Latvian schools educates you good.
@@arnoldszarins3200 i bet you don't know where Winchester is !!!! Nobody does, it's the Latvia of England.
Bike looks good - this sector is getting pretty mature and most but not all the new ones are a really good choice for all around duties..
Love the the look of the factor 3 collaboration!👍🚴🏻♀️🚴🏾♂️🎥📸
Dan trying to get some air! 😆
Please review the Ibis Hakka MX!
I love riding in the new Forrest, that bike looks the business, great video, price would have been good to mention though. Atb
As with the other Factor bikes, if you have to ask...
Finally people are starting to use ‘all road ‘ instead of ‘gravel’ to describe this kind of bike.
Nice byke. Easy to ride.
As long as it performs better than Microsoft's version...
I'd like to see a company make custom frames per your weight.
Not a big fan of the look of most gravel/all-road bikes, but that Factor is lovely.
Loved the video and bike looks amazing, it would be cool if you could do these types of videos on bikes that people without a massive wallet can afford
I think us Americans can do with out the mudguard/fender translation. No one is getting confused. ;)
NICE!!!!!

At 8.41 I think Dan would have hit the low flat rock on the path, but for the late correction.
This bike reminds me the ribble endurance slr from this year. Can you gonna test it as well?
I think Dan needs to show us how much more air he'd get with a dropper post on there.
Enjoyed that thanks Dan and team - did I miss the price ? I have been on the factor website and the price is not there either..............so are we to assume this is a hideously expensive bike ? 10k ???? Would love to know !
I believe it's £3800 for the frame, fork, stem, bars and seaport. Dan
Will this video be freatured on next week's extreme corner?
Either that or something on GMBN, just to show Blake that he's not the only extreme presenter.
Dan still got it.... ;)
How great is the new front end on the bike%.
That was 10:29 of #GCNinspiration! How'd you like the Goodyear tires? They've been getting very positive reviews. (P.S. - Yes, I work for Goodyear...See my photo.)

Sounds good, looks great, probably I cant afford it 😭😭
0:20 are we meant to believe that is Dan getting some air?
Nice video, great looking bike presented really well by Dan. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
nice review lovely bike. any estimation on price?
5:22 what are those weird pedals ?
Den the Man thats the cleats pedals
GCN....How to soften a preload with lock fork in mtb.
Can you please compare this bike to the BMC Roadmachine?? Also would Factor label the Vista as their all road (but also endurance) bike?
Dan if your after narley trails head to the back of fritham great mtb teratory
Dan you should get one
Fantastic video very nice bike . How much is the only question?
How would this compare to on of the mid-range Specialized Diverges? Carbon frames and a bit of suspension seem very appealing but they are never mentioned here? Is that because they don’t play the sponsorship game?
Congratulations to Factor for doing a great copy job from BMC bike geometry of the frame.Could they not think of their own design.
9:13 missed tabletop opportunity, Dan!
That was my effort at a tabletop. Dan
Global Cycling Network fair play.
Global Cycling Network which part of the New Forest was the single track in? Was it Moors Valley?
Yep!
